After Fei Lichao finished his cigarette, he flicked it into the monster horde below. They seemed to notice the cigarette butt and rushed towards it, creating a spectacular sight.
"I have a question, may I ask you?" I said.
Fei Lichao stared at me and said, "Speak."
"What are your plans for the future?"
"Plans? What plans?"
I asked, "Exactly, are you planning to leave here? We can't have so many people staying in the air-raid shelter forever, can we?"
Fei Lichao shook his head. "I haven't thought about it. Maybe the battalion commander has. When he wakes up, you can ask him yourself."
After I finished smoking, I followed his example and threw my cigarette butt away. A large number of monsters rushed towards the cigarette butt, which was still quite spectacular.
It's hard to imagine that these monsters were once human.
“However, there is something I do need your help with,” Fei Lichao suddenly said.
I was taken aback for a moment, then asked, "What is it?"
Fei Lichao turned to look at the air-raid shelter and said, "Inspection. I want you to check everyone in the air-raid shelter. If there are any problems, tell me immediately, and I will cooperate with you."
Upon closer inspection, I realized that a thorough check was indeed necessary. When I entered yesterday, the air-raid shelter was overcrowded. With so many people crammed into the same space, something was bound to happen.
Even minor illnesses or disasters could easily spread and become uncontrollable. Furthermore, the medicines in the air-raid shelters are limited and cannot support so many people.
Just as I was thinking about this, a dazzling light suddenly came from the east, making it impossible for me to open my eyes.
The sun rose, banishing vast swathes of darkness, and the whole world seemed to be reborn.
Fei Lichao looked at the sun in the east and said with a wry smile, "It's already dawn, and the leopard still hasn't returned."
