Chapter 25 How about giving me this lantern?

After teaching Jiang Xue a lesson, Xu Tianze was in a very good mood. He moved among the crowd, looking at the festive atmosphere on the street, and couldn't help but feel excited.

Pairs of young boys and girls are gathered around the lantern stall, some are in love, and some are interested, guessing lantern riddles.

"I miss you so much and I remember you so much, what's the next sentence?" The old man holding a lotus lantern asked the people in front of the stall with a smile.

His question made the young men around him burst into laughter, and the young ladies also covered their blushing faces with handkerchiefs.

"Longing and remembering, short longing is endless." Xu Tianze interrupted with a smile, "Old man, how about giving me this lantern?"

When the old man saw Xu Tianze, he nodded with a smile and handed the lantern to Xu Tianze.

But he withdrew his hand and clenched it slightly in his sleeve.

Xu Tianze smiled, turned around, took the lantern, and happily continued shopping with the crowd.

The people behind him did not see the meaningful look that flashed in Xu Tianze's eyes.

Xu Tianze passed by the bridge where Long Musi had stopped before, quietly looking at the lanterns floating in the river and the young men and women by the river.

Whenever someone released a river lantern and someone else fished it out, there would be a hint of shy humming and teasing laughter on both sides of the river.

Song Yu, you really make people laugh. I'm sure a lot of these lotus lanterns with dandelion patterns are given away every year.

It's just an ordinary line of poetry that can be found by flipping through a book, but it has become your means of finding someone.

"I'll wait here. I want to see whether you are going to cover up the scandal for your wife or come to see me, an old friend." Xu Tianze muttered to himself, and then chuckled as if he remembered something.

Xu Tianze looked up and saw the sky full of Kongming lanterns. They were flying so far away that he couldn't tell whether they were stars or lights.

"Young Master, His Highness has returned home." Ma Zheng walked silently from a distance, deliberately turning away his somewhat unnatural gaze.

"So fast?" Xu Tianze was a little surprised. The crowd was still bustling and did not seem to be shrinking at all. How could the palace banquet end so quickly?

"I don't know. Your Highness just said that the young master has something to discuss with you when he returns home." Speaking of business, Ma Zheng looked serious.

Xu Tianze nodded, thinking that the palace banquet ended early, which must be because something interesting happened, so he simply gave up the intention to bother Song Yu.

Anyway, there is still a long way to go, and Jiang Xue’s behavior today alone is enough to make Song Yu extremely anxious.

On this side, Xu Tianze followed Ma Zheng down the bridge, and on the other side, Song Yu hurried over here in a hurry.

The leader was the owner of the lantern stall. When he saw Xu Tianze turn around and walk down the bridge, he couldn't help but feel a little anxious.

Now that the duck that was about to reach his mouth flew away, he was really about to cry. He set up a stall every year and waited for the time to come every year. Now he was about to get his wish.

Don’t let his efforts go in vain just because his master arrives a little late.

However, the owner of the lantern stall was obviously overthinking it. He was anxious, and Song Yu was even more anxious than him.

"Aze! Aze! Don't go!" Song Yu pushed away the old man who was leading the way in front of him and shouted loudly.

He was not mistaken, it was really Aze. He didn't expect that Aze had been wearing purple clothes recently, so he didn't recognize him at first glance.

But the back figure is so familiar. If it was wrong once, how could it be wrong twice?

The person he met in Hongxu City that day must have been Xu Tianze. He had missed him once, and he definitely didn't want to miss him a second time.

When Xu Tianze heard a familiar voice, he knew who was calling him without turning around. After all, it was someone he had known for many years.

He was also the person he had been thinking about day and night for the past three years, so how could he not recognize his voice?

However, he is not someone that anyone can see just because they want to. The real show has just begun.

Xu Tianze kept walking, as if he didn't hear it. He quietly quickened his pace and successfully blended into the crowd and left.

When Song Yu chased to the bridge, the person he had been thinking about day and night had already disappeared, and even his back did not stay for a moment.

Song Yu stood on the bridge in a daze, staring blankly at the endless stream of people. He had received the news as soon as Xu Tianze returned to the capital.

However, he was plotted against while going out, was entangled with mundane affairs, and was scolded by his father and punished to kneel in the ancestral hall, so he could only postpone meeting Xu Tianze.

As soon as he walked out of the palace gate after the palace banquet today, his people came to report Xu Tianze's whereabouts. He came over in a hurry, but only saw his back.

After the palace banquet, he returned home and was punished by his father to be confined again. He didn't know how long it would take before he could see Xu Tianze again.

He hasn't explained to Aze why he avoided Xu Tianze back then, nor has he told him how much he missed him over the years. How can he be willing to accept this?

"Let's go to the Third Prince's Mansion." Having made up his mind, Song Yu lifted up his skirt and strode towards the Third Prince's Mansion.

"Your Highness, you can't do this, Your Highness." The lantern shop owner complained repeatedly. What was going on? In the past three years, there had been many conflicts between the Duke of Zhenguo's Mansion and the Third Prince.

The old Duke had long ago instructed the servants to keep a close eye on the Crown Prince and not to cause any trouble with the Third Prince.

If his own son were to visit the Third Prince's residence, and the old Duke knew about it, if everything went well for him, he could retire with his life. If not, it would be the end of him.

"How dare a slave like you interfere in my affairs?" Song Yu glared at the lantern shop owner and snorted coldly.

Seeing that he couldn't stop his own son, the lantern shop owner had no choice but to shake his head and follow.

-------------------------------------

Song Yu and Xu Tianze arrived at the Third Prince's Mansion at the same time.

Before Xu Tianze and Long Musi had exchanged a few words, a servant came to report that the prince of Zhenguo was here to ask for a meeting.

Xu Tianze rolled his eyes. Song Yu really didn't know what happened to Jiang Xue, or did he not know that Jiang Xue had a night of love with four big men?

"Your Highness, please go and send him away. I don't want to see him." Xu Tianze went through all the nonsense in his mind and waved perfunctorily at Long Musi.

Long Musi shook his head in amusement, not knowing whether Xu Tianze was really too lazy to see him, or whether he was feeling guilty because he had cheated on Song Yu and Jiang Xue with each other, and didn't dare to see Song Yu at this moment.

"Go and take her to the front hall. I'll be there later." Long Musi instructed the servants and then replied to Xu Tianze, "Aze, go behind the screen and listen. This way, I won't have to repeat myself."

Xu Tianze nodded lazily, agreeing to the matter.

After Long Musi finished making the arrangements, he walked slowly towards the front hall, as if to leave Song Yu out in the cold in the village.

When he reached the door of the front hall, he took a few quick breaths and pretended to walk in hurriedly to greet Song Yu.

"We just met at the palace banquet. Why is Prince Song coming to my house again?" Long Musi laughed heartily as he walked into the house.

Although there was nothing wrong with the words on the screen, the more or less yin and yang connotations still made Song Yu's eyes look annoyed.
