I stared into Sun Shichao's eyes and thought carefully.
Sun Shichao's words shocked me. Zhou Liang and Pu Weichao disappeared. Were they dead or just vanished?
I asked, "Is it possible that Zhou Liang is already dead?"
Sun Shichao shook his head and said, "That's impossible. With Zhou Liang's strength, even if you threw him into a horde of zombies with his bare hands, he wouldn't necessarily be in trouble. Besides, we searched carefully at the time and didn't find his body. Of course, we also didn't find Pu Weichao's body."
I took two steps back, puzzled.
If Zhou Liang and Pu Weichao are not dead, then why did they suddenly disappear?
"You didn't go out to look for them?"

“I’m waiting for you,” Sun Shichao said.
I left the basement, and as for Du Xu, I couldn't be bothered with him anymore.
When Sun Shichao drove over, I counted that there were six people in total besides him. However, these six people were fully armed, which would be a bit difficult to deal with.
However, there are solutions to every problem.
After all, we are in the dark, while they are in the light.
With Zhang Zhihao and Fang Lin lying in ambush in the distance, they would be more than capable of dealing with them.
After I left the basement, we all took our positions as arranged.
Jingjie and Sun Zichen lay in ambush inside the building, while Fei Lichao and I lay in ambush in the bushes outside.
Zhang Zhihao and Fang Lin dealt with the situation from a distance.
A short while later, we saw several fully armed men appear at the entrance of the residential complex.
They looked puzzled and didn't rush in. Moreover, there were only four of them, not six; the other two should still be inside the villa complex.
If there are only four, then things will be much easier.
A short while later, the four of them entered the residential area together through the main gate.
When the four of us arrived at the fountain, the zombies we had prepared beforehand were released from the residential building.
As expected, the appearance of the zombies attracted the attention of the four people.
The four men didn't rush to kill the zombies. Instead, they observed their surroundings and, after confirming that everything was alright, drew their knives from their waists and went forward to kill the zombies.
They easily took down the four zombies.
Then they started to scatter, trying to find Sun Shichao.
One of them went into a building, while the other three scattered.
So we took action.
Fei Lichao caught up with one, and I caught up with one too.
I stared at the guy in front of me who was walking deeper into the residential area, and silently approached him. He was holding a gun, so I didn't dare to make any rash moves and could only get closer to him little by little.
However, at that very moment, a gunshot rang out from a residential building.
The commotion startled the guy in front of me. He turned around and we were face to face instantly.
I really wanted to curse, it felt like a million alpacas were stampeding through my mind.
What was originally intended as a sneak attack has now turned into a head-on confrontation!
"Who are you!" The guy didn't fire immediately, but asked instead.
I didn't bother arguing with him, so I just fired. A loud bang, and a bloody hole appeared in his head. I walked over and took his pistol and magazine, along with the knife from his body.
I shook my head, turned and left. This guy died because he talked too much. If he hadn't asked me and had just shot me, I might be the one who's dead.
Back where I had been hiding, I saw Sun Zichen in that building give me a thumbs-up. Clearly, he had successfully killed one of them.
As for Fei Lichao, in no time at all, I saw him carrying a person running towards me, saying, "I killed one and spared one."
"Hmm." I nodded, though my expression remained unchanged, I was inwardly surprised. Only Fei Lichao could kill and capture one after another so easily.
Just then, my walkie-talkie started ringing.
"Brother Lu, be careful, the two remaining people in the villa complex have already headed in your direction."
Zhang Zhihao's voice came through, and Fei Lichao and I exchanged a glance and said, "You don't need to hold back, just snipe them!"
"clear."
Not long after, two gunshots rang out in the distance.
A moment later, the walkie-talkie crackled to life again. "Brother Lu, it's resolved."
"Okay, thanks."
I smiled at Fei Lichao.
And just like that, we easily took down their six members.
Basically, only four bullets were wasted.
However, one person is still alive.
Fei Lichao carried the living guy into the residential building, and we went straight up to the second floor and dumped him in the room.
