After a night of thinking, Zhao Lihan decided to take this set of numbers to the provincial capital and find a cryptography expert to decipher it.
In the morning, everyone was eating breakfast around the table.
"Today, I'm going to the provincial capital to collect this month's salary. Does anyone have anything to bring?"
"Brother, give me a red hairband and a red silk scarf." Zhaodi was the first to say what she wanted.
"Brother, I want a pair of shoes with rubber soles and a pair of nylon socks." Lai Di also proposed what she wanted to buy.
Zhao Lihan wrote down in his notebook what his two younger sisters wanted to buy.
He ruffled Dabao's hair and asked, "What do you want?"
Dabao said in a baby voice, "I want candy. Candy is delicious."
Zhao Lihan touched Xiaobao's face, who couldn't speak yet, and said, "Son, what do you want?"
Wang Xiaolan answered for Xiaobao: "You should buy him a bag of milk powder and milk cake!"
Zhao Lihan stared into Wang Xiaolan's eyes and asked, "What do you want?"
"Buy me a set of high school textbooks!" Wang Xiaolan avoided Zhao Lihan's deep eyes and lowered her head to feed Dabao.
"Aren't you a high school graduate? Do you still want this kind of book? Don't you want something else? Like clothes or something?"
"It's been so long, I've forgotten a lot of what I learned."
Zhao Lihan thought to himself, "When I go to the provincial capital this time, if I find out there's something wrong with her, I'll have to sacrifice my own life for the greater good. I hope you won't blame me. This is my duty."
"Oh well!"
Wang Xiaolan was still concentrating on feeding Dabao, and didn't pay any attention to what Zhao Lihan said, nor did she notice the change in his facial expression.
"We're building a new house, so let's save as much as we can!"
He looked at Wang Xiaolan, his heart still conflicted. Apart from her strange behavior and that set of numbers, he didn't notice that she had done anything bad. He doubted whether his decision to go to the provincial capital this time was a wrong one.
When he thought of this, Zhao Lihan still came out of the house with his luggage and came to the village entrance accompanied by Wang Xiaolan. Xiaobao grinned and giggled at Zhao Lihan.

Wang Xiaolan thought about it and agreed readily.
Just as she reached the door, she heard a child's voice. She turned her head and saw a little girl of seven or eight years old limping out of the inner room.
Wang Xiaolan walked over and touched the child's bones.
"Boss, is this kid yours?"
"Yes, my little girl."
"What's her situation?"
"She was born like this."
"Have you treated her?"
"I went to the hospital, and the doctor said it's incurable."
