Chapter 52 Something is wrong

Chapter 52 Something is wrong

"The food is in the kitchen and it's still hot," she said.

Han Siti was not very hungry, but she still ate a few bites to please her mother.

After eating, he ran to the room.

After working all day, I washed up, covered myself with the quilt and went to sleep.

———

Morning.

Han Siti was still asleep, with messy hair sticking to her cheeks, revealing half of her face.

Her mother pulled her out of the quilt and said that they were going to the breakfast shop across the community to buy steamed buns, because if they went too late they would be sold out.

Even though she was extremely dissatisfied, she still got up.

There was a long queue in front of the breakfast shop and I had to wait for a long time before I could buy something.

Han Siti was holding a piece of corn and chewing it as he walked.

"Isn't that the grandson of Grandma Chen next door?" Mom suddenly spoke.

When Han Siti raised her eyes, she saw a man waiting for the elevator a few meters away. He was tall and slender, casting a large shadow.

She said nothing and lowered her head instantly.

The man walked into the elevator.

"Hurry up, the elevator is about to close." Mom urged her.

Han Siti, who had deliberately slowed down her pace, was forced to speed up: "Why don't we wait for the next trip?"

"It's just a few steps away, why are you waiting for the next bus?" Mom pulled her over.

The elevator was still open, as if it was waiting for them on purpose.

Han Siti kept her head down as she entered the elevator.

The elevator door closed.

"Hello, Auntie." Jin Huainian glanced at Han Siti with a dark look in his eyes, and then greeted her mother.

"Good morning." Han's mother responded with a smile, then turned around and saw Han Siti who was still chewing corn. Her expression froze, and she patted her on the back calmly, signaling her to call for help.

Han Siti raised her head and met the man's deep eyes. She tried to make herself look more natural.

"Brother Huaian." After she said that, her eyes also moved away.

He nodded.

"Are you here to see your grandparents again?" Mom was chatting with him.

Jin Huainian: "Yeah."

Han Siti stood in the corner, hoping the elevator would arrive soon.

"Dandan didn't cause you any trouble at the company, did she?" said Mom.

Jin Huainian's face was calm: "No, she works very hard."

"That's good." Her mother looked at her with satisfaction.

Han Siti's mouth twitched, and he was finally able to say something nice.

Arrive at the third floor.

The elevator door opened.

Mom was walking in front, and Jin Huainian suddenly grabbed her wrist and pressed his body towards her, bringing with him a clear scent of cedar.

Han Siti didn't dare to scream as he pecked her lips hard.

After the kiss, the warmth between the lips is still there.

He reacted immediately and stepped on him.

I quickly ran back after my mother.

"Why are you in such a hurry? Change your shoes." Mom sighed and scolded her behind her.

Han Siti slapped his face and forced himself to calm down.

"Wash your hands and come over to eat." said my mother.

Han Siti came over slowly after washing her hands, and her mother poured her a glass of milk.

"Thank you, Mom." She said half-coquettishly.

My mother sat across from me and said, "The boss praised your good work. I'm not worried about your permanent position anymore."

"I've told you several times that I work very hard."

A smile appeared on my mother's face: "Well, keep up the good work."

Han Siti curled her lips: "I know."

After dinner, Han Siti either lay down or slept. Now that her mother was out, it was quite pleasant for her to stay at home alone.

The warm sunlight shines through the window and sweeps onto the coffee table, comfortable and long.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, disturbing the silence.

Han Siti came out of the room in slippers and went to open the door.

She could probably guess that it was Jin Huainian. Thinking of what had just happened, she felt a little angry and her face looked not so good.

"Why are you so..."

The door opened, bringing with it a gust of wind. Seeing Grandma Chen in front of him, the word "annoying" got stuck in his throat.

"Grandma Chen." She quickly changed her words.

Grandma Chen smiled and said, "Are you home alone?"

"Um."

"Let me borrow some of your soy sauce." Grandma Chen looked at her and said, "We forgot to buy some."

Han Siti nodded: "Wait a moment."

After saying that, he ran to the kitchen and found the bottle of soy sauce on the spice rack.

She took it and handed it to Grandma Chen.

Grandma Chen glanced behind her and said, "Your parents are not at home. Come sit with us for a while. I'm cooking. Let's eat together at noon."

Han Siti quickly waved her hand: "No need, Grandma Chen, I've already eaten."

"Don't be polite, let's go."

Grandma Chen thought she was embarrassed.

"Really, no need." She tried to struggle.

"It's been so long since you last visited my house. If you continue to be polite, I'll get angry." Grandma Chen always uses this trick.

Han Siti could only agree humbly.

As soon as I entered the door, I saw Jin Huainian and my grandfather sitting on the sofa in the living room, slowly brewing tea. The tea leaves curled and stretched in the cup, and a layer of warm mist rose in the cup.

"Dandan is here." Grandma Chen called into the living room.

Jin Huainian turned his head slightly and caught a glimpse of Han Siti's figure out of the corner of his eye.

"Huainian, you chat with Dandan, I'll go help your grandma." Grandpa also left at this time.

Han Siti walked over a little awkwardly, tucked her skirt in and sat on the sofa farthest from him.

"Why are you sitting so far away?" Jin Huainian raised his eyebrows, his eyes fell on her and then cast to the seat next to him: "Come here."

The meaning is obvious.

Han Siti frowned and spoke cautiously: "This is not Yijiangyue, your grandparents are here."

"If you do that, others will think there's something going on between us." Jin Huainian looked at her guilty expression and spoke.

Han Siti sat down very reluctantly.

There was still a distance of one meter between the two of them.

She stared at the TV the whole time, showing no desire to chat with him, and was clearly trying to avoid suspicion.

"What's wrong with you two? Did you have a fight?" Grandma Chen came out of the kitchen, holding a plate of glutinous rice cakes. "I see you guys haven't said anything for a long time."

"No, Grandma Chen, I'm watching TV." Han Siti explained in a low voice.

"Huai Nian, don't put on airs at home like you do at work. Look, even Dandan doesn't dare to talk to you."

Jin Huainian raised his eyebrows inadvertently with a faint smile on his face.

"Grandma Chen, really not. Brother Huai Nian is very gentle to us employees." Han Siti's tone became leisurely again. If you understand her words, you should be able to taste a hint of sarcasm.

Grandma Chen put the plate on the table and smiled, "You're probably the first person to say he's gentle."

Han Siti breathed a sigh of relief as she watched Grandma Chen return to the kitchen.

"What did I say? If they don't talk to me, they will feel something is wrong." Jin Huainian said slowly.

Han Siti raised her chin slightly, snorted, and ignored him.

Jin Huainian glanced at her, then reached out and pulled her over, and her body almost fell into his arms.

Han Siti was shocked: "Are you crazy? If we get caught later, I'll see how you explain it."

The man looked calm and didn't seem panicked at all.
