I was staring at the night sky when I suddenly saw a dazzling beam of light flash across the sky.
"A shooting star?" I sat up in surprise, staring at the dazzling light.
But then I realized something was wrong. A shooting star shouldn't be like that, right?
A moment later, I saw the light burst into flames. Although it was very high and far away, I could still see it.
Not long after, I saw the flame streak across the sky and disappear into the unseen distance and end.
Then, there was no further movement.
I stared at the north, where the firelight had disappeared, somewhat puzzled. "Was that a shooting star, or... a satellite that fell from the sky?"
Clang!
"Huh?" Just as I was staring at the northern sky in confusion, I suddenly heard a noise behind me. I quickly turned around and swung the machete I was holding.
I initially thought it was a zombie behind me, but when it blocked my machete with a retractable iron rod, I panicked.
"You reacted pretty quickly!" When the other person looked up and I saw his face, I completely panicked.
"Zhang Long!" I exclaimed in surprise.
The moment I shouted, Zhang Long pointed the pistol in his other hand at me and fired a shot without hesitation.
Bang!
Without thinking, I fell backward before he fired, falling directly off the car and narrowly avoiding his shot.
He was filled with surprise and doubt. How did Zhang Long find this place?!
