Being robbed at the beginning of Chapter 1?

"Steamed buns, freshly baked buns, with lots of filling and thin wrappers, two copper coins each."

"Tanghulu is sour and sweet. Don't miss it if you pass by."

"What beautiful balloons! Come and take a look."

Inside Beastmaster City, the sounds of hawkers intertwined, and the streets were packed with people. On this hot summer day, a strong, sour smell filled the air, causing the young man to frown. After finally squeezing through the crowd and arriving at his favorite bun shop, the young man twitched his nose fiercely, savoring the aroma of the meat buns. Before he could say anything, the shop owner, a simply dressed middle-aged man, conveniently picked up a meat bun and handed it to the young man, saying kindly, "Gu Yuan, you're having buns for lunch again today."

"Yeah. Hehe, Uncle Yang's buns are the best." The boy took the bun, ignoring the steaming sensation on it, took a big bite, and said contentedly.

"Alas, you are still young and in the period of growing up. You need to eat more nutritious food." Uncle Yang looked at the somewhat thin boy in front of him and said earnestly.

"Hey, look at what Uncle Yang said. Aren't Uncle Yang's buns nutritious? I was raised by your buns!" Gu Yuan said with a smile while eating.

"Haha, you speak in a way that pleases others." Uncle Yang smiled when he heard Gu Yuan's affirmation of his buns. He had been selling buns in the Beast Taming City for twenty years and had watched Gu Yuan grow up little by little.

"By the way... Uncle Yang, what's going on recently? Why are there suddenly so many unfamiliar faces in the city?" Gu Yuan asked incoherently while chewing the bun in his mouth and looking at the crowds on the street.

"Shh!"

Unexpectedly, Uncle Yang's face changed. He hurriedly pulled Gu Yuan, who was chewing a bun, to his side. He looked around and said cautiously, "Gu Yuan, I was just about to tell you to stay out of the house during this period, especially after dark. Remember?"

"Um?"

Seeing Uncle Yang’s nervous look, Gu Yuan’s heart moved. What happened?

"Uncle Yang, did something big happen?" Gu Yuan asked curiously.

"Well, actually I can't tell what the big deal is. Have you seen that man?" Uncle Yang leaned close to Gu Yuan's ear and glanced secretly at a young man in a white robe with an indifferent expression not far away.

"Yeah, I see."

"Can you see the token hanging around that person's waist?"

Gu Yuan squinted his eyes and vaguely saw a black cross-shaped token.

"Is that... the Fire Cloud Sect's Cross Order?"

Gu Yuan was shocked. Although he didn't know much about the Huoyun Sect, he still knew the symbol of the Cross Order.

"Yes, it is the Fire Cloud Sect."

Uncle Yang said with a serious expression, "A friend of my nephew's third aunt is a disciple of the Fire Cloud Sect. According to him, the Fire Cloud Sect came to our Beast Taming City for a big move."

"Big move?" Gu Yuan's eyes turned. The Beast Taming City was close to the Black Demon Mountains. Could it be that some peerless spiritual beast or relic had appeared?

"Yes, but what exactly they are doing is not something we can know. Gu Yuan, don't blame Uncle Yang for not reminding you. You have to stay away from these disciples of Huoyun Sect. After all, they are all real spiritual cultivators. If we provoke them, we will be in big trouble." Uncle Yang knew that Gu Yuan loved to watch the fun, so he reminded Gu Yuan.

"Spiritual cultivators." Gu Yuan muttered to himself. He knew what spiritual cultivators were; they referred to those who had truly entered the world of cultivation. It would be great if he could cultivate himself as well... He shook his head, discarding this unrealistic thought.

"Uncle Yang, I understand. Please bring me two more meat buns! As usual, I'll keep the account!"

"Okay!"

Holding two meat buns, he walked south along the street. Gu Yuan's residence was quite far from Uncle Yang's meat bun shop, tucked away in a corner in the south of the city. However, he ate lunch and dinner there almost every day. Firstly, the meat buns were delicious, and secondly, Gu Yuan was short of money, so he could only buy two extra buns every day to save for dinner.

After walking around many winding roads, a somewhat dilapidated wooden house finally appeared in front of us. Compared with the bustling north of the city where Uncle Yang lived, this place seemed a bit quiet.

Pushing the door open, Gu Yuan let out a sigh of relief. It turned out that only by returning here could he truly relax.

An old-fashioned couch, a worn wooden cabinet against the wall and a counter in front of it are all the furnishings of this wooden house.

"Alas, it's been sixteen years! How long will I be doing nothing?" Gu Yuan lay down on the reclining chair, listening to the summer cicadas singing outside, and long-forgotten memories emerged in his mind. This was a secret that no one knew in the past sixteen years.

There was a blue planet, a world of highly advanced technology. He was just a small-time real estate agent struggling to survive in that world. He didn't have the capital to wait for the rent to come in at the end of the month, nor did he have the luck to "sit in bed and have money come from the sky." All he had was the effort to survive.

Some people's life is just living, some people's life is just living.

But one day, a car accident changed the trajectory of his life. For him, it was a relief. But what he didn't expect was that he actually traveled through time!

He didn't have his grandfather by his side, nor did he have the memory of the invincible emperor. All he had was the loss of his mother at birth and his father at the age of twelve. Yet, he was barely surviving once again.

On this hottest day of the year, the wooden house was actually a little cool, which was also what Gu Yuan was quite satisfied with this summer.

Snoring gradually became louder. Gu Yuan leaned back on the recliner and fell into a deep sleep. He seemed to have had a strange dream in which there were strange noises.
