Volume 1 Hidden Conspiracy Chapter 42

After the white light faded, all that could be seen where the evil path had been was a set of clothes, but the person had vanished without a trace.

The master frowned: "Did we still let him escape when we arrived?"

"Tch, a rat that can't stand the light of day."

At this moment, Master looked at me and asked with concern, "How are you, Xiao Xi? Are you alright?"

"With Master here, I have nothing to fear!"

It has been less than twenty minutes since I sent the message to my master.

How did Master get here so quickly?

At this moment, my eyes were slightly red: "Master, I'm sorry, I was too careless."

I kept my head down, not daring to look up at my master.

After all, this time it was as if I had jumped into a trap set by the enemy.

However, my master did not blame me, but asked me for the specific reason.

After I explained the whole story to my master, he was finally relieved.

The master frowned and asked, "Where are those two people you mentioned?"

I pointed towards the small private room, and my master walked towards it.

The master took out his phone and dialed a number: "Xiaoying, there's some situation in Puguang District. Come and take two people away."

After hanging up the phone, he walked straight into the small private room.

I followed quietly behind my master.

My master pointed at Liu Mingwei and asked me, "Is it him?"

I nodded to my master.

Liu Mingwei, however, did not see what happened outside the private room.

Seeing me walk in again, he immediately started cursing at me: "You bitch! I'll fucking kill you right now!"

After saying that, he got up and rushed towards me.

The master's expression gradually turned cold, and he rushed forward and grabbed Liu Mingwei's face.

As his master exerted force, Liu Mingwei's face began to slowly deform, causing him to writhe in pain and howl.

With a powerful kick, the master sent Liu Mingwei flying.

Liu Mingwei's back slammed into the corner of the sofa, causing him to clutch his back in pain.

He was also coughing incessantly, which shows just how hard his master's kick had been!

The anger on Liu Mingwei's face gradually turned into fear.

He hadn't expected that the master who came in with him would be such a formidable fighter.

When Li Ying saw Liu Mingwei being beaten, she rushed in and ran to Liu Mingwei's side.

The master did not make another move, after all, Liu Mingwei was in such a state that he could not withstand the master's punches.

After waiting for about half an hour, Zhang Xiaoying led her people in.

When Master saw Zhang Xiaoying come in, he didn't say much and waved to Liu Mingwei and Li Ying behind him.

Zhang Xiaoying didn't understand what her master meant at all, and directly led her men to handcuff Li Ying and Liu Mingwei and put them in a police car.

The master used calming talismans to slowly restore the consciousness of the students in the room.

A few police officers were left behind to handle the aftermath.

My master and I also got into Zhang Xiaoying's car and went to the Puguang District Police Station.

Once in the car, I asked my master, "Master, you didn't drive here. How did you get here so quickly?"

My master didn't speak, but pointed to the brocade pouch hanging at my waist.

It suddenly dawned on me—so this is the effect of the Swift Travel Talisman? It's truly terrifying!

After arriving at the Puguang District Police Station, Zhang Xiaoying instructed the local police to handle the matter.

The things that Li Ying and Liu Mingwei did did not warrant the intervention of the Paranormal Investigation Bureau.

After giving my statement at the police station, my master and I left the Puguang District Police Station.

Sitting in the police car, I had a lot of questions I wanted to ask my master.

My master seemed a little awkward upon seeing me, and gently comforted me, "What's wrong, Xiao Xi? Were you frightened?"

"It's alright, Master is here, you don't need to be afraid."

I closed my eyes, smiled slightly, and gently shook my head: "I'm not afraid. After all, I know that Master will protect me no matter what."

"I just have a few questions for you. Do you know that heretic?"

"He seems a little afraid of you."

The master nodded, then turned around and looked into the distance, as if reminiscing.

After a long silence, the master spoke again: "I saw that person more than ten years ago."

"Back then, my senior brother and I wandered the world, with nowhere to settle down."

"I still remember it to this day. It was in a remote mountain village. When I passed by that village, I found a red-haired zombie slaughtering people in the village!"

"The scene could be aptly described as hell on earth."

"Of the nearly seventy people in the village, none survived."

“I still remember that when your senior uncle saw that scene, his eyes turned red.”

"He's a very easygoing person; you almost never see him get angry."

"But that time, he lost his temper more than he had ever shown in his entire life."

"The two of us fought the red-haired zombie for two days and two nights."

"But in the end, it was discovered that the red-haired zombie had been raised by someone."

"The two of us then searched desperately for the traces of the corpse raiser."

"Finally, our hard work paid off, and we found the person in a cave."

As I listened to my master's explanation, I roughly guessed what was going on.

"That person must be the heretic from earlier."

The master nodded, his tone revealing resentment: "Yes, it's that person."

“Back then, your senior uncle even tried to beat him to the point of his soul being scattered.”
