Chapter 554: The Operation Begins
The morning after I returned to the central town, Zhou Liang was gone.
I don't know when he left central town, but he disappeared when I woke up this morning. I guess he left last night; as for why he left, I guess he started his operation.

That should be the case, since Zhou Liang wanted to kill Wu Zhaolong yesterday, so it's quite normal for him to ambush Wu Zhaolong.

Wu Zhaolong roared, "What else could it be! It's because you don't like me! Last time at the meeting you suspected I attacked your research institute, and now you want revenge, don't you?!"
Ye Qian sneered, "So you're admitting that you attacked my research institute before?"
Wu Zhaolong cursed, "Bullshit! Ye Qian, let me tell you, I've never attacked your damn research institute. If you don't like me, come and fight me one-on-one if you dare, don't resort to these underhanded tricks!"
Ye Qian remained standing at the top of the stairs, not coming down, and said, "Wu Zhaolong, let me tell you, don't even think about slandering me without evidence! I can solemnly tell you that I did not send anyone to ambush you, nor would I do such a thing! Although I dislike you, I would never resort to such underhanded tactics against you!"
"So use your brain. If I have a conflict with you, who will benefit the most?"
Hearing this, Wu Zhaolong still didn't believe it and angrily said, "Ye Qian, don't give me that nonsense. Today I'm going to kill you!"
As he spoke, Wu Zhaolong was about to fire his gun.
But just as he raised his gun, a gunshot rang out.

Gunshots rang out at the stairwell.
