I sat on a stool in the conference room and gestured for the other person to sit down as well.

I scoffed, "You have to make this trip yourself for something like this?"
Su Mu smiled and said, "Of course I don't need to make this trip myself. I just came here to talk to you face to face."
"What are we talking about? Getting me to join Jiangbei?" I asked.
Su Mu nodded. "Yes, that's why I'm here to talk to you about this."
I didn't respond, and the atmosphere in the conference room became heavy.
The meeting room door was closed, but I knew Cui Xiaofei and Liu Guang were eavesdropping outside.
In the meeting room, Sister Jing and Fei Lichao were both looking at me, while Zhang Zhihao had his head down, seemingly lost in thought.
Su Mu continued, "Dr. Lu, are you really that unwilling to join Jiangbei? With your abilities and methods, once you're in Jiangbei, I'll put you directly into the committee, where you'll enjoy the same status as me. As for your friends, they'll naturally be family."

I was stunned; I was genuinely shocked by Su Mu's idea.

What if Zhou Qingya refuses? She will definitely be forced into it, not to mention her status; someone will definitely covet her.
I stared at Su Mu and asked, "Is there anything else you want to say?"

I nodded and smiled, glanced at Sister Jing and Fei Lichao, and said, "Since you've finished talking, I'll give you my answer too. When I got to the door, I opened it and saw Liu Guang and Cui Xiaofei backing away. As for Su Yao, he was patrolling the school, so he didn't hear what was just said.
I went outside, glanced at the two of them, and asked, "Did you hear what was being said inside?"
Liu Guang and Cui Xiaofei nodded.
I asked, "Now that you've heard it, what are your thoughts?"
"Huh?" Cui Xiaofei looked at me in surprise.
