Chapter 170 Catching Zombies

(End of fourth update. To be continued tomorrow. Please recommend. Thank you everyone.)

After Li Ming returned, the first thing he did was to see Huo Cheng, the boss.

I was standing not far away with Takada, and I could basically hear Li Ming speaking.

Li Ming walked up to the luxury car, knocked on the window, and when it opened, a burly man inside asked, "What's up?"

Li Ming smiled and said, "I want to tell the boss something, something very, very important, almost related to our future!"

The burly man asked, "Tell me first, what is it?"

Li Ming was taken aback, and said, "I've found a place suitable for us to live in, and it's absolutely safe!"

The burly man didn't speak this time, but a voice came from inside the car—it was Huo Cheng's voice.

"Oh? You found a place to stay?" Huo Cheng's puzzled voice came from inside the car.

“Yes, boss. That place isn’t far from here. It’s a high school. I just checked it out. It’s very clean inside, no zombies! And the surrounding walls are intact. We can definitely live there,” Li Ming said.

Click.

The car door opened, and Huo Cheng got out of the car with his phone in his hand. Huo Cheng was quite tall, looking to be over 1.8 meters tall and in his thirties. His clothes were very clean, as if he didn't belong to this world.

Huo Cheng looked down at Li Ming and asked, "Did you find this place yourself, or did someone else find it?"

Li Ming didn't want to lie, so he said, "It was the guy we captured before who said that. He seems to be from here, and he's the one who took me there."

Huo Cheng looked over, but I didn't look him in the eye and immediately lowered my head.

"Is that the guy who killed three of my men last time?"

“Yes, it’s him,” Li Ming nodded.

Huo Cheng nodded and sneered, "Li Ming, I can go with you to see that place, but if I'm not satisfied, you should know what to do."

Li Ming nodded: "I know, I'll make him wish he were dead!"

Huo Cheng laughed and said, "If I'm not satisfied, I'll make you wish you were dead first."

Li Ming's body trembled.

"Take me there," Huo Cheng said, getting back into the car.

Li Ming gave the order, and the convoy set off.

I returned to the van and saw that everyone inside had already eaten ****, and everyone's condition was very different.

I couldn't be bothered with them. I took out the packet of **** that Li Ming had given me from my pocket, swallowed hard, clenched my fist, and didn't touch it.

The craving hasn't kicked in yet. I'll eat it when the craving comes. If I don't eat it, Li Ming will definitely get suspicious.

I leaned back in the car, thinking about what to do next.

If Huo Cheng really does live on campus, it will be a huge advantage for me.

The school is my home turf; I'm familiar with everything there.

In less than twenty minutes, the convoy arrived at the school gate.

Someone went down and opened the school gate, allowing the convoy to enter.

Afterwards, Huo Cheng got out of the car and began to observe the surrounding environment, while also having someone check the situation inside the school buildings.

Huo Cheng's face was expressionless, so I didn't know what he was thinking.

However, judging from the fact that he just had someone check this matter, it seems that he has his eye on this place.

This would give me a chance to resist.

Before long, the craving kicked in.

I started feeling unwell, and without hesitation, I ate half a packet of **** to calm myself down.

I definitely have to quit this stuff. Half a packet of **** isn't enough for me now, but I have no choice. I have to control the dosage. If I increase the dosage, I'm doomed.

...

When I woke up, I was still completely weak.

It was already evening, and the sun was setting.

I went outside the van and took a look, and found that Huo Cheng was no longer in his luxury car, but had moved into the dormitory.

Li Ming was eating not far away, his face full of smiles.

Li Ming turned his head, saw me, scooped a bowl of rice from the pot, brought it to me, and shoved it into my hand, saying, "Kid, this is what you ate today. You did a good job. I'll give you something good later, but don't give too much at once, or it'll kill you."

"Yes, yes, I know." I took the food, but to be honest, I couldn't eat it.

But I have to eat. My body is on the verge of collapse. I haven't eaten anything hot in a long time. I need to replenish my body's energy, so even if I can't eat anymore, I have to eat.

I sat on the steps to the side, picking at my food and thinking about my next plan.

Now that they've settled here, it's time to fight back.

I'm going to take back what's rightfully mine, and I'm going to kill everyone here!

...

Time flies faster than I expected.

A week has passed and the weather has warmed up completely. However, the weather has been rather poor lately, with light rain constantly falling from the sky.

Within a week, Huo Cheng and his group had completely adapted to life here.

I'm also planning what I want to do.

Meanwhile, I was also waiting for Lu Jing, but a week had passed and she still hadn't shown up. I was afraid that she might be dead.

It's nine o'clock in the morning, and I'm standing in the drizzle, patrolling for them.

In their eyes, we addicts are slaves. Although we don't have to go out these days, we still have to do all sorts of things, which makes me very irritable.

But for the sake of my plans, I have no choice but to make do.

Around ten o'clock, my patrol ended, and I returned to the eaves of my dormitory.

I just got back and saw Li Ming and Gao Tian drive a van into the school and come to the vicinity of the dormitory.

It looks like they went out to capture people alive.

I saw them park the van in front of the dormitory. The back door opened, and two guards got out. They were from Huocheng and probably went out to help Li Ming arrest people.

A short while later, they pulled someone out of the car and threw him next to me.

I glanced at this guy; he was probably someone Li Ming had captured. He was clearly on drugs, looking completely comfortable and enjoying himself.

Li Ming looked at me and said, "Hey kid, keep an eye on him, you know? Don't let him die."

I nodded.

After Li Ming and the others left, I looked at the man lying next to me. He didn't look very old, maybe only twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old. He had long hair and a rather robust build.

He looked at me, his eyes filled with doubt.

He's still in that stage, completely immersed in his own world, probably unaware of anything about the outside world.

We can only tell him after he sobers up.

If his willpower is strong enough, I might be able to bring him in and have him carry out my plan together.

But it's too early to say anything now; it's still uncertain whether he'll survive.

Actually, Li Ming captured someone two days ago, but that person died not long after. Hopefully, this guy can pull through.
