The next morning.
The sky was a bit overcast, and a light drizzle was falling.
I walked alone with an umbrella to the command platform on the playground. The guy whose finger had been bitten off by a zombie was locked in the equipment room.
I held the key, but didn't open the door immediately. I pressed my ear against the door to listen for any sounds inside, and found that there was no sound at all.
I immediately went around to the outside and came to the window with the security bars in the equipment room. I looked inside and found that the guy was standing there, not moving at all.

"Why are you so late? Where's the other one? Is he dead?" Du Xu asked.
I said, "Yeah, he's dead. He probably died last night. When I went to check on him just now, he had already turned into a zombie."
Du Xu nodded slightly, not asking any further questions, and then turned to the two people in the cafeteria warehouse, "Where are those two? Should we start interrogating them?"
I asked, "Where are Fei Lichao and Chu Yu? Haven't they arrived yet?"

Fei Lichao said, "No problem, you can take your time with the investigation. I'll be leaving now."

Du Xu, Chu Yu, Huang Yiyang, and I stood outside the warehouse gate, preparing to go in and interrogate them.

Chu Yu opened the warehouse door and went inside.

I shook my head. "I don't know, maybe she likes doing this kind of thing. Alright, let's not waste any more time here, let's go inside."
Du Xu and I entered the warehouse one after the other.
The two people in the warehouse were tied to chairs, their eyes were covered with cloth strips, and their mouths were taped shut, so they could barely make a sound or see anything.
After Chu Yu and Huang Yiyang came in, they glanced around at the two people a few times without saying a word or making a move. Then they stood aside and told us to take action.
I took my phone out of my pocket, handed it to Huang Yiyang, and said, "You can do it."
Huang Yiyang took the phone, nodded slightly, and then opened the recording app on the phone.
I glanced at Du Xu and gestured for him to come. He said yesterday that he wanted to conduct an interrogation, so I shouldn't take his place. Let him do it.
Du Xu nodded, smiled slightly, and without touching the two people, coughed lightly, "Ahem..."
He then said, "You two should understand your current situation. You're in my hands now. If you don't want to suffer, answer whatever I ask you later. If you don't answer, or try to say something else to fob me off, I don't mind taking action against you. Even if you beg for mercy, I won't stop."
Du Xu said, "If you understand, just nod."
Both of them nodded.
I watched Du Xu and the other two's reactions from the side, and I was a little puzzled. Could it be that Du Xu wanted to ask both of them at once?
Wouldn't this reveal to the two of them what the other's testimony is?
When Du Xu saw the two men nod, he wanted to go over and remove the tape from their mouths.
But at that moment, Chu Yu suddenly shouted, "Wait!"
