Chapter 39 Let's join this family together
Akutagawa Ryunosuke arrived as promised.
The handsome idol leaned against the car window, poking his head out, looking into the distance in boredom. His fluffy black hair was blown wildly by the wind, and he had pinned his hair up with a thin clip in advance to avoid piercing his eyes.
When he saw someone coming, he waved from afar, smiling and saying, "Akutagawa-kun—"
Seems very happy.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke quickened his pace. Before he arrived, Dazai Osamu opened the car door and called out, "Come in!"
After getting in the car and closing the door, Akutagawa Ryunosuke felt a little uncomfortable when he met the other person's gaze.
"Is there something wrong with me?"
"No." Dazai Osamu said.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke: "Thank you for the medicine yesterday."
"How is your companion?"
"Much better."
In fact, even without him, Akutagawa Ryunosuke could have found the medicine box, it would just take a little more time.
Dazai Osamu: What an honest child.
The assistant drove to a villa, and Dazai Osamu took Akutagawa Ryunosuke out of the car and pointed to a window on the second floor, "From now on, you will live there."
Akutagawa Ryunosuke took two steps back, and before he could say no, he was interrupted by Dazai Osamu, "Have you ever considered becoming an idol?"
"Huh?! Ah?" Akutagawa Ryunosuke was confused.
Dazai Osamu walked lightly in front of Akutagawa Ryunosuke, "You know I'm an idol, right? As soon as I saw you, I felt that you had a talent for this."
Apparently, Akutagawa Ryunosuke wasn't that easy to fool. "Idols are not managers."
"Who says it can't be? People in the same industry are the best judges of talent."
“Is that so?”
"Of course." Dazai Osamu walked back, went around behind Akutagawa Ryunosuke, and pushed him in, "But now you need to work for me first to repay my favor."
"I know, but..."
Dazai Osamu took out a pair of ordinary black-framed glasses from somewhere and said, "Come on, put them on."
Akutagawa Ryunosuke was interrupted again and subconsciously put on his glasses obediently.
He didn't know what these glasses were for. He turned his head left and right. Something seemed to flash behind the sofa. Akutagawa Ryunosuke turned his head quickly and looked over there with a frown.
Dazai Osamu clapped his hands: "Hurry up, come out and show yourself."
The thing behind the sofa came out reluctantly, stamped its hooves hard, and quietly expressed its dissatisfaction.
That thing looked like a mutant horse. No, calling it a horse was an insult to horses. A group of curiosity lovers sat together eating hot pot and chatting for three hours but couldn't think of such a curious creature. There were pink spotted bows tied on its ears and tail, as if trying hard to cover up its ugliness, but it backfired and made it even more eye-catching.
So ugly.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke was startled and took a few steps back involuntarily, his face wrinkled subconsciously, and the fabric behind him was about to move. But this was someone else's house, so he tried hard to suppress this impulse.
Dazai Osamu stepped forward and asked mysteriously: "Do you know what this is?"
"W-what?" Akutagawa Ryunosuke's face was tense, but his tone was awkward.
"Holographic pet." Dazai Osamu solemnly took out an introduction manual to another world and handed it to Akutagawa Ryunosuke.
"You can only see it if you wear these glasses." Dazai Osamu pulled the stunned Akutagawa Ryunosuke to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. "The vegetables in here are all specially made. You can feed it to it. Remember to feed it every day. There is only one in the world. If it starves to death, it will die."
Akutagawa Ryunosuke nodded nervously: "Okay, I'll remember it."
The nearby amusement: ...
Oh my god, even the cursed spirits feel heartless when they see this.
What a fabricated story.
"Although it looks ugly, it has a gentle personality. You don't have to be afraid of it."
The cursed spirit was hit by an arrow.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke glanced at it, then quickly moved away and said honestly, "I'm not scared, I just feel a little disgusted."
The cursed spirit was hit by two arrows.
"Hiss, that's right. It's okay. You'll get used to it if you look at it more."
The cursed spirit is autistic.
You despise it, yet you still call it over.
Cursed Spirit Amusement originally stayed in Yuji Itadori's world, and at most entered the pet room of the system space. However, last year, the system and the world consciousness of several worlds persuaded each other and it was allowed to bring some special creatures to other worlds, but the danger would be weakened by the world barrier.
The original level of the amusement was already level one, but in this world it was downgraded to level two.
"Its full name is Youle, and its nicknames are No. 1 and Clown. You can call it whatever you want."
Dazai Osamu tapped his chin with his finger, "Well, let me think, you can just do these, there is nothing else to do. Without further ado, move in today!"
Akutagawa Ryunosuke, who was being led by the nose, finally came to his senses and said, "No, I can't abandon my sister."
Dazai crossed his arms, "I didn't ask you to leave anyone behind. Do I look that vicious?"
Akutagawa Ryunosuke quickly shook his head, "No."
Dazai Osamu continued, "You can take them over as well, so that we can have more dishes and chopsticks."
Akutagawa Ryunosuke was stunned for a long time, his lips opened and closed, "I still can't figure it out..."
"You don't need to figure it out." Dazai Osamu frowned, trying to add ice to his voice, "I'm stronger than you, you can't beat me, so you have to listen to me."
"If I say yes, it's true. Don't ask so many questions. You just need to know one thing. I won't hurt you or your companions, and you can be useful to me."
After hearing the last sentence, Akutagawa Ryunosuke finally nodded, "I will go back and talk to them."
"Okay, I'll go to Leibo Street with you later."
Dazai Osamu felt that Akutagawa Ryunosuke was really difficult to deal with, and he was ready to beat him up until he surrendered.
To put it bluntly, Akutagawa Ryunosuke is a stubborn person. When he is hurt or slandered, he fights back without thinking about how the hurt and slander came about. His thinking is a one-way street, and the law of the jungle is a theory he absolutely believes in. Most people and things are just stones on the road to him. He occasionally observes those stones from the perspective of a bystander, as if he is detached from the world, or immersed in his own world, and sometimes he seems to be arrogant.
Once an idea is made up, it will never change. No matter what others say a hundred times or a thousand times, it is useless. It cannot be controlled, tamed, or interfered with. When it is in a good state, it is very good, but when it is in a bad state, it makes people so angry that they want to beat it up.
Dazai Osamu originally thought that this time would be difficult, but he didn't expect Akutagawa Ryunosuke to agree so quickly.
It went so smoothly that he found it unbelievable.
"Good boy, you are so obedient." Dazai Osamu rubbed Ryunosuke's fur.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke froze.
As soon as he entered Leibo Street, he was met with vague gazes. Dazai Osamu's clothes didn't look cheap, and he looked like a young master with a fair complexion. If he had come alone, he would have been robbed by a crowd of people.
The assistant also followed them, and the gun in his hand served as a good deterrent.
When they arrived, Dazai Osamu and his assistant were waiting outside, and soon Akutagawa Ryunosuke came out. Behind him, Kiku was supporting the still weak Akutagawa Gin, holding a pile of books.
They didn't have anything valuable, and the only things worth taking were the books that Ryunosuke Akutagawa liked.
The assistant stepped forward and took the book from Ang's hand. Dazai Osamu said at the right time: "I am Dazai Osamu. Akutagawa should have made it clear to you, right?"
Akutagawa Gin: "I listen to my brother."
Kiku and Ang were still a little nervous: "We all listen to Ryunosuke."
"Okay, let's go."
It is not difficult to get out of Leibo Street, much simpler than Meteor Street that Dazai Osamu visited, but life after getting out is difficult.
The first and most important point is that the people in Leibo Street are all illegal immigrants, and they can hardly find jobs that can support their lives. Sometimes they even live in slums that are worse than the slums, and maybe they can get by with some mafia.
In addition, outsiders have prejudices against people who come out of Leibo Street, believing that they are either thieves or violent people. If they go out, they will be questioned by the police and refused service by shops, which has aggravated the residents of Leibo Street to reject the outside world. This psychological defense mechanism is more difficult to remove than the physical wall.
They just followed Dazai Osamu out like this, and we can only say that Akutagawa Ryunosuke is still very capable.
"I live on the third floor. You can choose any room on the first or second floor." Dazai Osamu said to the children who were still a little embarrassed.
Several people didn't know what to do and looked at Akutagawa Ryunosuke.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke pursed his lips.
Dazai Osamu waved his hand and said, "Forget it, forget it. Come with me and I'll show you around the new environment."
The basic quilt covers, pillowcases, toothbrushes and towels are all prepared, but since I don't know the body shapes of the people, I haven't prepared clothes yet.
After choosing the room, several people felt a little dizzy. It was the first time they knew the feeling of having a pie fall from the sky and fall into their arms. It was like a dream.
Ang pinched himself secretly and grimaced in pain.
Good, I'm not dreaming.
After the joy, there is endless worry.
They all knew that they could live in such a nice house because of Ryunosuke. Ryunosuke could just bring his sister with him and not have to worry about them. Bringing along two more burdens would mean he would have to pay twice as much favor.
Yin tugged at his brother's sleeve.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke placed his hand over his sister's, "It's okay."
Dazai Osamu looked at the four skinny kids and pressed his temples, "You guys..."
The four children looked at him.
Dazai Osamu paused for a moment, "Well, forget it, the assistant will measure your sizes and bring the clothes over later. You can take a shower today and rest first. I will take you to the hospital tomorrow for a checkup."
"This isn't for you. Ryunosuke knows I'm a public figure. If someone were to take a photo of me with a few miserable-looking children around me, rumors of my child abuse would spread everywhere. It would affect my reputation."
Several children nodded like chicks eating rice.
Just looking at Akutagawa Ryunosuke, he is actually two years younger than Dazai Osamu, but due to malnutrition and cough, he looks like a ten-year-old child, not to mention the others who were younger to begin with. Akutagawa Gin's illness was not completely cured.
After they got familiar with the environment, Dazai Osamu took them to the living room to measure the size. The first three went smoothly, but when it was Ryunosuke Akutagawa's turn, Dazai Osamu needed to suppress him to prevent Ryunosuke Akutagawa from stabbing the poor assistant through out of reflex.
Before the assistant went to buy clothes, Dazai Osamu patted him on the shoulder and said, "This month's salary will be tripled, the year-end bonus will be doubled, and the New Year holiday will be extended by half a month."
The assistant, who was a little tired at first, suddenly became energetic, "Yes! Mr. Dazai!"
He is willing to work for Mr. Dazai for another hundred years!
Long live Mr. Dazai!!
