Chapter 293 Burial

(This is the second chapter today; there will be more tonight.)

Around 1 p.m., I stood on the rooftop looking down at the situation in Jiangbei. Although I couldn't hear what the people below were discussing, I roughly understood the situation below.

The people below were divided into three groups. The first group was those who supported Su Mu, namely the field team. After all, Su Mu was the captain of the field team before Zhang Zhihao. The people in the field team basically knew Su Mu and knew what Su Mu had done, so they supported him from beginning to end.

The second group consisted of conservatives led by Wu Zhenzhou. Their idea was for everyone to leave this place and live a peaceful life elsewhere, without getting involved in any struggles.

There's not much to say about this group of people.

The third group was led by Fu Cheng'an, a guy who wanted to oust Su Mu from his position. I don't know why he did it, but I guess he just wanted to be the leader and have some fun.

The situation in Jiangbei is very troublesome in my opinion, because none of the three parties are willing to submit to the others, especially when it comes to resource allocation. Wu Zhenzhou's allocation plan is completely ineffective in the eyes of the field team and Fu Chengan, so it will not be an easy task for him to take his people away from Jiangbei.

Su Mu is still resting and thinking about his plan, saying he will go out to deal with it at two o'clock.

I couldn't be bothered with him, so I went up to the rooftop to get some fresh air.

I have already spoken to Fei Lichao about this matter, and he has agreed. He will keep an eye on things from the shadows and will take action if anything happens.

However, I hadn't been on the rooftop for long when someone I hadn't seen in a long time came up there, carrying a sniper rifle.

"Hey, I didn't expect to run into you here. It's been a long time!"

I turned around and saw Fang Lin, whom I hadn't seen in a long time. He was the sniper who had saved me back then.

"It has indeed been a long time," I said.

Fang Lin smiled, "What are you doing here? Why don't you go down and discuss it with the boss?"

I said, "I came up here to calm down. What are you doing here with a gun?"

Fang Lin glanced at the sniper rifle in his hand and laughed, "I'm here to help you guys. The boss said he wants to go out with you to deal with those troublesome things down there. Just to be on the safe side, I'm here to keep an eye on things. If anyone dares to lay a hand on the boss, I'll shoot from up here."

I raised an eyebrow; it seemed Su Mu had thought things through quite thoroughly.

But nobody knows what will happen next, so it's good to be on guard, just like Fei Lichao is secretly watching me.

"Then you stay here and keep watch, I'll go down first."

I said something and walked towards the stairwell.

Fang Lin said, "Wait a minute, I have something to ask you."

"Hmm?" I stopped and turned around, saying, "Go ahead."

Fang Lin asked, "Zhang Zhihao, is he really dead?"

I nodded and said, "Yes, the body is in his house."

Fang Lin asked, "Where do you plan to bury him?"

I said, "There's an industrial park south of Jiajiang. We'll bury him there."

Fang Lin seemed to know where the industrial park was, and nodded slightly. "I understand, thank you for telling me. I'll go when I have time."

"Um."

I've never quite figured out Fang Lin. When I first met him, I thought he was a mean-spirited person, but after getting to know him better, I realized he's not like that at all.

This guy gives me a strange feeling right now.

They seem to value relationships and loyalty, yet they also seem indifferent.

I couldn't figure out what kind of personality he had, so I didn't want to pay him any more attention and went downstairs directly to the room where Su Mu was.

When Su Mu saw me enter the house, he asked, "Is it still noisy downstairs?"

I said, "Yes, there are three groups. The ones arguing are basically the group led by Wu Zhenzhou and the group led by Fu Chengan. As for your field team, they are not moving at all."

Su Mu smiled. "Just as I expected, Wu Zhenzhou may seem a bit lazy, but he's not stupid. He knows that leaving this place is the wisest choice at this stage. As for Fu Cheng'an, that idiot, he's good at nothing but getting things done. It's perfectly reasonable that he disliked me from the beginning and made a scene to try to get me off the stage."

I raised an eyebrow and asked, "So you've already figured out a solution?"

Su Mu shook his head. "There are definitely ways, but after thinking about it, I realized they're basically useless. So I'm planning to use some other methods to solve this. It's 1:30 now. Let's go. Could you please help me down?"

I helped him to his feet and asked, "I'm curious how you'll resolve this."

Su Mu said, "You'll find out once we get down there, what's the rush?"

I helped him to the bottom of the stairs, and he limped down. I had previously bandaged the wounds on his legs and arms, but because he had been moving around so much, the gauze was now soaked with blood.

When we arrived downstairs, the field team members immediately spotted us and gathered around us.

The actions of the field team attracted the attention of two other groups, who then noticed Su Mu.

Supported by the field team, Su Mu staggered up to a high platform. His appearance caused an uproar throughout Jiangbei, with everyone wanting to know what had happened in the sudden attack.

Standing below, listening to the chaotic scene, I sighed, "It seems that a large crowd isn't always a good thing."

Su Mu looked at the crowd, and someone next to him handed him a megaphone. He was a little surprised, but after taking it, he shouted to the people from Jiangbei, "Quiet down and listen to me!"

Although loudspeakers were used, it didn't seem to make much of a difference, as many people were still making noise.

Su Mu frowned and shouted twice, but the loudspeaker's effect was very weak.

Left with no other choice, he pulled a pistol from the waist of the person next to him and fired a shot directly into the sky.

Bang!

The noisy Jiangbei area instantly fell silent.

Su Mu looked at the crowd, put down his pistol, and said into the loudspeaker, "It's quiet now. Didn't you want to know what happened during the previous attack? I'll tell you what happened now."

Immediately, Su Mu began to tell the people of Jiangbei about the conflict and hatred between Jiangbei and Biyuan. He spoke in great detail, and no one interrupted him while he was speaking; everyone listened quietly.

In summary, Su Mu did not place all the blame on Bi Yuan; he also admitted to the mistakes he had made.

After he finished speaking, someone shouted, "You're talking nonsense! If you don't have the ability to protect Jiangbei, then get down here, or you'll get us killed one day!"

I looked in the direction of the sound and saw a guy standing on the car pointing at Su Mu and shouting those words. This guy was none other than Fu Cheng'an.
