Chapter 88 Play with Me

Chapter 88 Play with Me

Is it a love or friendship entanglement?

Han Siti pursed her lips and smiled, summarizing what happened at the last dinner in a few words.

Chen Jingzhi suddenly realized: "No wonder you just asked me if Huai Nian came."

The dishes were served and Chen Jingzhi changed the subject.

"Take a look at these dishes and see if they suit your taste."

Han Siti raised the corners of her mouth and smiled sweetly: "It's very delicious, thank you Auntie."

"Don't be so polite, just eat." Chen Jingzhi looked at her, sizing her up.

Han Siti felt a little nervous when being stared at.

Just then, a message popped up on the phone, disrupting the awkward scene.

Han Siti picked it up and saw that it was sent by Jin Huainian.

Jin Huaian: [Have you eaten?]

Chen Jingzhi probably guessed who the other person was. She smiled and said, "Did Huai Nian send you a message?"

Han Siti didn't reply and put the phone aside.

"He asked me if I had eaten."

Chen Jingzhi's eyes were gentle, and she looked like a good mother-in-law: "He is quite attached to you. To be honest, I never thought he would like a girl like you."

Han Siti raised her head upon hearing this, her eyes moist.

"I'm also surprised that he likes me." Her voice was as sweet as ever.

Chen Jingzhi began to talk about Jin Huainian, from his birth to elementary school and then to junior high school.

"You wouldn't believe it, but he was muddleheaded and rebellious for a while before." Chen Jingzhi, lost in his imagination, continued, "After he got into a car accident, he became more composed. Later, he went abroad with them."

"Them? Are they the two we just met outside?" Han Siti asked knowingly.

"Well, but Huaian came back after graduation, and I haven't had any contact with them in the past few years." Chen Jingzhi said.

After a few seconds, Han Siti casually asked, "Did they have a fight?"

"It wasn't really a fight. We were all too young at the time, and our relationship was still a blur. We couldn't handle it properly, so we broke up."

What's the meaning?

Han Siti stopped eating and asked, "Do they all like that girl?"

Then Jin Huainian failed to win and returned home in disappointment?

It looks a bit bleak.

Chen Jingzhi chuckled: "How could that be? She likes Huai Nian, and then Zhou Jingchen likes her."

Han Siti listened quietly.

"Then Zhou Jingchen wanted to match her up with Huai Nian, but my son didn't want to. So the two of them took action, like little kids, and didn't contact each other for several years because of such a small matter."

Han Siti held her chin in her hand, her thoughts gradually coming back to her senses: "Jin Huainian is right again."

I like Qu Qinglin, but I insist on being a flower protector and pushing her to someone else. What can I say?

Chen Jingzhi: "Yeah, I just didn't expect them to be together now, but it's good this way, let's look forward to it."

Han Siti finally figured this out.

She sighed. It was not as interesting as the rich love drama she had imagined.

After dinner, Han Siti accompanied Chen Jingzhi for a walk.

"Do you like this?"

Chen Jingzhi pointed to a luxury brand bag in the counter.

Han Siti's eyes lit up and the corners of her mouth couldn't help but rise up, but she kept holding it in.

"Can I like it?" She smiled shyly, trying her best to maintain her personality.

"What's wrong with that? I'll give you whatever you like, no matter how much it is. Don't be polite with me." Chen Jingzhi said.

Several salesgirls surrounded them.

At this moment, Han Siti really regarded her as her future mother-in-law.

Jin Huainian's generosity probably comes from his mother.

After shopping, Jin Huainian came to pick her up.

"Son, thank you for taking me back." Chen Jingzhi got into the back seat without waiting for his consent, and then said, "Dandan, you can sit in the passenger seat. It's quite close to the Jin residence. You don't have to sit in the back with me."

Han Siti nodded and turned to the passenger seat.

Jin Huaian looked calm: "Mom, you didn't bring a driver?"

"No." Chen Jingzhi lied without changing his expression.

Jin Huainian started the car without saying anything.

It drove for a few minutes.

It was quiet inside.

"Son, guess who we met today?" Chen Jingzhi suddenly said from behind.

Jin Huaian was clearly not interested, and only replied perfunctorily: "Who?"

"Zhou Jingchen and Qu Qinglin, isn't that a coincidence?" Chen Jingzhi laughed a few times. "Are you still angry with them now?"

"No." What Jin Huainian said was true. He didn't have the time to care about others.

Chen Jingzhi stopped talking and leaned aside with his eyes closed to rest.

In just over ten minutes, we arrived at Jin's house.

Chen Jingzhi got out of the back seat: "Bye Dandan, see you next time, come and visit when you have time."

Han Siti smiled and replied, "Bye, Auntie."

After seeing Chen Jingzhi off, she was visibly happy.

"What did you go out for?" Jin Huainian glanced over and asked casually.

"Don't you know? I was shopping and having dinner, and then I ran into your two friends." Han Siti took out his mobile phone absentmindedly, playing with it while taking the time to reply to him.

Jin Huainian looked stern: "What did you buy?"

Speaking of this, Han Siti was extremely happy, with curved eyebrows and sparkling pupils.

"Your mother bought me a bag," she said.

Jin Huainian lowered his eyelids and said in a calm tone, "Are you so happy?"

"I'm happy." Han Siti tapped the screen of her phone and said, "Your mother is quite nice. She's not what I imagined."

"It's good, so I don't have to worry about the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law problem in the future."

Han Siti paused, and only later realized that she had been led astray by him again.

She chuckled.

"Don't worry if you don't get married." Han Siti replied with the corner of her lips pulled.

Jin Huainian's jawline was tense, and he was choked by her and couldn't find the words for a while.

Return to Yijiangyue.

Han Siti put her bag into the cloakroom, and when she came out she touched Cookie's head.

Auntie just took it to take a bath, and it smells so good.

Han Siti held it and sniffed it several times.

After she put it down, Cookie circled around her twice, furry like a ball, and Han Siti was almost melted by its cuteness.

As soon as she came back, she played with Cookie. Jin Huainian rubbed his eyebrows and said to her, "Come and play with me. Let it take a nap."

"Why are you sleeping so early? I'm not sleepy at all." Han Siti refused to go over and continued to sit there cross-legged.

Jin Huainian took a step forward and came over to catch the man.

"If I say it's sleepy, it's sleepy." He was wearing a loose home suit, with his hair hanging down, softening his deep facial features and making him look less sharp.

Cookie didn't know who he learned this from, but when he saw that the atmosphere was not right, he hid in her arms.

Han Siti felt a little itchy when it rubbed her.

"Don't be unreasonable." She raised her head and muttered to him.

Jin Huainian looked down at her with his arms slightly open, as if waiting for her to stand up and hug him.

Han Siti moved her legs and felt a tingling sensation. She frowned, her pretty face filled with misery: "My legs are numb, I can't get up."

Jin Huainian leaned over, and Cookie automatically jumped out of her arms and ran to the side.
