Chapter 1 Dreaming

"Oh"

Waking up from her sleep again, Jiang Mengxue took a deep breath of fresh air.

I've been having this dream for several days in a row.

Dreaming that I was in another world.

The surrounding houses and people on the street are dressed the same as they did on TV in the 1960s and 1970s.

It would be okay if it happened once or twice, but after having this dream for so many days in a row, it’s no wonder that Jiang Mengxue would be worried.

Jiang Mengxue, who is a fan of novels herself, immediately thought of things like time travel and rebirth in a book.

He touched the bracelet on his hand, and a glass of warm water appeared out of thin air in his hand. He drank the whole glass in a few gulps.

This space of Jiang Mengxue is the bracelet left to her by her grandmother when she passed away when she was five years old.

When she was very young, she was learning to cook at home. She cut her finger while cutting vegetables. When she hurried into the house to look for a Band-Aid, blood dripped onto the bracelet in the drawer. Only then did she discover the secret of the bracelet.

It was empty inside, like a warehouse, but it didn't look big, only about twenty meters long and wide, and about ten meters high.

I was too young at that time and was a little scared of the sudden appearance of space, so I told my grandfather about it secretly.

Grandpa Jiang never thought that the bracelet his wife had worn for a lifetime contained such a big secret without him discovering it.

After Jiang Mengxue and her grandfather experimented for a period of time, they had a rough idea of what this space was like.

The space is in a constant temperature state, and whatever you put in will be the same when you take it out.

My grandfather told me about this matter, and he didn't even tell my parents.

Some things have accumulated in the space over the years since I was a child.

Every time I go to the supermarket, I buy some extra daily necessities and keep them in my storage space for future use.

So now there is no shortage of food, clothing or anything else in this space.

So even though I stayed at home for a month or two during the Chinese New Year due to the epidemic, only a small part of the space was consumed.

The most common things in the space are the poultry, meat, eggs, and vegetables and grains raised by my grandfather. Anything that cannot be sold or eaten is put into the space.

A lot has been saved over the past ten years, and now there is at least enough in the space to feed Jiang Mengxue for a long time.

After piling things up all the time, I realized that space is infinite in size. As more things are put in, the space will extend outward. Until now, the space has never been filled up.

The important thing is that you can put living things in it. When you put them in, they will become still, and when you take them out they will still be alive and kicking.

Although there is no land for breeding and planting, it is good enough to be able to plant living things, and collect some seeds and cubs.

If something like space can exist, then anything is possible.

Time travel, rebirth, and the end of the world generally occur in such situations.

This was the first time Jiang Mengxue had a premonition that something big was going to happen after so many years in the space, so she had to prepare in advance.

After making up my mind, I didn't think about it anymore and took action when the sun rose.

Jiang Mengxue was ready to start buying things next, including food, clothing and daily necessities. Not to mention things that would last a lifetime, but at least twenty or thirty years.

What if I were to travel back to the 1960s and 1970s when materials were scarce? How would I, as someone used to modern life, survive?

Fortunately, Jiang Mengxue is not short of money. Her parents are typical workaholics. When Jiang Mengxue was a child, they dropped her off at her grandfather's house and went out to work.

Except for the Chinese New Year and other festivals, he only brought back money on other days. The passbook that grandpa left for Jiang Mengxue alone was worth several million.

All of this money was given by Jiang Mengxue's parents over the years. They are not short of money. When they don't have time to come back, they try to give more money to the elderly and children. They don't want to deprive them of their lives anymore.

Jiang Mengxue's parents opened several large supermarkets in the city. They were very busy and rarely came home throughout the year.

When Jiang Mengxue was a freshman in college, the two of them were driving home at night when they were hit directly into the river by a large truck coming from the opposite lane whose driver was fatigued.

The driver was driving while fatigued and was so scared that he drove away.

By the time rescuers pulled the car out, the two men had already died.

Helplessly, Jiang Mengxue, who had just reached adulthood, was forced to take over her parents' inheritance.

But with the supermarket management staff present, no problems occurred in the supermarket.

The accident that happened to her parents was a huge blow to her grandfather. He held on for two or three years, but now he has passed away. So Jiang Mengxue doesn't have any worries.

Jiang Mengxue's grandfather is an old Chinese medicine doctor in the countryside, so Jiang Mengxue also studied medicine in college. She is currently doing an internship and plans to get her diploma and go home to manage a supermarket.

When I was in school, I focused more on Traditional Chinese Medicine. I had learned a lot from my grandfather since I was a child, and it was easier for me to learn.

No wonder I heard people say before that unless you have been exposed to it since childhood, you should not study Chinese medicine. All the classmates I met in the library confirmed this.

The next morning, Jiang Mengxue got up before seven o'clock.

Take out a notebook from the space and prepare to record what to do next.

The first thing to do is to sell the house and transfer the shop. As for the supermarket, I have to keep it for a while and clear out the things inside before transferring it.

Although I was worried that nothing would happen, I thought that since I had the space, there was nothing to worry about. At worst, I could just open a grocery store and sell the things there.

Sell goods while purchasing, and always keep the space full, which also saves the middleman from making a profit from the price difference.

As for now, you can make use of supermarket purchasing channels and warehouses, and the purchase price in supermarkets is cheaper than wholesale outside.

It is also more reassuring to use a warehouse that you are familiar with. If you rent one outside, you will always worry about being seen. But if you deliver it to the supermarket, you don’t have to worry about anything once the cameras are turned off.
