As the train passed through field after field, Liu Xiujuan's mood fluctuated with the turning of the wheels. She remembered General Su's words: "A soldier's path is not paved by family background or connections, but by one's own ability and moral character." These words struck her heart like a hammer.
"Am I really too willful?" She began to reflect. She recalled her attitude towards Wang Xiaolan, her defiance of General Su, and her behavior on the train with the new recruits. She realized that she hadn't lived up to her expectations as a soldier.
"I...I really want to go back."
She said this silently in her heart. She knew she had made a mistake, but she didn't want to give up. She believed she still had a chance, as long as she could prove herself.
The train slowly pulled into Kyoto. Liu Xiujuan wiped her tears and stood up. She knew she couldn't just go back like this and let her father down.
What she didn't expect was that as soon as Liu Xiujuan walked out of the train station, she saw her father waiting for her at the door. Seeing her come out, her father's face was a little complicated. He didn't say anything, but silently took her luggage and took her into the campus.
"Dad, I..." Liu Xiujuan was about to speak when she was interrupted by her father.
