Pu Weichao's idea sounds a bit absurd, but it is a good idea nonetheless.
If we can deal with Ludin directly, we can save a lot of trouble.
Fei Lichao thought carefully and said, "It's difficult."
Pu Weichao asked seriously, "How difficult is it?"
Fei Lichao said, "It's almost impossible."
Pu Weichao didn't believe it. "That can't be right. You and Lao Yan can enter and leave places like safe zones without any problems. Is it really that difficult to kill someone?"
Fei Lichao looked at Pu Weichao with an expression that said, "Who the hell do you think I am? Back in the army, I was just a captain, not some special forces soldier. Even back then, you'd need special forces to carry out missions like this."
I was stunned; I hadn't expected Fei Lichao to say that.
Come to think of it, Fei Lichao is indeed quite capable among us, but compared to real special forces, he's probably nothing.
Moreover, he himself is not an assassin, so this kind of mission is indeed too difficult for him.
Pu Weichao wasn't angry. He nodded and said, "It was my oversight. Let's put this matter aside for now. Since Lao Yan has already gone to look for their residence, he should be able to find it soon. We'll discuss the specific battle plan after Lao Yan finds it."
Pu Weichao then said some unimportant things.
In short, our current accommodation has been exposed, and we cannot stay here for long, so we need to find a new place to stay as soon as possible.
After the discussion, around 9:30 a.m., Chen Sheng and Fei Lichao led a group out to find a new place.
Pu Weichao has disappeared to who-knows-where. Everyone else is basically busy with their own things, but I'm left sitting in the dorm, doing absolutely nothing.
I was so bored in the dorm. I lay there for more than half an hour, and my butt started to hurt.
I got out of bed, threw on a coat, and went to the corridor outside the dormitory, looking at the sunny and breezy view.
If it weren't for the Luding incident, we'd all be living quite comfortably now, without having to worry about anything.
Unfortunately, Ludin's threat is too great; if it is not dealt with, we may all die.
But nobody wants to die, so they can only try their best.
"It seems life is never smooth sailing, how annoying." I stared at the sky. The March sky wasn't clear; a bit of haze hung over it. It wasn't raining, but it felt very oppressive.
I was looking at the school when I suddenly saw someone running from the edge of the school to the dormitory below.
Upon closer inspection, I realized it was Li Jiaming.
"That's strange. Wasn't this guy on patrol? Why did he come back?" I frowned, puzzled. "Could it be that he came back to slack off?"
I glanced at the others and saw Yunlan walk past the school gate, but I didn't see Zhou Qingya. She must be behind the school.
"The other two are on patrol, why is Li Jiaming coming back alone?"
I was surprised, and raised an eyebrow. "Should we go take a look?"
Anyway, I have nothing to do right now, so I might as well go and see what Li Jiaming is up to.
We all lived on the third floor. When we came downstairs, we wanted to look for him, but we heard noises coming from the room next to the dormitory management office meeting room.
"Isn't that where the guns are stored? What's Li Jiaming doing there?" I wondered, and tiptoed closer to the door.
Upon arriving at the entrance of the armory, I turned around and saw Li Jiaming carrying a huge package, packing firearms into it.
What is he doing?
Why load the guns? Who gave him the order? Could it be that Pu Weichao told him to do it?
Or did he come here intending to steal the guns? Given his personality, he probably wouldn't do that, right?
As Li Jiaming picked up the guns, he muttered to himself, "Should I take two or three pistols? Maybe three? But I can't carry that many, and there are bullets too. I also need to take some food, a knife, and an axe when I leave. I really can't fit any more. Just two, I guess."
Hearing his muttering, I was immediately surprised. Did he want to leave?
"What about submachine guns? Should we take them? Aren't they a bit too heavy? Maybe we should just take one?"
I hid at the edge of the doorway, watching Li Jiaming inside pick up the submachine gun and the bullets beside him, his face showing hesitation.
I sighed, feeling somewhat helpless.
Li Jiaming probably didn't want to stay here anymore. After all, the grudge between us and Lu Ding was very troublesome, and with Pu Weichao's words, Li Jiaming sensed a crisis, so he didn't want to stay here and die.
I can understand his thinking.
However, I cannot agree with his approach.
He's still struggling with the assault rifle issue.
I sighed, stepped out from by the door, stood in the doorway, and coughed.
"Cough cough."
Li Jiaming, who was inside the room, was startled. The box in his hand fell to the ground and broke apart as it hit the ground, with the bullets inside clattering to the floor.
He pointed his assault rifle directly at me, and I could even hear him swallow.
This guy seems nervous.
"Put the gun down first, you're making me nervous," I said.
Li Jiaming saw the gun in his hand and decisively put it down.
I glanced at the machete placed next to the door, decisively picked one up, and walked forward with a half-smile.
Seeing this, Li Jiaming raised his hand and shook his head, saying, "No, no, no, it's not what you think. Please don't kill me."
Ultimately, Li Jiaming was always afraid of me; the way I killed people terrified him.
I smiled slightly: "It's not what I think? You know what I'm thinking?"
