Chapter 41: Pretty Huang Rong; I Won’t Pay

"Humph, are those dishes edible for humans? You take me for a fool."

"Hey! You little beggar, you think you're a high-ranking official, yet you're still complaining about this and that, and you have to pay for food."

There was a noisy sound coming from the distance. Looking through the dense weeds, Situ Xiu could vaguely see four people arguing. Looking closely, he saw three of them surrounding a tattered little beggar.

"Humph, I won't pay, what can you do about it?"

With a light snort, one could imagine that the boy looked very proud when he said this.

"Hey, why don't you ask who I am? Brothers, show her how powerful I am."

Three strong men rolled up their sleeves and walked towards the little beggar from three directions with a sneer on their faces. One of the big men threw a punch.

The little beggar's bright eyes flickered. He heard footsteps and glanced to the right, where he saw a young man walking towards the forest not far away.

When the big man was about to hit the little beggar with his punch, the little beggar leaned back, raised his foot to fight back, kicked the big man in the face, and somersaulted 360 degrees.

After landing, the little beggar hit the big man on the right in the chest with a palm, twisted his body and did a roundhouse kick, raising his foot to kick the big man on the left in the chest.

The whole process was done in one go. The little beggar stood still while the three big men fell to the ground, groaning faintly.

"Group leader, you are so mean. You saw me being bullied and didn't come to help me."

He was about fifteen or sixteen years old, with a pair of bright, big, black eyes that twinkled. He wore a black, tattered leather hat askew on his head. His face and hands were covered in soot, and his original appearance was no longer recognizable.

The little beggar was Huang Rong.

She looked at the young man watching nearby with dissatisfaction. Having practiced martial arts since childhood, her hearing was more sensitive than that of ordinary people, and she had already noticed someone approaching.

"You're quite smart for such a young age. You were able to see through me even though I was being so low-key."

Situ Xiu smiled indifferently and walked over. He was dressed like an ancient man.

"Group leader, you don't look even older than me."

Huang Rong opened her eyes wide and looked at Situ Xiu with her shining black pupils. Apart from his height, he looked no more than fourteen years old, but he looked like a teenager.

Oh my god, Huang Rong is so smart.

Situ Xiu's expression remained unchanged as he said, "Really? Thank you for the compliment. I'm very happy."

Huang Rong couldn't see anything wrong and asked, "Are all gods young?"

"What god? I'm just an ordinary person." Situ Xiu admitted generously.

"Forget it."

Huang Rong gave him a look that said "I understand" and changed the subject, "Group leader, where are you going to take me to play?"

"The Great Jin Kingdom, Kyoto." Situ Xiu put his hands behind his back and turned to leave.

"Tsk, you're still saying you're not a god, you're not from this world, and you only know about the Great Jin Kingdom."

Huang Rong complained in her heart and hurriedly followed.
