"Really?!" Jing and I walked to the main entrance of the botanical garden and took a look.
Several cars had collided at the main gate, and the area was overgrown with weeds. The botanical garden gate was open, and although the inside looked lush and green, it was deserted and desolate.
There's definitely no one in a place like this.
I picked up the walkie-talkie and told Zhang Zhihao about the situation.
“Let’s go back,” I said.
"Wait a minute," Sister Jing suddenly said.
Fei Lichao and I immediately became alert and asked, "What's wrong?"
Jingjie said, "Look at your three o'clock direction, is there someone watching us in that alley? My eyesight is a little blurry, so I can't see very clearly."
I quickly turned my head and stared at my three o'clock position.
There was indeed a figure watching us in the alley between the two buildings. The figure was hiding in the shadows and was not very clear.
“It’s a person!” Fei Lichao’s eyesight is better than ours; he recognized it at a glance.
Immediately, he made a decision that surprised us all.
He took off running!
After seeing Fei Lichao run past, the people in the alley quickly turned and ran away.
"He actually is a human!" I exclaimed in surprise. I took out my walkie-talkie and told Zhang Zhihao about the situation, then ran off with Fei Lichao.
Sister Jing followed behind me.
Fei Lichao's speed was astonishing. In an instant, he crossed the road, kicking the zombies on the road away and smashing them against the telephone poles.
I couldn't be bothered with it, so I grabbed the knife and ran into the alley.
The alleyway is not long, only about thirty or forty meters long.
When I ran out of the alley, I saw that Fei Lichao had already subdued the guy who was spying on us.
The man was filthy and kept begging for mercy: "Don't kill me, please don't kill me! I didn't steal anything from you, really I didn't! I'll never come here again, please don't kill me!"
