Chapter 592 Elementary School
There wasn't much left in the convenience store; it was basically all gone.
The boy was very hungry, so Hu Fei took some food from the car and gave it to him. He didn't finish it, saying he was saving it for the girl. Hu Fei told him he had plenty more and that he shouldn't worry.
Under Hu Fei's questioning, the boy told us about his past experiences.
He told us that he was from a primary school in the north, and that he and his girlfriend lived there.
His name is Fu Sheng, and his girlfriend's name is Cai Yingying. The two of them originally came out with the elementary school team to find supplies, but they got separated halfway. Then they encountered a zombie attack and had to run away. As a result, Cai Yingying's arm was bitten by a zombie while running away.
Left with no other choice, Fu Sheng brought the girl here and cut off her arm, but he didn't know if she would survive.
Not long after, we arrived at his MT and helped him out.
"Anyway, thank you very much. Although I don't know who you are, thank you for saving Yingying's life."
I said, "Don't thank me yet. It was just a coincidence that we saved your girlfriend, but since we saved her life, I have some questions I want to ask you. I hope you can tell me the truth, okay?"
Fu Sheng looked at me with a puzzled expression. "What's the problem?"
I said, "We're both from out of town and just arrived in Hangzhou today. We'd like to know the specific situation here. Could you tell us?"
Fu Sheng thought for a moment and asked, "What do you want to know? As long as I know it, I can tell you."
Hu Fei and I exchanged a glance, and I said, "I want to know how many survivor groups still exist in and around Hangzhou?"
"The survivor faction?" Fu Sheng was a little surprised.
I asked, "How many survivor teams are there in Hangzhou?"
Fu Sheng thought for a moment, then shook his head and said, "I don't know. I only know about this area. I don't know about other places. Maybe our leader will know."
I asked, "Then tell us what you know. We came to Hangzhou to find someone. Maybe among the people you know, there are people I know."
Then, Fu Sheng told us about the situation in this area.
In this area, there are only two groups of survivors. Fu Sheng lives in the elementary school we saw earlier, while the other group lives in a building. The two groups are far apart and have only met once when they come out to find supplies. Otherwise, they rarely encounter each other.
Therefore, the two sides knew very little about each other.
Therefore, Fu Sheng couldn't say exactly how many people the other side had.
After thinking it over, it seems that the situation in Hangzhou is indeed very bad. Because Hangzhou is a big city, there are too many zombies. It is basically impossible to live in the city. The only thing to do is to find a way to leave here and find another place to survive.
As for the two factions here, according to Fu Sheng's description, they did not have firearms, only some knives. If they had firearms, they would not be hiding in such a place.
Come to think of it, not every place has a central town like that, which is like a bug in the system. The situation in Hangzhou is relatively more normal.
Since they don't have any firearms, things are much easier. I looked at Fu Sheng and said, "If it's convenient, I'd like to visit your primary school."
Fu Sheng hesitated; he seemed reluctant to take us there.
I said, "Don't worry, we'll take you back first. Then you can go in and tell the person in charge that we just want to stay for one night and we'll take care of our own food. I might be able to give him what he wants."
Hu Fei said, "That's right. Besides, your girlfriend can't stay here forever. She needs to find a safe place to rest."
Fu Sheng finally agreed because of Cai Yingying. After resting for a while, I saw that it was getting late, so we carried the still unconscious Cai Yingying into the car. Fortunately, there were no zombies around, otherwise it would have been quite troublesome.
We drove off and, following the directions given by Fu Sheng, soon arrived at the entrance of the primary school.
There were guards at the entrance of the primary school. Our appearance caught their attention, and they were carrying homemade spears.
Hu Fei and I didn't get out of the car. Fu Sheng ran out of the car first and said a few words to them. Then, they opened the door and let us drive the car in.
Although we drove the car in and they carried Cai Yingying into a room, after Hu Fei and I got out of the car, the people in the primary school still stared at us warily. Judging from their expressions, they seemed very unwelcoming to the presence of two strangers like us.
Then, Fu Sheng ran out again and said to me, "Wait here, I'm going to find Uncle Zhang now and have them come to see you."
"This is troublesome," I said with a smile.
Fu Sheng ran to the administration building.
This primary school is quite large, but they all seem to be concentrated in one place, with the playground turned into a vegetable garden, where a lot of vegetables are planted.
I glanced around and there were at least forty or fifty people here, which is quite a lot.
Not long after, a middle-aged man appeared before us, following Fu Sheng.
The middle-aged man looked at the two of us and asked, "So, you're the ones who saved Yingying?"
I said, "It is indeed us."
The middle-aged man extended his hand and said, "My name is Zhang De. I used to be a teacher at this elementary school. If you'd like, how about we talk in the car?"
When I heard him say that, I immediately understood what he meant and said, "Okay."
After we got in the car, closed the door and windows, he said, "I don't know who you are, or what your purpose is in coming here, but I'm very grateful to you for saving my man's life. Fu Sheng just told me that you came to Hangzhou to find someone, but I don't know who you're looking for?"
I said, "A woman named Wu Shuang used to work at Hangzhou Hospital. She's about twenty-four or twenty-five years old."
Zhang De shook his head and said, "We don't have women like that here, so please leave. Anyway, thank you."
Hearing Zhang De's words, I felt a little helpless. I understood what he was worried about. After all, Hu Fei and I were strangers. For safety reasons, they probably wouldn't let us stay here overnight.
Although we were a little reluctant, Hu Fei and I agreed.
"Alright then, let's leave now."
"I'm so sorry to have troubled you," Zhang De said with a smile.
He then got out of the car, and we turned the steering wheel back and drove away.
