Inside the reception room, a man in his early thirties was sitting on the sofa, casually flipping through a magazine.
The man had a serious face and looked unsmiling. His skin was slightly dark, he was muscular, and his buzz cut made him look neat and tidy.
Cai Haonan could tell at a glance that this person was probably a soldier. Judging from the aura he exuded, his strength was above Cai Haonan's, at least a King-level ability user.
Upon seeing someone enter, the man continued reading his magazine, making no move to get up and greet them.
Cai Haonan was not angry at all; in fact, he felt a little pleased.
Judging from this person's behavior, his identity is almost certainly true!
People from large bases often carry a hint of arrogance; if someone were to be overly polite, he might seriously doubt their identity.
Cai Haonan walked up to the man, a smile on his face, and said warmly.
"Greetings, sir. I am Cai Haonan, the head of the Cai family. I apologize for keeping you waiting and hope you will forgive any shortcomings in our hospitality!"
The man glanced at him, put down the magazine in his hand, and slowly stood up.
"Hello, Patriarch Liu, I am Long Kaiyu from the Longping Base. Please forgive my intrusion!" the man said coldly.
"Oh, you're too kind. It's an honor for the Cai family to have you visit!"
Cai Haonan forced a smile and said some polite words.
Long Kaiyu gestured for Cai Haonan to sit down.
"In that case, I'll get straight to the point. I've heard that the Cai family is currently facing a crisis, and I've come here to help the Cai family head resolve it!"
Cai Haonan's expression brightened, and a hint of interest flashed in his eyes.
"That's great! With your words, the crisis facing the Cai family isn't a big problem anymore! However, that Ling Feng is still incredibly powerful!"
He finished speaking with a hint of worry on his face.
Long Kaiyu smiled faintly.
"Don't worry, Patriarch Cai, Ling Feng won't dare to come. Our base has already sent people to negotiate with him. If he knows what's good for him, we'll spare his life; otherwise, he won't live past tomorrow!"
Long Kaiyu said with a confident expression.
Cai Haonan was both surprised and delighted. He hadn't expected the Longping Base to act so quickly. Before he could even say anything, the matter was resolved. As expected of a major base, a few words were all it took to resolve his life-or-death crisis.
"Thank you very much, Commander Long. I just wonder what conditions your base has for helping the Cai family solve such a big problem?"
Cai Haonan asked tentatively.
"As expected of the Cai family head, I love dealing with intelligent people!"
Long Kaiyu's lips curled slightly as he continued.
"I am here on behalf of the base. Our conditions are very simple: the Cai family will join the Longping base, and Jinling will become the territory of the Longping base. The Liu family head will become the base's manager in Jinling!"
"What does Patriarch Cai think?"
After speaking, Long Kaiyu looked sharply at Cai Haonan.
Cai Haonan felt a chill run down his spine under Long Kaiyu's gaze. As the ruler of Jinling, he was definitely unwilling to accept this condition.
