"I am not a casual woman."
She didn't know why she said those words.
She simply felt uncomfortable if she didn't say this to Zhuang Wen.
I won't be able to sleep at night.
So she did.
But after she finished speaking, she felt full of regret.
Oh no, it's more like a heart full of shyness.
She dared not look at Zhuang Wen again.
So, after she finished speaking, she stepped on the gas, and the sports car sped off with a roar.
In just over ten seconds, Zhuang Wen couldn't even see her taillights anymore.
Zhuang Wen was taken aback when he heard her say that.
Then, as if she had thought of something, she suddenly chuckled and said, "Lu Linglong, eldest sister, you're quite interesting."
...
Zhuang Wen bathed in darkness and began his journey home.
He took out his phone and saw that it was already 12 o'clock.
"It's way too late to have a meal like this."
He sighed, but felt no disappointment; instead, he felt a faint excitement, though he couldn't pinpoint the source of it.
I took the elevator up to the thirteenth floor.
During this process, he sent a message to Lu Ruxue, saying that he had arrived home.
Lu Ruxue replied instantly: Okay.
He paused for a moment, then smiled. Quite a coincidence.
He had just stepped out of the elevator.
I was stunned for a moment.
He blinked hard and realized he wasn't seeing things.
What are you doing here?
He couldn't help but exclaim.
A petite, pretty figure in a white pleated skirt was huddled at his doorstep.
Her hair was disheveled and cascading down her back. Her figure was thin and frail, and she was hugging her legs tightly, like a homeless child, which made people feel sorry for her.
Hearing the sound, the girl slowly raised her head. When she saw Zhuang Wen appear, her eyes reddened, and she pouted, looking both coquettish and aggrieved, and said in a sweet voice, "Big brother, I'm hungry!"
...
In the living room.
The lights cast a warm, yellow glow.
Zhuang Wen leaned back on the sofa, quietly watching Yan Yan, who looked as if she hadn't eaten for days, vigorously shoveling noodles into her bowl.
On the table to the side, there was an empty bowl.
Why are you here?
Zhuang Wen picked up the tissues from the table and gently handed them to Yan Yan.
"Wipe your face, it's all splattered with soup."
Yan Yan had no time to pay attention, she was only focused on slurping the noodles in her bowl.
"Are my noodles really that delicious?"
Zhuang Wen couldn't help but smile, turned his head to stare at Yan Yan's delicate and fair cheeks, picked up a tissue, and gently wiped them.
Yan Yan paused, her face quickly turning red.
But she still didn't stop.
Five minutes later, Yan Yan finally put down her empty bowl and chopsticks and let out a satisfied burp.
"Hiccup~"
She leaned comfortably against the sofa, patting her little belly, looking incredibly relaxed and at ease.
This was in stark contrast to how she had initially cowered at the doorway.
"You haven't answered me yet."
Zhuang Wen asked curiously.
"I've been waiting for you all day! What have you been doing? Why are you so late?"
Yan Yan slightly opened her eyes, glanced at Zhuang Wen, and said lazily.
"You left without saying goodbye this morning, without even a word. Who knew you'd be coming over tonight?"
Zhuang Wen shook his head slightly and said with a wry smile, "You're out of luck tonight, I happen to have something to do."
Suddenly, he realized what was happening and hurriedly asked, "You almost fooled me! Tell me, why are you here again?"
Yan Yan opened her eyes, looked around, glanced at the clock on the wall, and said, "It's past 1 a.m., I should go to sleep. Where should I sleep?"
"ah?"
Some black lines appeared on Zhuang Wen's head.
But he stopped dwelling on it, because he learned from Tang Xin that sometimes women are just unreasonable.
"You're sleeping in the guest room. Come with me, I'll tidy up for you."
Zhuang Wen checked the time and realized it was too late to rush Yan Yan away, so he had no choice but to take her to the guest room.
He turned on the light, went into the room, and began to tidy up.
Yan Yan leaned leisurely against the door frame, her beautiful features and sweet smile in her eyes, quietly watching Zhuang Wen's back as he made her bed.
"You've been waiting outside my house all day?"
Zhuang Wen asked as he tidied up.
"It wasn't a day. After class, I was a bit bored, so I wandered around the area for a while. Around 5 p.m., I came here based on my memory from last night."
Yan Yan said lazily, "I was hoping to take advantage of you and have you treat me to dinner, but who knew you'd come home so late tonight. If I'd known..."
She stopped talking.
Zhuang Wen added with a smile, "You shouldn't have come, right?"
Yan Yan pursed her lips and didn't reply, but in her heart she thought: You're wrong about that, I have to come tonight no matter what...
Where do you go to school?
Zhuang Wen asked casually.
"I am a graduate student at Qingjiang University."
Yan Yan said.
"Oh, we're alumni! I'm an undergraduate and you're a graduate student. You're doing very well in your studies, keep up the good work."
Zhuang Wendao.
"You don't need to tell me, I will definitely study hard."
Yan Yan pouted and said, "Why does he feel like my parents?"
"You little rascal, you won't listen when I say something nice to you..."
Zhuang Wen said helplessly.
"I know you're doing this for my own good, just like my parents, oh dear..."
Yan Yan rolled her eyes and wrinkled her nose, looking quite adorable.
"I've packed everything up. Go to sleep early. I'll get up at 8 a.m. tomorrow to cook. Don't forget to get up for breakfast, or I won't let you sleep in here."
