One minute ago.
When I heard a loud crash not far away, I rushed over to take a look and saw that Cui Xiaofei was surrounded by zombies. So I quickly went over to help and shot and killed the zombies around her.
Of course, not all zombies could be killed. Some zombies that weren't shot in the head only took two steps back before continuing to charge forward.
I ran over, killed the zombie blocking my way, pulled up Cui Xiaofei who was squatting on the ground crying, and hurriedly ran away.

I said something, grabbed my machete, and ran out first, with Cui Xiaofei close behind me.
I've killed most of the zombies in front of me, leaving only a few scattered ones blocking my way. As I ran over, I instantly killed the two zombies directly in front of me, and ignored the rest.
Cui Xiaofei was scared at this point, so she didn't provoke the other zombies and stayed close behind me.
We ran past the building and onto a side driveway. There wasn't a soul around except for zombies, let alone Lu Yun.
"There's no one here!" Cui Xiaofei said anxiously.
“If that iron rod really was thrown at you by Lu Yun, she might be hiding nearby,” I said.
"Ah, Brother Lu, do you mean this stick might have been thrown by someone else?" Cui Xiaofei asked doubtfully.
I nodded. "No matter what, Lu Yun knows you. Even if you follow her, she won't kill you. So I feel there might be other people around here."
Cui Xiaofei panicked, "What about the others?! What do we do then?"
I laughed and said, "What else can we do? We'll just run into each other."
Cui Xiaofei said, "But if he really is a stranger, he's definitely not a good person. He almost killed me just now!"
Cui Xiaofei is right; we do need to be more cautious.
"Let's go and look around this area."
I searched the area with Cui Xiaofei, but we couldn't find any trace of Lu Yun.
I'm starting to suspect that Lu Yun has already gone back.
Let's look around some more; maybe the person who threw the iron bar earlier was someone else entirely.
I continued walking north for a while.
There were significantly fewer zombies here than before, so the two of us weren't as reserved.

Cui Xiaofei and I were standing under the eaves, so all we could see when we looked up was the ceiling. I took two steps outside and turned to look up, but I couldn't see anything.

Cui Xiaofei did not continue speaking.
I listened carefully and soon heard a sound coming from the second floor. It seemed that there really was someone up there!
I went to Cui Xiaofei's side and said, "You wait here, I'll go up and check. If anything happens, leave quickly, okay?"
Cui Xiaofei dared not object and nodded hastily.
"Okay, stay here. If something happens to me up there, go back the way we came to find Zhang Zhihao."
"Uh-huh."
After giving my explanation, I took out my pistol and a knife, and went around to the back of the building. There was no door in front, so I had to go in from the back.
When I reached the corner at the back, I peeked out and saw a man guarding the back door. He had a pistol tucked into his waistband and a small knife in his hand, and he was filing his nails.
"There really is someone!" I muttered to myself.
"I don't know which team this group belongs to. They seem to be just passing through and not from around here. But I'm really curious, what are they doing here?"
"Perhaps they are Su Mu's men, placed here to monitor us?"
I had all sorts of guesses in my mind, but I dared not make any conclusions before I was sure who these people were.
Just then, I heard footsteps coming from the back door, and the guy with the knife and nail clippings was walking this way.
