Chapter 704 Integration of Linshan

Chapter 705 Integration of Linshan

Three days later, the operation began.

The first thing we need to do is eliminate all the forces that survive in the Linshan area and integrate them into a single, powerful force. This will be very difficult, but at this stage, we must give it a try.

There are currently over sixty people in Linshan. Excluding those who don't want to go out, only about twenty are able to move around. In the past three days, Yu Sheng has sent his men to patrol the Linshan area several times and confirmed that, in addition to the scenic area where they are located, there are three other survivor teams in the Linshan area.

Moreover, these three survivor teams don't seem to be very strong, with only about a dozen people each. If we can provide them with better living conditions and environments, I think they wouldn't refuse to join us.

Pu Weichao said, "Let's do it together, Yu Sheng and Xiao Nan. We'll each go one of them. As for your men, Yu Sheng, divide them into three groups and lie in ambush around the area. They'll be ready to act immediately if anything happens."

"Okay, I understand."

We could have proceeded one by one, but Pu Weichao wanted all three together, which I don't quite understand. However, since he's doing this, he must have his reasons, and I don't need to argue with him.

After the three of us chose our respective destinations, we descended the mountain together.

I took some food and went to the group closest to the mountain. They were staying in a kindergarten, and there were fifteen of them in total. They were not armed.

Actually, of these three teams, only one team's weapons are clearly visible. Pu Weichao handled that team, and I think he should be fine. As for my side, while there are no visible firearms on the surface, we can't rule out the possibility that some of them are carrying handguns.

I dare not draw any conclusions before everything is certain, so it's best to be cautious.

I had already driven to the vicinity of this survivor team. I promptly hid the car and had the people who came with me also begin to ambush them in the surrounding area.

Afterwards, I carried my backpack alone and headed to the kindergarten in the distance. There was still a thick layer of snow on the ground, and it would take at least ten minutes to walk there. I hoped that the people in the kindergarten would be kind, otherwise they would beat me up as soon as I got there, which would be too unfair.

Unifying Hangzhou is no easy task. Every beginning is difficult. First of all, we must unify the entire Linshan District. Only after unifying Linshan District can we move on to other districts.

I walked for more than ten minutes, and the cold wind made my cheeks stiff. Luckily, my hands were warm, so I quickly rubbed them on my face.

In no time, I arrived at the kindergarten gate. There was only one man in the kindergarten yard, who seemed to be watching over the firewood. The others were probably inside the building.

I arrived at the door. The man guarding the firewood inside heard the noise and turned around. His eyes weren't very friendly, but he wasn't angry either. He just seemed confused and surprised, and more than anything, wondering who I was and why I was here.

I smiled and said, "Hello."

"Who are you? Where are you from?" the other person asked, holding an axe in his hand.

I stood at the door and said, "I'm from the Linshan Scenic Area. My name is Lu Xiaonan."

"Linshan Scenic Area?" The other person seemed puzzled.

I continued, "Yes, that's right, the Linshan Scenic Area. My companions and I live up there. It's very safe there; there are no zombies. Oh, by the way, the reason I told you this is because there's something I wanted to discuss with you. Do you think it's appropriate?"

The other person didn't immediately chase me away. Instead, he slung the axe over his shoulder, glanced at me sideways, and asked, "Discuss something? What is it that you want to discuss with me?"

Without hesitating, I got straight to the point: "As you know, the zombie outbreak has been going on for a year now, and everyone has had a tough time surviving. So my companion and I were thinking of finding other survivors and bringing them into our group to survive together. After all, there's strength in numbers."

"That's why I appeared at your door, wanting to get to know you and see if there's any opportunity for cooperation. Of course, if you're willing, you can join our team directly. We live in the Linshan Scenic Area, where there's plenty of space to live."

I continued, "I've finished speaking. What do you think? I know you don't trust me right now, but I can assure you that everything I've said is the truth, and I have no intention of lying to you."

The other person didn't answer me directly, but smiled and asked, "Do you have a gun?"

I was taken aback, and a question arose in my mind. Why did he ask this? Was he up to something? Or was it just his wariness?

I thought for a moment and then said truthfully, "Yes, I have a gun."

The other person nodded. "So, if I don't agree, are you going to force me at gunpoint?"

I shook my head and said, "No, if you don't want to, I won't force you now, but I will come to see you almost every day to discuss this matter until you agree."

The other person smiled and said, "Then I advise you to give up on that idea. I won't agree to it. Please leave and don't come back again. I'm living very well here and don't want to be disturbed in any way. Thank you for your kindness."

After he finished speaking, he didn't talk to me anymore and turned around to continue chopping wood. I glanced at the buildings in the kindergarten and saw some figures inside, but none of them came out, which was strange.

Is it because I'm a stranger that they're unwilling to come out?

I said, "I won't give up."

"Whatever, I won't agree," the other person said.

The other person wasn't a particularly forceful person; he seemed easy to talk to. I just didn't know why he was refusing me. The living environment on the mountain was much better than here, and zombies often appeared in the vicinity.

Since the other party is not agreeing now, I can't stay here and force them. After all, this matter can only be done slowly and cannot be rushed. Although the other party has refused now, it does not mean that they will refuse in the future.

When I first came out, I didn't plan to get them to agree on the first day. It takes time. Anyway, let's take it slow. As long as I show enough sincerity, I think they will definitely join Linshan.

I turned back, and on the way back I thought that Pu Weichao and Yu Sheng's situation was probably similar.
