Chapter 58 Youthful Spring Robes (Part 4)
When Wei Feng woke up, it was already dark.
A cool breeze blew across the back hill, and withered yellow leaves swirled down, landing on his nose. He sneezmed, rubbed his nose, and opened his eyes.
He was still a little dazed when he woke up. He sat up and stared blankly at the fallen leaves all over the ground in front of him. He yawned with his eyes drooping and revealed a small canine tooth on the left side of his mouth.
Immediately afterward, a faint fragrance wafted into his nose, and Wei Feng jumped up with a start, only to see Zhou Huaiming meditating.
Jiang Gu was already used to his jumpy manner, and lifted his eyelids to look at him, "Awake?"
Wei Feng cautiously took half a step back and silently watched him.
Jiang Gu finally realized something was wrong. This little brat hadn't uttered a sound since he saw him, even though he was lively and noisy when he entered the mountain gate. He wondered if there was something wrong with his throat.
Thinking this, he used his spiritual power to pull the person over. Wei Feng had no chance to resist and fell in front of him in a disheveled manner. Then Jiang Gu grabbed him by the back of the neck like he was grabbing an animal, and used his other hand to hold his jaw, forcing him to open his mouth.
Perhaps because he thought it was dirty, he first covered his hands with a thin layer of spiritual energy before putting it down his throat.
Wei Feng was forced to open his mouth and his tongue was pressed down. Soon, his eyes flashed with ferocity as he tried to bite down, but Jiang Gu glanced at him indifferently and said, "If you dare to bite, I'll pull out all your teeth."
Wei Feng froze, glaring at him fiercely.
He couldn't quite remember what happened before he was choked unconscious. He only felt that all his emotions had reached their peak. When he woke up, all he felt was exhaustion and fatigue. The terrifying hatred he had felt before was no longer so intense. He felt like he had returned to normal. Now, with this pervert holding his neck, he felt angry and aggrieved, but he still didn't dare to move. He just whimpered in discomfort.
"My throat isn't hurt." Jiang Gu took out his hand and dispelled the layer of spiritual energy on it.
Wei Feng struggled to get up, then covered his neck and began to gag.
Jiang Gu washed his hands again with his spiritual power, and said with displeasure, "Why aren't you saying anything?"
"Mind your own business!" Seeing that he was about to suffer more if he didn't speak up, Wei Feng, lacking self-control, glared at him angrily, "Can't I just not talk?!"
When Jiang Gu parted ways with Zhou Huaiming last time, this guy gave him a bottle of pills. Jiang Gu thought it was a sign of submission and goodwill, so he didn't throw it away.
The result was still just as fierce.
His gaze turned slightly cold. "How have you considered what happened last time?"
"What is it?" Wei Feng asked fiercely.
Jiang Gu smirked, "Give up the artifact from recognizing its master."
He had released the person in a hurry because he was about to undergo tribulation in the Xiyuan Secret Realm. He had no interest in sharing a divine artifact with a little trash. Good things should naturally be kept in his own hands.
An inexplicable anger welled up in Wei Feng's heart, perhaps along with a sense of grievance he dared not admit, for he had just sworn that "there's no need to mention it again"...
Isn't he more important than a broken artifact?!
Jiang Gu clearly did not think so.
With a flick of his wrist, a dagger appeared in his palm. Most divine artifacts recognize their masters by their physical body and primordial spirit. The black jade bracelet recognizes Wei Feng's body and primordial spirit. As long as the artifact thinks that Wei Feng's body is dead, it will automatically fall off. The best way is to peel off the meridians and remove the bones. As for Wei Feng not dying, he can be kept alive for a few days.
Jiang Gu took it for granted and grabbed his left wrist, pressing the dagger against it, drawing blood immediately.
"What are you doing?" Wei Feng asked, both surprised and angry.
"Slice flesh to refine blood, pull out tendons and break bones." With a thought, Jiang Gu used his spiritual power to bind the person tightly and said expressionlessly, "Since you are unwilling to give up recognizing the master, I will help you."
Wei Feng stared at him in astonishment, his face full of disbelief. "You...you're going to cut off my arm?"
"It might hurt more than a broken hand." Jiang Gu squeezed his fair wrist, and remembering that this was his disciple, he mercifully said, "If you're scared, I can knock you out first."
Wei Feng struggled desperately, his anger and fear causing the ghost mark on his neck to reappear, and his white pupils to appear and disappear. Jiang Gu impatiently held him down, saying, "Don't waste your energy. No matter what you are, you can't conjure anything if your dantian meridians are sealed."
Sealing someone's dantian and meridians is an extremely difficult task, but long ago, when Wei Feng was completely unprepared, he used the pretext of teaching cultivation to enter his sea of consciousness and imprint his mark on his primordial spirit. Now, Jiang Gu entering Wei Feng's sea of consciousness and dantian is no different from entering his own sea of consciousness.
No matter how capable he is, he can't make any waves.
Wei Feng was easily suppressed by him, unable to sense even a trace of spiritual power. He was afraid and terrified, and also resentful and angry, but more than anything, he was overwhelmed by shock and grievance. Even though Zhou Huaiming had done much worse things to him before, he had never felt so...sad as he did now.
He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest, as if someone had ripped his heart out, thrown it on the ground, and trampled on it, then complained that his heart was ugly.
He wanted to appear tougher and more ruthless, just like his master had taught him.
But the thought of Jiang Gu amplified his sadness hundreds of times, overwhelming him completely.
Seeing that he remained silent, Jiang Gu was too lazy to waste words with him and swiftly brought down his knife.
However, the dagger stopped abruptly just before it touched his wrist.
He used tremendous force; even when he stopped, the blade's energy still cut through the skin, and blood slowly seeped out from the wound. A hot tear fell onto the back of Jiang Gu's hand.
The dagger in Jiang Gu's hand suddenly slipped and crashed heavily to the ground.
He frowned and reached out to cover his aching chest, but it was not the pain he was familiar with. Instead, it was a strange and unfamiliar pain. A surge of unfamiliar emotions swept through his body, making him feel a slight palpitation.
He loosened his grip on the knife the first time he was about to strike, abruptly stopping.
Jiang Gu looked at Wei Feng with a dark expression, his killing intent instantly filling the air, and his voice unusually tinged with anger, "What did you do?"
Wei Feng was also stunned. His awe of Jiang Gu was ingrained in his bones. Whenever Jiang Gu got angry, his legs would go weak, and even his overwhelming sadness would stop. He was so scared that he shrank back like a little quail and stammered, "Wh-what what?"
Fear, terror, sadness, grievance... all these chaotic and overwhelming emotions combined were a completely unfamiliar burden to Jiang Gu. He couldn't discern their meaning, and only felt extremely irritable.
He seemed to have been infected by Wei Feng with emotions that were not his own.
This messy bunch is just as troublesome as its owner.
However, this was neither a spiritual attack nor a physical weapon, and Jiang Gu couldn't find a solution for the time being. For the first time in his life, he felt the taste of losing control of his emotions.
Jiang Gu released the spiritual power binding Wei Feng, his eyes so cold they could kill. "Get lost."
This was the first time Wei Feng had seen him so angry. He trembled slightly from the scolding, hesitated, took two steps forward, then turned back to look at him uncertainly. Had 'Zhou Huaiming' ultimately not harmed him? Was he showing mercy?
Then he met Jiang Gu's gloomy gaze, which seemed to want to tear him to pieces.
Wei Feng swallowed hard, but reason prevailed, and he scrambled out of the back mountain.
Only after Wei Feng disappeared from his sight did the chaotic emotions in Jiang Gu's heart slowly recede like the tide.
He looked down at the marks on the back of his hand caused by Wei Feng's tears.
...It's hot.
——
Wei Feng returned to Lianyun Peak and locked himself in his room.
He had excitedly moved all his favorite furniture and treasures to Qingping Peak. At that time, he was as happy as a fool, thinking that he could live happily with Jiang Gu in Qingping Peak for the rest of his life...
Wei Feng felt a lump in his throat just thinking about it. He shrank to the corner of the bed, hugged his knees, and wrapped himself up in the blanket, leaving only his head sticking out.
"What's going on?" Xuan Zhiyan peered through the crack in the window.
"I don't know." Xia Ling paced anxiously. "He came back and went straight in the door. He wouldn't say anything, just had red eyes. He must have been bullied badly."
However, Wei Feng has always been carefree since childhood. He forgets about any grievances or bullying he suffers as soon as he's done them. At most, he'll chatter on and on with Xuan Zhiyan and Xia Ling, or if he's really bad, he'll curse and try to get revenge. There's no one in the entire Yanghua Sect that he's afraid of. This kid is more than happy to have someone come looking for trouble every day so he'll have something to do...
This is the first time I've seen someone shut themselves up and remain silent like this.
Wei Feng locked the door, so the two of them couldn't get in and could only anxiously wait outside.
"He said he was going to see Elder Jiang before. Did he have a conflict with his master?" Xuan Zhiyan muttered to himself. "Who would dare to treat him so badly? He'd be completely deflated by now."
"Probably not. Young Master likes Elder Jiang so much, and they've never had any conflicts..." Xia Ling said, but then suddenly became uncertain. "But Elder Jiang is strict, so maybe he punished him. What should we do? Tomorrow is Young Master's birthday, his first birthday since becoming an apprentice. He's been looking forward to it for almost half a year."
"Sigh." Xuan Zhiyan pinched his brow, feeling a headache coming on, and knocked on the door. "Ancestor, what's wrong? Open the door, tell me what's wrong."
The room was completely silent.
"Young master, if anyone has upset you, we'll get revenge!" Xia Ling called out from the doorway. "Don't let yourself get sick from keeping this up. The kitchen made your favorite snacks. Would you like a bite?"
It remained quiet.
Xuan Zhiyan and Xia Ling tried to coax him for a long time but failed. Then Xuan Zhiyan received a message from Shen Yuxin and pulled Xia Ling aside. "Master is looking for me. I have to go back first. Keep an eye on him."
Xia Ling nodded, and Xuan Zhiyan hurriedly flew away on his sword. Xia Ling wandered around for a long time before taking some snacks to the kitchen.
Finally, there was no more noise outside the room.
Wei Feng drifted off to sleep, but the knocking on the door woke him up again.
"Leave me alone!" Wei Feng was woken up and, in a fit of temper, shouted angrily at the door.
Jiang Gu paused in his knocking, then spoke slowly and deliberately, "It's me."
Jiang Gu's voice came from outside the door. Wei Feng was startled and hesitated before asking, "...Master?"
His restrictions were no match for Jiang Gu. He pushed the door open and saw a boy huddled in the corner of the bed, wrapped in a blanket, crying with red and swollen eyes.
Wei Feng gritted her teeth, looking at him with a pitiful expression, but her tone was somewhat sharp, "What...what are you doing here?"
The night was deep, and the young man stood in the moonlight, dressed in white, with an elegant and outstanding appearance. Upon hearing this, he looked at him coldly and indifferently.
"Today is your birthday, I'll take you to Longyun City to watch the fireworks."
