Chapter 605 Liu Tian's Fury
Liu Tian frowned and stared at me, saying, "Get out of the way."
I didn't move aside. "You want to kill him?"
Liu Tian didn't explain, his eyes filled with anger as he stared at me and growled in a low voice, "Get out of the way!"
Judging from Liu Tian's posture, he clearly wanted to kill the guy who had been bitten by a zombie. But this was going too far. Although I disliked them, was it really appropriate to kill them so casually?
I glanced at the knife still stuck in Liu Tian's waist and decisively pulled it out. After seeing my action, Liu Tian took a step back warily and frowned at me: "What do you want to do?"
I said, "I'll do it for you."
When Liu Tian heard what I said, he looked at me with a puzzled expression, not understanding why I was doing this.
I turned around and looked at the guy who had been bitten by a zombie.
The man's eyes were filled with terror as he kept pleading with me, "Don't kill me! Don't kill me! I'm alright, I'm really alright! Please, don't kill me!"
I stared at him and said, "I won't kill you. If you want to live, put your hand out."
Upon hearing this, he instinctively stretched out his hand, the one bitten by the zombie. I don't know if cutting off his hand now would still be effective, but it's worth a try anyway.
Everyone has the right to live. Even if I don't like them, I never thought of killing them all.
Everyone around knew what I was about to do. Liu Tian seemed to want to stop me, but I didn't let him come over. With a swift movement, I broke his wrist, and his left hand completely fell off, blood gushing out from his wrist.
"Ah!" This guy started participating.
But his screams didn't last long before the people next to him quickly covered his mouth to stop him from making a sound. If he screamed too loudly, he would definitely attract the surrounding zombies, which would be troublesome.
I looked at his bleeding arm, tore off a strip of cloth, and tied it around his arm to stop the bleeding.
Just then, someone next to me handed me a bag and said, "This is a first aid kit."
"Thanks," I said. I opened the first-aid kit and saw the gauze and alcohol inside. I said to the guy in front of me who had lost his hand, "If you're lucky, you won't die, but if you're unlucky, you still will. So I hope you're mentally prepared. Don't think too much. You have to believe in yourself and that you can survive, understand?"
"Mmm." The guy nodded with tears in his eyes. The pain of a severed hand was unbearable for most people, so it was normal for him to cry.
I treated his wound, and he fell asleep shortly afterward.
Aside from his friends, almost no one dared to approach him, because they were all afraid that he would suddenly turn into a zombie. If he did, whoever got close to him would be doomed.
After dealing with all of this, I breathed a sigh of relief.
At that moment, I saw Liu Tian give me a look, as if he wanted me to go inside and talk to him.
I know my actions just now displeased him, and who knows what might happen once we go inside.
As I entered the hallway, before I could even react, he punched me in the face. I clenched my fists, wanting to retaliate, but after thinking about it, I held back. I spat, straightened up, and stared at Liu Tian.
Liu Tian looked at me and said, "What were you doing just now?"
I said, "I'm saving him."
Liu Tian angrily retorted, "Do you think he can be saved? He's already been bitten by zombies, do you think he can be saved?"
I said, "Whether or not it can be saved, we should at least try. If you were bitten by a zombie, would you rather be killed or saved?"
Liu Tian grabbed my collar and shoved me hard, sending me crashing into the wall. He yelled, "Don't try to change the subject! I'm telling you, Lu, if you dare disobey my orders again, I'll kill you, you hear me!"
I stared into Liu Tian's eyes, not afraid, and said, "I understand."
Seeing that his threats had no effect on me, Liu Tian was unwilling to accept defeat and punched me in the face again, but I still did not fight back.
As for Liu Tian, he left immediately.
I touched my cheek, which was a little swollen from the beating, and gave a cold laugh.
Okay, if this guy dares to hit me again, I'll kill him.
I tilted my head, walked out of the stairwell, and rejoined the group.
Looking at the demoralized fire, Liu Tian seemed quite displeased. He lit a cigarette and stood at the door, seemingly deep in thought.
They all came out together to find resources, but they haven't found any yet and have already lost two people. If this continues, it probably won't be long before they all die here.
Nobody wants to die in this place full of zombies.
Because of my actions just now, the people around me have developed a better impression of me.
Just then, someone came up to me, handed me a bottle of water, and said with a smile, "Drink up. My name is Xu Guangming, you can just call me Lao Guang."
I smiled and nodded. "Thank you."
Old Guang laughed and said, "No need to thank me. We're all on the same side, just trying to make a living. If it weren't for you, Little Li would have been killed long ago."
I smiled and didn't say much. Actually, I didn't think Xiao Li had much of a chance of surviving. After all, judging from his condition, it seemed like he had been bitten by a zombie for quite some time. If the zombie virus had really broken out in his body, even if I cut off his hand, it wouldn't help.
Old Guang said, "Look at your face, did the boss beat you up?"
I nodded and said, "Yeah, I threw two punches."
Old Guang laughed and said, "Don't overthink it. That's just how the boss is. He's a complete lunatic. Let me tell you, I heard that he personally killed his wife and son. You'd better stay away from this kind of person. Sometimes when he gets impulsive, he can really go crazy."
I looked at Lao Guang in surprise and asked, "If he's that kind of person, why are you still willing to follow him?"
Old Guang sighed and said, "We have no choice. If we had a choice, we wouldn't follow him, but we have no choice. Although he's not a very good person, he's still quite capable. He's found a lot of resources before, which is beneficial to us, don't you think?"
I said, "Okay, but don't you think his actions were a bit reckless? Coming to a place like this without investigating anything is just sending you to your deaths."
Old Guang said helplessly, "Sigh, what can we do? He's so confident. He thinks this is the only way to train us and make us stronger. But we don't want to become stronger. We just want to survive. What's the use of becoming stronger? If a zombie bites us, we'll still die."
