Countless ants, as if equipped with accelerators, frantically gathered at the feet of the great wizard.
"They're wolf fang ants!"
The old sorcerer Liu beside him exclaimed in surprise.
Some people were puzzled: "Isn't that just a group of ants?"
Old wizard Liu shook his head and explained to everyone, "Wolf fang ants are raised by feeding various species of ants in poison."
"Both the body and the teeth are highly poisonous."
"Any normal person will become infected with a deadly poison if it gets stuck to their body."
"If you were bitten, your body would probably fester within fifteen minutes, and the pain would be like being torn apart by a hungry wolf."
"I didn't expect Wen Xia to use such a deadly move right from the start."
"It seems that if Wen Xia wins this match, she'll probably die even without the Grand Wizard handing over the Golden Silkworm Gu."
The great wizard on the field, however, did not care. Even when the wolf ants approached, she did not move.
The wolf-tooth ants that were close to the great wizard formed a circle, trapping him firmly in the middle, and were still closing in.
A sinister smile appeared on Wen Xia's aged face: "Great Wizard, you really have grown old."
"He didn't even notice my wolf ant encirclement; his old eyes are really failing him."
"I'll give you a chance. Hand over the Golden Silkworm Gu and give up your position as Grand Wizard, and I'll take back the Wolf Fang Ants."
"Otherwise, with your current physique, I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to withstand the bites of so many wolf-tooth ants."
After saying that, he added a slightly provocative tone, completely unlike his timid demeanor on stage just moments before.
The great wizard chuckled twice: "Hehe, thanks for the reminder, but these little guys are no match for me."
Wen Xia snorted coldly, "Hmph, you're stubborn as a mule. I'd like to see what tricks you have up your sleeve to stop my wolf fang ant!"
With a wave of his hand, the wolf-tooth ants swarmed and began to crawl towards the great wizard.
But just as the wolf-tooth ants were about to get close to the great wizard's feet, they fell down in droves, like flies sprayed with fly poison, without any reaction whatsoever.
Wen Xia stared at the scene with wide eyes, her face filled with disbelief.
"You! What have you done!"
"I told you, these little guys can't cause any trouble."
"If I could be threatened by such petty tricks, then my position as the great wizard would have changed hands long ago."
The great wizard watched with an indifferent expression, as if he were looking at a clown.
Wen Xia was somewhat embarrassed and angry, and gritted her teeth as she snapped, "Don't be so smug!"
"It merely blocked my probe!"
Wen Xia took out a small box from her bosom, inside which was a centipede.
The centipede twisted its body and coiled around Wen Xia's palm.
He and Wen Xia seemed very close.
Wen Xia stroked the centipede on the back of her hand and said softly:
"My little guy, go teach that other side a lesson and show her what you're made of!"
As if understanding Wen Xia's words, the centipede crawled from the back of Wen Xia's hand down her arms and legs to the ground.
It wriggles its long, narrow body with remarkable speed.
Before you know it, you'll find it has crawled far away.
The next moment, the centipede used its tail to brace against the ground, and with a burst of force, its entire body sprang up.
The great wizard waved his sleeves, trying to stop the centipede's attack.
The centipede, on the other hand, used its sharp teeth to pierce through the great wizard's sleeve.
The great wizard didn't seem to care that a piece of his robe had been torn off, and continued to dodge the centipede with slow, deliberate steps.
Although the great wizard moved slowly, no matter how the centipede crawled, it could not touch the great wizard's trouser leg.
"Croak!"
A frog's croak drew everyone's attention.
Suddenly, a toad jumped out of the great wizard's sleeve.
The toad's entire body was a dark green, which gave me an eerie feeling.
I looked at the toads on the field, and I couldn't understand it.
Shouldn't this be a competition?
What kind of things are these? Ants, centipedes, and toads.
If they fight a little longer, they might earn the title of the strongest beast.
Wen Xia's expression changed: "Come back!"
"Since you're already here, don't leave. My little one is still hungry."
The great wizard smiled broadly; to her, the centipede was like an immature child.
The great wizard remained unmoved, but the giant toad beneath her feet showed no sign of stopping its movements.
The toad stared intently at the long, narrow centipede, its cheeks bulging.
The centipede seemed to be facing a formidable enemy and turned to run away.
But then, the giant toad leaped up and blocked the centipede's retreat.
The centipede tried to escape from the side again, but this time, the giant toad jumped directly onto the centipede's body.
The centipede writhed frantically, but it couldn't break free from the giant toad's feet.
The giant toad toyed with the centipede beneath its feet, yet showed no sign of emotion whatsoever.
After all, it's a big toad, and it doesn't have much of an expression.
Perhaps the centipede was getting impatient, because it bent down and was about to bite the giant toad.
The giant toad neither dodged nor avoided the centipede's sharp teeth as they attacked it.
Just as the centipede was about to bite the giant toad, the giant toad leaped high into the air again.
The centipede bit at nothing and was somewhat at a loss.
The next moment, the giant toad sat down on the centipede again.
It doesn't cause much harm, but it's extremely insulting!
The high wizard watched this scene and chuckled softly twice:
"Hehe, okay, good boy, stop playing."
Upon hearing the great wizard's command, the giant toad leaped down.
