Chapter 457 Communication with Spirit Palm Animals

His heart tightened, and he instinctively looked up. It would have been fine if he hadn't looked, but when he did, he gasped in shock—he saw a black creature with shaggy fur, crouching on a tree trunk. Its dark eyes stared straight at him, and a wide grin spread across its furry face, revealing a row of sharp teeth. It looked particularly eerie and terrifying.

At that moment, a memory deep in his mind suddenly awoke. It was something Wang Xiaolan had once mentioned to him—this seemingly ordinary tape recorder actually had a magical function: it could communicate with animals! Thinking of this, he felt an irrepressible surge of curiosity and excitement.

He quickly reached into his bag, fumbling eagerly. His fingers moved among the various items until he finally came upon the small, exquisitely designed miniature recorder. Gripping it tightly in his hand, he eagerly began searching for the mysterious button that supposedly enabled conversation with animals.

After a careful search, his eyes settled on an inconspicuous button. Taking a deep breath, he carefully pressed it and decisively selected "Talk to the Monkey" from the menu that appeared on the screen. After confirming the operation, he nervously awaited the wonderful things that might happen next.

Then, a chaotic and disorganized sound suddenly emanated from the old tape recorder. This strange sound instantly attracted the attention of the guy named Xingxing.

I saw it quickly prick up its two furry ears and listen attentively to every note and syllable coming out of the tape recorder.

At this moment, its eyes were like two bright gems, fixed tightly on Zhao Lihan.

Seeing this, Zhao Lihan secretly rejoiced. He knew he had successfully piqued Hei Xingxing's interest. Without hesitation, he reached out his finger again and gently pressed another button—the one for eating food. Instantly, a crisp crunching sound echoed from the recorder, like someone chewing delicious food with relish.

Zhao Lihan hurriedly opened his bag and quickly pulled out a can of luncheon meat. He couldn't wait to remove the lid, and a rich aroma instantly filled the air.

Zhao Lihan picked up the spoon, scooped up a small piece of luncheon meat and put it into his mouth, chewing it gently with a satisfied expression on his face.

Hei Xingxing, who had been observing all this from the treetop, was also attracted by the tempting aroma. Its clever little nose twitched constantly, as if trying to catch the taste that made it salivate.

Finally, unable to suppress his inner desire, Xingxing slid down from the top of the tall tree at an astonishing speed and rushed towards Zhao Lihan like a flash of lightning.

Before Zhao Lihan could react, Xingxing had already snatched the can from his hand. Then, it swiftly turned and ran to another large tree, lightly leaping onto a branch. After stopping, Xingxing carefully placed the can in front of it, lowering its head and sniffing carefully, as if to confirm whether this delicacy was as delicious as it had imagined.

Once it was sure it was right, Xingxing excitedly raised its head and looked directly at Zhao Lihan, its eyes gleaming with joy and gratitude. Then, without hesitation, it opened its mouth and began to devour this rare delicacy. It savored each bite with relish, making smacking sounds.

Zhao Lihan took a look and saw that the python coiled under the tree trunk was not attracted by the delicious food, but was resting with its eyes closed.

Then he raised his head and cast his gaze on the "Black Star" who was now licking the empty can with his long tongue.

When Hei Xingxing finally realized there was no more food in the jar, he reluctantly retracted his tongue. However, his big round eyes were still fixed on Zhao Lihan, revealing a kind of unsatisfied desire and anticipation.

Zhao Lihan knew that it wanted to eat more, so he took out another sausage and gestured to it, saying, "If you can take me away from this tree, I will give it to you."

Hei Xingxing seemed to understand Zhao Lihan's gesture and actually understood it. Without any hesitation, he jumped up and rushed over from the thick tree trunk opposite like a black lightning.

In the blink of an eye, the agile black eagle had landed steadily beside Zhao Lihan and quickly clamped Zhao Lihan's arm with its powerful claws. Then, it flashed, carrying Zhao Lihan with it like a gust of wind, and instantly jumped onto another branch not far away.

Before Zhao Lihan could react, they jumped again like an arrow, drew a graceful arc in the air, and landed accurately on a branch farther away.

In this way, the man and the beast completed three wonderful jumps in succession, and quickly flew away like a whirlwind, and finally completely got rid of the place where the creepy python was lurking.

Zhao Lihan gave the sausage in his hand to Hei Xingxing. Hei Xingxing took the sausage and jumped to another bush to eat it.

Zhao Lihan carefully climbed down from the tall tree. He stretched his stiff body, then gripped the long knife tightly in his hand and began to cut through the thorns and move forward with difficulty.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, Zhao Lihan finally arrived at a particularly eerie place. The ground was pitch black, and the silence was terrifying. There wasn't even a breath of wind. Only the occasional creeping sound broke the silence, which was terrifying.

Zhao Lihan stopped and looked down, gasping for air. He saw a dense swarm of giant ants surrounding his specially made leather shoes! These ants were several times larger than ordinary ants, gnawing furiously at Zhao Lihan's shoes, making a harsh crunching sound.

Oh my god! Zhao Lihan's eyes widened in horror, an indescribable fear welling up in his heart. These densely packed, surging creatures before him were actually the dreaded man-eating ants!

Countless black dots were rapidly approaching him, some of which had already begun to climb up along his trouser legs. Zhao Lihan felt a tingling sensation all over his body, and subconsciously jumped up, trying to shake those hateful creatures off him.

However, these man-eating ants didn't seem to be willing to let him go easily. They bit his clothes and skin tightly and climbed up tenaciously. Zhao Lihan slapped his body frantically, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop more man-eating ants from climbing onto his body.

Suddenly, a man-eating ant stung Zhao Lihan's wrist. Instantly, a sharp pain shot through him, as if a red-hot iron needle had pierced his flesh. He looked down and saw a large, horrifying swelling erupting from the sting. A bright red lump had formed.
