Chapter 91 Speaking

Chapter 91 Speaking

Han Siti lay on the table, staring intently, and at this moment it seemed as if time had stopped.

After get off work in the evening.

There were not many people in the underground garage and it was very quiet.

Han Siti quickly got into the car and fastened her seat belt. At this time, messages kept popping up on her phone.

She originally thought it was Jin Yi, but unexpectedly it was Chen Jingzhi.

Chen Jingzhi: [Dandan, are your parents free recently? I want to meet with them to discuss the engagement.]

Han Siti paused, then frowned.

She pursed her lips, her thoughts becoming increasingly confused, so she simply threw her phone aside and stopped thinking about it.

The movement was a bit big and made a noise every once in a while.

Jin Huainian lowered his eyes for a moment and saw the message.

"I'll talk to her later." Jin Huainian looked at her with an unclear emotion.

Han Siti's eyelashes trembled and she folded her hands across her chest.

"You know, I don't want to get engaged so soon." She calmed herself down and said in a tone that was non-negotiable.

The man's hands, which were originally on the steering wheel, tightened for a moment, and he remained silent for a moment, his brows and eyes showing a bit of coldness.

"Don't you want to do it so quickly, or don't you?" he said self-deprecatingly.

As if his thoughts had been guessed, Han Siti looked a little guilty even when he lowered his head.

She didn't say anything, and in Jin Huainian's opinion, she agreed to the latter.

It was silent all the way.

Han Siti couldn't tell how many times they had been in a cold war.

No matter whose point of view you take, it makes sense.

She lay down on the bed after washing. Jin Huainian had not entered the bedroom before going to bed. The dim light enveloped her, and her face looked peaceful.

——

The next day.

Han Siti didn't set the alarm last night, so it was already noon when she woke up.

She subconsciously touched the side and found it cold and empty.

Auntie just happened to knock on the door and asked her to come out for dinner.

"Auntie, when did he leave?" Han Siti asked after washing up and going to eat.

"He left in the morning." Auntie said with a smile.

He didn't even call her.

Han Siti finished packing and arrived at the company at around one o'clock.

Everyone had just finished lunch and there were a lot of people at the elevator entrance.

"Secretary Han, did you ask for leave this morning?" Someone asked in confusion as they saw her rushing over.

Han Siti straightened her slightly messy hair and said, "Yeah."

Everyone got into the elevator.

She slept for the whole morning and is now in good spirits, smiling at everyone she sees.

"Secretary Han, are you about to get married?" someone next to her asked her.

Han Siti suddenly stopped smiling: "What good news?"

"That photo of you and Mr. Jin's mom shopping has spread all over the internet, right?"

Han Siti blinked and asked seriously: "So?"

The man smiled and said, "When will you treat us to wedding candy?"

Someone else followed suit, trying to pry into the authenticity of this relationship: "Yes, Secretary Han."

Han Siti replied lazily: "There's no wedding candy, you can ask someone else for it."

The elevator kept opening and closing, and there were only a few people left inside.

"So you and Mr. Jin are not together?" Everyone naturally understood it this way.

Han Siti's eyelashes cast a shadow, and her consciousness was a little confused.

Everyone stared at her intently, not missing any of her expressions.

Han Siti took a deep breath and smiled. "Everyone is so curious about my relationship. When we get married, you must give me some money as a gift."

They looked at each other in surprise: "Secretary Han is such a joke."

The elevator dinged and opened.

Several people hurried out.

"Is she really going to be with Mr. Jin?"

"I've already met and shopped with Mr. Jin's mom, so it must be true."

"Who knows? A family like Mr. Jin's would be interested in her."

They discussed it in low voices for a few minutes.

Han Siti had just sat down at her workstation when Assistant Xu came out of the office.

She called out, "Assistant Xu, is there anything I can do for you?"

The man stopped and shook his head: "No."

Han Siti sat there without thinking much: "Okay."

"There is a partner inside now. You can wait for him to come out before going in." Assistant Xu originally wanted to leave, but after thinking about it, he said this.

Han Siti propped up her chin and muttered, "I didn't say I wanted to go in."

Assistant Xu was stunned for a moment, then withdrew his gaze and left.

Half an hour later, the partner came out of the office.

Han Siti stood up and walked him to the elevator.

When she came back, she sent a message to Jin Yi.

【I'll sleep at your house tonight. 】

Jin Yi: [Did you have a fight with my brother?]

Han Siti: [Is it so obvious?]

Jin Yi: [Why else would you suddenly want to sleep at my house? Tell me, what happened?]

Han Siti pursed her lips. "Nothing serious. We just have a disagreement. He wants to get engaged soon, but I don't want to."

Jin Yi: [If you really count, you and my brother have been together for several years, right? You should be used to each other's presence. Isn't getting engaged now a good thing?]

Han Siti's heart trembled, as if he had walked onto a bottomless cliff.

Jin Yi: [Imagine, if you broke up with my brother and never saw him again, wouldn't you be sad?]

Sometimes Jin Yi's words do make sense.

Han Siti put her phone aside and the moment she looked up she saw the office door opened.

She lowered her head and used the computer to cover herself. The steady footsteps came from far away, getting louder and louder. Every step seemed to knock on her eardrums.

The man tapped his knuckles on the edge of the table.

Han Siti slowly raised her head and looked at him, her expression not looking very good.

"Print a copy." Jin Huainian was not much better, and his tone was very cold.

Han Siti stood up and took a stack of documents from his hand without even glancing at him.

Jin Huainian stood in front of her workstation and waited for a few minutes.

Han Siti handed him the printed document.

"Speak." Jin Huainian stared at her, his voice filled with unquestionable oppression.

Han Siti immediately exploded: "What do you want me to say? I'm not getting engaged!"

She was a little angry, her mind went blank, and she said it subconsciously.

After saying this, he lowered his eyes and said nothing

"Yeah." Jin Huainian glanced at him coldly and made a clear concession: "Okay, I promise you."

Han Siti was startled by his sudden change.

Her momentum weakened in an instant.

"Then thank you." Han Siti walked first, but someone grabbed her wrist.

"Are you still angry?" Jin Huainian bent down slightly to check her expression.

"I'm not angry." Han Siti's eyes dodged: "I have to work, don't bother me."

"Where do you have a job?" Jin Huainian glanced at the empty desk, grabbed her hand and didn't let go.

No matter how Han Siti struggled, it was useless.

The two couldn't pull each other apart and started to struggle.

Han Siti: "I said I'm not angry, what on earth are you going to do?"

She couldn't stand it any longer and started to shout louder, but luckily there wasn't anyone around.

I just lured Assistant Xu over here.
