A group of people followed the dean and walked to the old lady's bed.
The dean pointed at the old lady's right wrist.
"Look, is her wrist feeling better?"
Dr. Lantian walked forward with a puzzled look on his face, took a closer look, and then touched her limbs. He felt much better than before.
He looked at the dean in disbelief.
The dean nodded with a smile.
He looked at the old lady again, hoping to get a positive answer from her.
The old lady looked at him with a smile on her face.
"Dean, what's going on? Just this one time, it had such a good effect? Is this true?"
"Who else do you think has this ability?"
He anxiously asked the old lady, "Old lady, who treated your hand?"
The old lady glanced at the crowd, her eyes stopped on Wang Xiaolan, and she became excited.
She raised her trembling hands and said, "Thank you, girl."
Wang Xiaolan was the only woman in the group, so everyone naturally knew who the old lady was talking about.
Dr. Lantian still couldn't believe what he saw.
"I don't believe it. I want to see her operation with my own eyes."
The doctors present immediately started discussing, and some raised objections.
"Doctor Lan, you are right."
"Director, you should let her make her prescriptions public so we can all learn from them. This way, more people will benefit. This will make our hospital more capable, and it will also bring honor to you, the director!"
Some people present also expressed their objections and opposed Dr. Lantian's statement.
"You ask others to reveal their secret recipe, why don't you reveal it yourself?"
"For so many years, you have always enjoyed the top position in our hospital. Now that your position is no longer stable, you are using the banner of sharing medical skills. Do you have any ulterior motives?"
"Isn't this openly plagiarizing other people's work? This is unethical."
"Your request is too much!"
"What's the big deal? Sharing a good secret recipe with everyone isn't a bad thing. Everyone benefits. Actually, you all want to know, but you're just afraid to say it."
At this time, everyone was divided into two factions, arguing fiercely for a while.
Seeing this, the dean said, "Stop arguing. Whether it's public or not is Dr. Wang's business. It's her right. Please respect her. We just need to look at the results."
Wang Xiaolan saw this scene and thought they were funny. She raised her lips slightly. Not wanting to join him, she opened the medical bag in her hand, took out the silver needles, and started to prick the patient.
Her action immediately attracted everyone's attention. The ward suddenly became quiet and everyone held their breath.
The last needle was inserted into the patient's Yongquan acupoint, and the patient let out a scream.
This scream kept echoing in the ward for a long time, making everyone feel creepy.
Someone suddenly said, "If you know it's a cure, those who don't would think it's killing people."
"This is too barbaric. How can you treat illnesses like this? There's no scientific basis for it."
At this time, Doctor Lantian took over and said, "Yes! To put it bluntly, she is just a local doctor with no scientific basis. County Magistrate, would you trust her with your mother's care?"
"I don't think it will take a few days..."
When the county magistrate heard this, he thought, wasn't this clearly a curse on his mother? His face suddenly turned very ugly...
The dean couldn't stand it any longer and shouted angrily, "Shut up, you crow. Are you done yet? You have no real ability, but you are the worst at making trouble. Get out of here."
The person who said this was the son of the hospital's vice president, named Chu Qiang. He had just graduated from medical school and was an internal medicine doctor at the county hospital.
He was twenty-three years old, about 1.8 meters tall, and quite handsome. He was smooth-talking and liked to brag. There was everything he knew about the world, which made the young nurses in the hospital laugh. He was the focus wherever he went.
But today, after hearing what the dean said, he was angry and annoyed, in a dilemma and very embarrassed.
Wang Xiaolan glared at him and said to the dean.
"Dean, please let this young man stay! I'm in need of an assistant right now, and I think he can do it."
The dean said, "You are so lucky, our doctor Wang took a fancy to you."
When Chu Qiang heard the dean calling him, he was stunned and couldn't believe his ears.
"Why are you still standing there like an idiot? Come here quickly."
"Dean, I studied Western medicine, this..."
"Aren't you known as the know-it-all of our hospital?"
He gritted his teeth and walked over.
"Barefoot... Oh no, that's not right, Doctor Wang."
Wang Xiaolan wiped the sweat from her forehead and looked at him seriously.
"Please help me remove the needle! Please remove the needle at the acupuncture point I tell you."
"Removing needles is not something we doctors do. I'll call a nurse to assist you, okay?"
"No, it's you."
Everyone present started talking at once.
"Doctor Chu, you are so lucky. Out of so many people, they chose you. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
Amidst everyone's teasing, Dr. Chu had no choice but to accept Wang Xiaolan's invitation.
"Just pull it out. It's not that difficult. Doctor Wang, you decide."
"Pull out the needle at Zusanli on the right leg."
He looked around and saw so many needles on his right leg that he didn't know which one to pull out. Just as he was hesitating, a voice shouted.
"Below the knees."
Because he was unsure, as soon as his fingers touched his knees, he started shaking and couldn't decide where to start.
