Chapter 115 Heartless Love (Part 10)
The base of the wing that Jiang Gu had previously cut off has now grown a layer of fine down.
Jiang Gu applied the medicine to him, then paused, his gaze lingering on the layers of new and old scars around him. It wasn't hard to imagine that the wings had grown and then been cut off.
He had previously cut off Wei Feng's deformed wings without hesitation.
But Jiang Gu did not regret it. Those wings were already twisted beyond recognition, and carrying them would only be a burden, as would the scars on Wei Feng's body.
The thin blade sliced open the old scars, and blood mixed with sweat dripped onto the land of the Spirit Realm. Wei Feng probably guessed his intention and did not resist. He just sat there and watched Jiang Gu intently. Occasionally, when he was in great pain, he would impatiently slap his tail or show his fangs as if he wanted to bite Jiang Gu.
"You...dislike me...for being ugly." The healed scars were ripped open, the dense scars were all torn open, the pain was not much better than being skinned alive, Wei Feng was sweating profusely from the pain, but his mouth refused to stop.
“You handled it too roughly. The flesh and blood weren’t properly repaired, and the meridians are all broken.” Jiang Gu’s hands continued their work, using the back of his hand to push away the head that was trying to bite him. “At that time, the flow of spiritual energy will be blocked, which will be of no benefit to cultivation.”
“My… Yuan Dan is gone.” Wei Feng said slowly, “My heart… is gone too.”
Jiang Gu paused in applying the medicine to him, then said, "Hmm."
Wei Feng's ghostly markings climbed onto his neck, slipped into his clothes, and wrapped around Jiang Gu's waist, greedily absorbing his aura.
Jiang Gu's face darkened. "Get out."
“Ghost Mark… cut it open with the flesh still attached, and it won’t be long… before it dies.” Wei Feng said in a hoarse voice, “If you don’t like it… then kill it.”
Jiang Gu expressionlessly shook off the ghostly pattern and threw it far away.
Wei Feng's drooping mermaid tail swayed almost imperceptibly, and the ghostly pattern that had been thrown far away relentlessly swam back and wrapped around Jiang Gu's waist. This time it didn't crawl into his clothes again, so Jiang Gu simply ignored it.
Even so, it took a lot of effort to treat Wei Feng's wounds.
"Change the medicine every three hours." Jiang Gu wiped the blood from his hands. "You can do the rest yourself."
Wei Feng flicked his tail in annoyance. "Change it for me."
Jiang Gu said expressionlessly, "I'm busy."
He turned to leave, but Wei Feng pounced on him like a small mountain. Just as his newly bandaged wound was about to reopen, Jiang Gu raised his hand and used his strength to push Wei Feng back down.
He has magical artifacts and formations, which could completely trap Wei Feng inside, but Wei Feng is deeply traumatized by the idea of being imprisoned. Last time, he struggled like a madman just by using the Fire Rope.
Judging from Wei Feng's posture, it seemed he would chase after him if he didn't come.
"Stay put." He frowned. "I'll be back in three hours."
Wei Feng immediately quieted down, rolled up all the medicine placed by the spring and stuffed it into Jiang Gu's arms, then went into the water to sleep.
"..." Jiang Gu left with a dark face.
After Jiang Gu left, the calm spring water gurgled and bubbled, accompanied by the splashing sound of water. The huge creature in the spring disappeared, replaced by the broad back of a young man.
His slender arms were damp with moisture. His well-defined fingers reached into the writhing ghostly patterns beside him and pulled out a blood-stained garment. Then he bent down and buried his face in the fabric of his palm, greedily and obsessively absorbing the scent from it.
Water droplets slid down his pale chin, dripping onto the water's surface and creating ripples.
“Master…” Whispers lingered between his lips, his desire as intense as the scorching sun burning sand. He kissed her tenderly, letting his moist saliva blend with the dried blood, a gesture both devout and absurd.
Rippling water, breathing became more rapid, a sticky scent spread everywhere, and clothes stained with a subtle fragrance became damp and wrinkled. After an unknown amount of time, amidst lingering and ambiguous calls of "Master," accompanied by a satisfied sigh, everything turned into damp, misty vapor and disappeared into the bottom of the spring.
Three hours passed in the blink of an eye.
As soon as Jiang Gu approached the spring, he was enveloped in a damp mist that soaked through his thin clothes, covering his body like an invisible hand, as if he were being coated with something.
The damp and sticky sensation made him frown slightly.
Just as he was about to cast a spell to cleanse himself, several ghostly patterns climbed up his shoulders with practiced ease, and Wei Feng's hoarse voice echoed behind him: "Jiang Gu, you're too late... half an hour."
Jiang Gu tossed aside the few mischievous ghostly markings and turned around to see the monster whose clothes were torn to shreds. It was staring down at Jiang Gu, baring its teeth in a show of defiance.
"I thought... you weren't coming." Wei Feng's tone was sinister, his body covered in blood, a shocking sight.
He seemed to be saying, "If you dare not come, I'll torture myself to death."
Jiang Gu gave him a cold look, then patiently treated and changed his dressing again. "Can you turn back into a human?"
“No… change.” Wei Feng twisted himself into a pretzel, pulling Jiang Gu into his arms to bandage the wound on his neck. His voice, transmitted through the trembling bones, reached Jiang Gu’s ears, “If you change, you will be… bullied.”
Jiang Gu paused almost imperceptibly in the way he tied the knot.
“But I… didn’t let… anyone else touch me.” Wei Feng’s hoarse voice was filled with disgust. “If I become human… they will… treat me as a morsel of flesh… turn me into a monster, they will think I’m… disgusting, dirty, and they will be afraid… they will only treat me as an animal… to extract materials from.”
Jiang Gu wrapped his neck with a cloth and lowered his eyes to place a small magic circle.
Wei Feng tilted his head uncomfortably, hissed his long, forked tongue twice, and said in a serious tone, "Illusions... I haven't touched them either."
Jiang Gu disliked being touched by others, so whether he was being tortured or teetering on the brink of collapse in a dreamlike state, he never let anyone touch him, nor did he ever come into contact with anything else. With the ghost mark on him, those people in the Tower of Life and Death could not get close to him at all.
He was afraid that if someone else touched him, Jiang Gu would reject him again when they met.
"Hmm." Jiang Gu lowered his eyes, responded coldly, and continued to bandage his arm.
It's as if they don't care about these things at all.
Wei Feng, unable to wait for what he wanted to hear, flicked his tail in frustration, sniffed Jiang Gu's neck hard, and even licked it when Jiang Gu wasn't looking, but he wasn't deterred by Jiang Gu's cold gaze. "And what about you?"
"What?" Jiang Gu looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"While I was away...did anyone...kiss you?" Wei Feng stared straight at him, his words blunt and explicit. "Did anyone enter your dreams or...communicate with you spiritually? Did anyone...touch you?"
Jiang Gu's expression went blank for a moment, then his face darkened. "This is not something you should be concerned about."
From any perspective, this should not be a topic of discussion between a master and his disciple.
Wei Feng, however, was exceptionally stubborn. He tightened his embrace and persistently asked, "Anyone like me... sticking out their tongue—"
Jiang Gu neatly wrapped the strip of cloth around his mouth, her tone icy, "I think you're tired of living."
Wei Feng easily bit through the strips of cloth, his fangs eager to bite his neck.
Taking advantage of the situation, Jiang Gu poured several bottles of medicine down his throat. Wei Feng coughed from the bitterness, and the force on his tail loosened. Jiang Gu instantly transformed into a streak of light and disappeared from the spot.
The monster, which was coughing so loudly it was shaking the heavens and earth, suddenly stopped. It slapped its tail twice with little interest, then lowered its head to sniff the lingering scent of Jiang Gu on its body before diving back into the spiritual spring to soak.
We have to wait another three hours.
Why does it have to be three hours?
Can't half an hour work?
——
Jiang Gu emerged from the spiritual realm and returned to Heguan City.
Jiang Xiangyun and Yao Li were already waiting for him.
“The rest of them haven’t returned yet.” Jiang Xiangyun gestured for Jiang Gu to sit down. “I just received a message from Xiao Qingyan. He told us to wait in Heguan City. In a few days, disciples from Qiankun Tower will bring people to join us.”
"Is the message reliable?" Jiang Gu asked.
Jiang Xiangyun nodded, "It's a special talisman used when Ganlou and the Jiang family exchanged messages. By the way, Xiao Qingyan specifically asked about your situation."
Jiang Gu's eyebrows twitched slightly, but he suddenly felt a sticky chill on his back.
"Seventh Brother, although I haven't figured out Xiao Qingyan's background yet, this person is very likely to be someone of great importance." Jiang Xiangyun said with a teasing smile, "It's definitely a good idea to build a good relationship with him."
Jiang Gu asked, "Shall we become Daoist partners?"
"Pfft—" Jiang Xiangyun, who was drinking tea, suddenly spat it out.
Yao Li lowered his straw hat and said coldly, "Since ancient times, Wangyue and Pingze have never been linked by marriage. Seventh Young Master, you should stop daydreaming."
Jiang Xiangyun chuckled dryly, "That's right, Seventh Brother, you've misunderstood. Building good relationships doesn't necessarily mean becoming Daoist partners, haha."
Jiang Gu frowned.
If Xiao Qingyan is truly his love tribulation, then Wei Feng might just be able to save his life.
When Jiang Gu returned to his room, the dampness on his body became more and more obvious. He thought he had accidentally gotten something dirty on him, so he washed himself several times with hand seals and then began to meditate and regulate his breathing.
It felt like a sinister aura.
However, the sticky sensation on his back did not lessen but intensified, as if something moist and warm was licking him all the way, finally lingering on his left shoulder and getting close to his side of the neck.
Jiang Gu made a hand seal and grabbed suddenly, but only caught a damp mist. The mist spread out in his palm and then arrogantly spread out, enveloping his entire body.
In the vast white mist, it seemed as if two invisible hands were caressing and roaming his body without restraint. Neither spiritual power nor magic arrays or talismans had any effect. The warm, moist sensation lingered from behind his ears to his lips, and the mist seeped into his mouth and nose through the gaps, seemingly omnipresent.
Jiang Gu had a guess in his mind, and after calming down, he said coldly, "Wei Feng, that's enough."
The pervasive mist paused, then brazenly slipped into his robes, clinging intimately to his skin, displaying a utterly despicable attitude of refusing to admit it even if it were beaten to death.
"There's a medicinal smell in the mist," Jiang Gu said with a blank expression.
He had just finished applying the medicine to Wei Feng, and he knew the taste of the medicine all too well.
The damp white mist paused for a moment, then pinched his waist fiercely before vanishing without a trace.
Jiang Gu's clothes were torn and rumpled. He frowned and lifted them up to see that there were indeed red five-finger marks on his side.
What an idiot.
