Chapter 110 Pu Weichao really likes Ke Jiamin?

The topic then returns to Yan Zhengfeng.

Yan Zhengfeng began to speak his mind.

"On the way from Linshan to here, I've thought a lot. I've been observing you all the way, and now I'm pretty sure that you're not the kind of person I thought you were."

Hearing this, I breathed a sigh of relief. As long as he understood, the misunderstanding between us would be gone.

The grudge between him and me was just his own wishful thinking.

"Whether it's Li Qiming or the fall of the safe zone, you've impressed me greatly. In the air-raid shelter, I thought you were the kind of person who wouldn't survive, but I was wrong. You survived, and you're very capable. This is just like my judgment of your character—I was completely wrong."

“I have no resentment towards you now. As for my wife and children, although I don’t know their situation, I understand that it’s not because of you. If you were really that kind of person, Li Qiming would probably be dead by now.”

I nodded: "It's good that you can figure it out."

Yan Zhengfeng shook his head. "I wouldn't say I've figured it out, I've just seen it clearly. I'm naturally rather dull, or rather, too rigid. I don't know how to think, and I'm not good at saying anything. I want to apologize to you for what happened before. Fortunately, you didn't die back then, otherwise I would definitely feel very guilty."

I raised an eyebrow. Since he had already said so much, there was no need for me to dwell on it any longer.

Let's stick to the facts.

I said, "Since you've apologized, I'll forgive you. Let's just let this matter drop, okay?"

Yan Zhengfeng lowered his head, nodded, and said, "Okay, as long as you're willing to forgive me, I have no problem with anything."

I could tell he was relieved.

This matter that had troubled us for so long is finally over, and I'm happy about it.

Yan Zhengfeng was indeed not very good at speaking, and after saying these words, he didn't know what to say next.

Besides, our relationship is a bit awkward right now, so I don't know what to say. For a moment, the dormitory was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Half a minute later, he couldn't stay any longer, got up from the bed, and said, "If there's nothing else, I'll be going now."

"Mm." I nodded.

However, as soon as he opened the door and reached the doorway, he stopped, turned around, and seemed to remember something.

He asked, "When we were at the hospital last time, besides shooting you, did I also kill someone else?"

I frowned, then nodded and said, "Yes."

He asked, "Do you know his name? In the end, it's all my fault."

I felt helpless. Thinking of Qian Cheng, I didn't know what to say. Putting aside his relationship with Zhang Zhihao, what good would it do to tell Yan Zhengfeng? The man was already dead.

"You really want to know?" I asked.

"Hmm, I really want to know."

"Alright, then I'll tell you, the person you killed was named Qian Cheng, and he was..."

Just as I was saying this, I saw Zhang Zhihao appear outside the door with a strange expression. Yan Zhengfeng was facing me at the moment, so he didn't notice Zhang Zhihao behind him.

"What's wrong?" Yan Zhengfeng asked.

Looking at Zhang Zhihao's face, I noticed that he looked very gloomy. Clearly, he had heard what I had just said!

But what a coincidence! He appeared right after I finished speaking. Could it be that he was waiting for me outside the door before?

Zhang Zhihao walked in from behind Yan Zhengfeng, his face grim, and asked me, "Brother Lu, could you please repeat what you just said?"

"I..." I didn't know how to explain for a moment.

Yan Zhengfeng stood at the door, puzzled.

"Brother Lu, you won't talk, huh?" Zhang Zhihao said angrily. "Fine, Brother Lu, I'll ask you, was Qian Cheng killed by him?"

As he spoke, he pointed his finger at Yan Zhengfeng.

Upon hearing this, Yan Zhengfeng immediately understood what was going on.

"Zhang Zhihao, listen to me..."

"Brother Lu! Tell me!" Zhang Zhihao roared at me, giving me no chance to speak.

I was incredibly frustrated. I should have known better than to tell Yan Zhengfeng. Who knew Zhang Zhihao was listening outside! I can't believe I've run into this kind of coincidence!

I closed my eyes and finally nodded helplessly, saying, "Yes."

Zhang Zhihao didn't speak or make a sound. Instead, he turned his head and stared at Yan Zhengfeng, who was standing at the door. His eyes were fixed on Yan Zhengfeng as if he wanted to kill him!

"I'll beat you to death, you bastard!"

Zhang Zhihao roared and rushed over, punching Yan Zhengfeng in the face.

Yan Zhengfeng did not retaliate, but let the punch land on his face, causing him to stagger and fall down in the corridor.

"Zhang Zhihao, don't do it!" I glared at him, fearing something bad would happen, and rushed out to grab Zhang Zhihao.

"Get out of my way!" Zhang Zhihao was stronger than I had imagined. With a flick of his wrist, he threw me into the dormitory, where I fell to the ground, landing on my knees, which hurt a lot.

Zhang Zhihao was practically straddling Yan Zhengfeng, and his fists landed squarely on Yan Zhengfeng's face. After taking two punches, Yan Zhengfeng instinctively raised his hands to defend himself.

Yan Zhengfeng was a soldier after all, and with his defense, Zhang Zhihao couldn't hit his face at all; his fists landed entirely on the other's arms.

"Why?! Why did you kill Qian Cheng?! He had no grudge against you!"

Zhang Zhihao shouted as he hit the target.

His voice was so loud that almost everyone in the dormitory heard it. When they came out to see what was happening in the corridor, they all ran over.

Fei Lichao was the fastest, arriving at my dorm room door first. He yanked the furious Zhang Zhihao aside, threw him down, and yelled at him, "What the hell are you doing?!"

"I'm going to kill this bastard!" Zhang Zhihao charged forward again, disregarding everything else.

Fei Lichao frowned, and with lightning speed, he threw a punch at Zhang Zhihao's waist.

Zhang Zhihao cried out in pain, bent over, clutched his waist, and did not get up again.

Pu Weichao ran over to help Zhang Zhihao and asked in surprise, "What happened? What's going on?"

"How the hell was I supposed to know what was going on? I came out and saw this kid beating someone up." Fei Lichao pulled Yan Zhengfeng up from the ground and asked him, "This kid hit you, why didn't you fight back?"

Yan Zhengfeng's face was bleeding from the corner of his eye. He shook his head, unsure how to explain the incident.

I came out of the dormitory, clutching my sore knee, and leaned against the door frame. I said to Fei Lichao, "Fei Lichao, Pu Weichao, you two lock up that kid Zhang Zhihao first, and have Li Qiming watch over him. I'll talk to you about this when you get back."

Hearing this, the two did not object and together they carried the constantly cursing Zhang Zhihao into Li Qiming's dormitory.

I was in a state of confusion. Everyone was looking at me, clearly not understanding what had happened.

Yan Zhengfeng said, "I'm sorry."

I shook my head and said, "Let's go inside."
