Pu Weichao's words are driving me crazy.
Will Zhou Liang tell Lu Ding about our situation?
That can't be right, can it? Based on the personality he showed me before, it's unlikely he would do something like this. But then again, maybe not. He's no relation to us, yet he got beaten up because of us and then held a grudge, telling Ludin everything that happened to us!
Thinking about it that way, it's not impossible.
Someone like Zhou Liang could easily destroy us.
If he truly hates Ludin and us, he probably will say it.
Pu Weichao asked me, "Where's Zhou Liang? Have you seen him?"
I shook my head and said, "I only saw him in the morning. He said he came to take care of me as usual, but I didn't see him come in the afternoon."
Pu Weichao slapped his forehead. "Am I stupid? Why am I asking you? I'm going to find him right now."
"Hey, wait a minute."
"Wait for what? We'll talk when I get back."
After Pu Weichao finished speaking, he opened the door and ran out.
I was truly helpless; I had originally intended to tell him about Zhou Liang's situation.
Zhou Liang said this morning that he would leave, but it's unclear whether he has left yet. If he has, based on Pu Weichao's calculations, things will be very serious.
If he really told Lu Ding everything about us, then he would definitely have guessed that Pu Weichao would have deduced this as well. If he really leaves now, it would probably confirm Pu Weichao's conjecture.
What the hell is going on?!
While Pu Weichao was looking for Zhou Liang, I found a notebook and listed the questions that were on my mind.
First of all, why didn't Ludin kill me?
Secondly, does Ludin already know the total number of members in our team?
Thirdly, did Zhou Liang share detailed information about our team with Lu Ding? Do Lu Ding and Zhou Liang have a collaborative relationship?
Fourth, who exactly is Zhou Liang?
I stared at these four questions, racking my brains but still couldn't figure them out.
Especially the fourth question: Who exactly is Zhou Liang? Did he really come to Jiajiang to find his parents, or does he have some other purpose?
Ten minutes later, Pu Weichao returned to my dormitory with a serious expression.
Seeing his expression, I knew Zhou Liang had already left.
"He's gone?" I asked.
Pu Weichao took a letter out of his pocket and said, "Yes, he's gone, but he left this behind."
He handed it to me, and I took the letter out of the envelope, unfolded it, and frowned.
"As you can see, I'm leaving, and I've taken some things with me. But don't feel wronged, it's what I deserve. I worked for you for half a month and was even beaten up for no reason, so these things are my reward. Don't even think about looking for me, because you definitely won't find me."
I looked up and asked Pu Weichao, "What did he take with him?"
Pu Weichao gave him a cold look and said, "Keep reading, I'll talk to you after you're done."
I continued watching.
"I thought about it and originally only intended to write the paragraph above, but to avoid any misunderstanding, I still want to clarify one point: I didn't tell Lu Ding about your information. I know Pu Weichao is definitely struggling with this, so I hope you can believe me. Also, I have to thank you all, because my purpose in coming to Jiajiang was not to find my parents, but to find an enemy. Now that I have found this enemy, I should go back and prepare."
"Secondly, there is no secondly. Goodbye, you idiots."
The letter ends here; it's short, but it contains a lot of information.
I put down the letter and looked at Pu Weichao.
Pu Weichao took a deep breath and answered my previous question: "He took a lot of things, basically all the firearms in the armory. I counted them, and he took about five assault rifles, one sniper rifle, and ten pistols. He also took a lot of bullets."
I exclaimed in surprise, "So many!"
Pu Weichao nodded, not dwelling on the matter, but instead asked, "Who exactly is this Zhou Liang? Why did he guess that I suspected him? Or did he really tell Lu Ding about our situation and then write this letter to mislead us?"
I don't know if Zhou Liang did it, but it is certainly suspicious.
Pu Weichao sat on the stool, looking at me with a furrowed brow, and said, "Xiaonan, you've had the most contact with this Zhou Liang, so tell me, what kind of person is he?"
I looked at him; I'd wanted to say this before.
So, after Pu Weichao asked, I told him about Zhou Liang's behavior in front of Lu Ding.
Pu Weichao was shocked upon hearing this and said unhappily, "Why didn't you tell me sooner!"
I was also helpless, and explained, "I wanted to tell you before, but you just ran out without giving me a chance."
Pu Weichao covered his face, unsure of what to say. "Besides these, is there anything else? Did Zhou Liang tell you anything else?"
I shook my head and said, "That's all."
I've already talked about what happened this morning. I've told you everything about Zhou Liang, and there's really nothing else to say.
Pu Weichao snatched the envelope from my hand and left without looking back, leaving only the words: "You rest here, I'll go think about what to do next."
Pu Weichao didn't look well when he left; he probably won't have a good time in the coming days.
Lu Ding's scheming deal and Zhou Liang's sudden departure both seem to hint at something.
Could it be that these two people actually have a collaborative relationship?
I just hate that my brain isn't big enough.
If only I had the same thinking ability as Pu Weichao and Zhou Liang, I might be able to help them.
But I didn't!
I picked up my notebook again and started rewriting, hoping to figure out what Lu Ding's plan was and who Zhou Liang's enemy was.
...
The following morning.
That is, the day after I woke up.
Pu Weichao called everyone down to a meeting room in the dormitory management office.
He originally planned to call people to my dorm room, but since the dorm room was too small and it would be troublesome to discuss so many people in one room, especially since I'm recovering quite well now, he changed it to the meeting room on the first floor.
Our group sat down in the conference room. Pu Weichao stood in front of a whiteboard with a serious expression, holding a marker in his hand.
Holding a marker, he looked at us and said, "Today is the first time we've all gathered together to discuss things since the Lunar New Year."
Everyone nodded in agreement, but no one spoke; Pu Weichao's expression was grim. Moreover, everyone was aware of recent events, so everyone remained serious.
"I called everyone here to tell you some things, and also to gather your thoughts and formulate our next plan. In any case, we've already lost once, and we can't afford to lose again."
