Is Li Ming going to arrest someone?
Who is he going to arrest?
The three of us looked at each other, wondering if they were one of our people.
After Li Ming gave the order, the six men who got out of the car all went into the first building.
Li Ming and Gao Tian waited beside the van.
I saw a pistol on Li Ming's waist. Then I glanced at the building next to us. Li Ming's men had already gone inside. Before that, Li Ming had said that two people had surrounded the person they were looking for.
Sending so many people to arrest one person means this person must be very powerful.
Could it be Fei Lichao?
Among the people I know, only Fei Lichao has the ability to get so many people to be mobilized to capture him.
But I remember when we escaped from the industrial park, Fei Lichao seemed to have been shot, and he was shouting for Pu Weichao to avenge him. Is he really still alive?
Jing asked in a low voice, "What do we do now?"
I said, "Jing, I'll go up and check by myself. You two can keep an eye on them from below, okay?"
Sister Jing's expression changed, and she resolutely refused: "No! We agreed before that you can't act alone!"
I said, "Sister Jing, I think the person up there might be Fei Lichao. So, if I go up there, it won't be like I'm acting alone. Even if the person up there isn't Fei Lichao, he might help me if he sees that I'm helping him."
Hearing this, Hu Fei disagreed and said, "That's not necessarily true. What if he gets kicked while he's down?"
“Yes! What if he kicks us when we're down?” Sister Jing chimed in.
"..." These two are really torn between them.
I can't force them to let me go up. I can't take risks based on my own guess. Hu Fei's words make some sense. What if the person up there isn't Fei Lichao but someone else? What if they won't help at all?
Given all this uncertainty, we can only proceed with extreme caution.
I stared at Li Ming and Gao Tian, and suddenly my eyes lit up. I said, "I've got it! I have a plan!"
Sister Jing asked, "What's your idea?"
I laughed and said, "It's a simple solution. Let's go out first."
The three of us quietly left the neighborhood, climbed over the wall in a secluded spot, and carefully avoided the zombies around us before reaching a fruit shop opposite the neighborhood gate.
I stared at the van and said, "Jing, you stay here for now. Hu Fei and I will go deal with those two guys. Only the one named Li Ming has a gun, so as long as we subdue them, we'll have leverage when the people above are arrested."
After listening to what I said, Sister Jing didn't stop me anymore and said, "Then be careful. If you have any problems, be sure to call me immediately."
I smiled and said, "Don't worry, Sister Jing, if anything happens to us, only you can save us."
Hu Fei gripped the axe.
I grabbed my pistol and charged out without hesitation.
We both walked very quietly, and since we were attacking from behind, we were still a van away from Li Ming and the others.
We quietly moved to the other side of the van, and then I gestured to Hu Fei, signaling us to split up and attack from both sides.
I went around from the right, and he went around from the left.
Because I was at the front of the car, my concealment was a bit poor. When I got to the edge, Takada, who was standing at the back of the car, turned his head slightly and actually saw me.
Takada immediately shouted, "Li Ming, watch out over there..."
However, before he could finish shouting, Hu Fei made his move, placing the axe directly against Takada's neck, rendering Takada unable to speak.
As for Li Ming, who had just heard Takada's warning and turned to draw his gun, I had already pressed the gun against his forehead. I stared at his slightly frightened face and said, "Long time no see."
Li Ming didn't seem to recognize me for a moment, but when I spoke, a look of surprise appeared in his eyes.
"It's you!" Li Ming exclaimed in surprise. "You, you, how could you still be alive!"
I didn't rush to answer him. Instead, I took the gun from his hand and pulled out a small knife from behind him.
Why can't I live?
Li Ming couldn't understand and said, "You, your addiction is so strong, how, how could you possibly survive!"
"Why not?"
Upon hearing this, Li Ming seemed to have misunderstood me. He then hurriedly pulled out several small bags from his pocket, which contained white powder.
"You, you came here threatening me because you want this, right?! I'll give it to you right now, how about it, you can take it all!" Li Ming handed it to me.
I stared at the thing in his hand, my brow furrowed, then slapped it away, pressed the gun to his forehead, and roared, "Li Ming, let me tell you, don't try anything funny. If you want to live, answer my questions honestly!"
Li Ming looked at me, puzzled. "W-what's the problem?"
I glanced at the residential area in front of me and asked, "Who are you looking to arrest?"
Li Ming shook his head.
I frowned, raised the gun, and slammed it into his face, yelling, "Speak!"
Li Ming covered his face and said with a wronged expression, "I, I really don't know! I just ran into someone here when I was out capturing slaves last time. I originally wanted to capture him too, but who knew he was so powerful? He killed one of us and ran away. That's why I brought people here to take revenge!"
I thought to myself, and judging from Li Ming's expression, he didn't seem to be lying.
