"Exactly, exactly, it's not entertaining at all. Let the whale be on top."
While she was talking, Yan Nuan made another one.
When Youjing heard everyone's voices and Yan Nuan's disordered breathing, he couldn't help but open his eyes.
When Yan Shi saw You Jing open his eyes, he panicked, his arms went limp, and he lost his support and fell down.
Youjing reached out and supported her.
"I'll do it." He sat up and gently laid Yan Nuan down in his arms.
"Alas!" The crowd finally saw the scene they had been waiting for.
How far have we gotten?
Seventeen.
Nobody really cares whether the movements are standard or not; what matters is seeing what they want to see.
Yan Nuan closed her eyes tightly. Even if she wasn't moved, no one could remain unmoved at such a close proximity, where the breath could be felt on their face.
My heart was beating faster and faster, I was holding my breath until my mind went blank, and the only feeling I had was that time was going on forever.
"Thirty, that's it, that's it. Get up."
After Youjing quickly got up, he reached out and pulled Yan Nuan up.
"Given Youjing's stamina, we should have just let him do it from the beginning."
"That's amazing. I can only do a few, and even then, my form isn't perfect."
"I've already imagined a 10,000-word romance novel in my mind. Being paired with someone makes me happy."
"You two are such a perfect match, you should get together already, don't hold each other back."
"Being able to fall in love in college is a very lucky thing, and it can leave you with irreplaceable memories."
"Right, right? You can retake a course if you fail, but you can't go back to your youth. University is the last stop of your youth. If you don't hurry up and catch the last train, you'll never catch it again."
"Alright, alright, let's stop meddling in their business. You scared away our lovely junior, you'll have nowhere to cry later. It's getting late, let's call it a day, everyone hurry back."
"What about the initial bet? Has it been resolved?"
"The person involved knows what's going on, so there's no rush."
After everyone restored the classroom to its original state and left, Yan Nuan wished she could disappear on the spot.
"Even the most brilliant people can ruin their brilliance over the most mundane little thing," Yan Nuan sighed with melancholy.
"Did I do something wrong?" Youjing asked.
"It's not that I did anything wrong, it's just that I'm ashamed." Yan Nuan patted You Jing's shoulder, got into the taxi, and You Jing followed closely behind.
As long as I haven't done anything wrong, it's time for another enjoyable free meal. It's really delightful.
"How are the club activities? Are the people getting along well?" Yan Shi asked with concern during the meal.
"It's hard to explain in a few words, surrounded by enemies on all sides, caught between a rock and a hard place, and worse than death."
"What happened?"
"In conclusion, it's unforgettable. Don't ask why; the answer is simply that the water in my brain spilled out of my eyes."
Yan Shi: Why do you go crazy just because you're participating in an event?
"Then let's not ask. Let's eat. You should eat more, You Jing. You're still growing at your age."
"I won't grow any more." Yan Nuan intercepted the eggplant box that Yan Shi was about to give to You Jing.
"You're starting to gain weight, stop indulging in food just because you're young!"
Yan Nuan silently transferred the meat from her bowl to You Jing's bowl.
Her younger brother, Yan Han, doesn't like to eat meat, so she can only put it in Youjing's bowl.
"Humans are so pitiful to have to control their appetites at such a young age. Look at cats and dogs, they are cute when they are chubby."
"Being overweight can also affect the health of cats and dogs, and excessive sugar and oil intake is a major cause of aging, so it's better to control their intake."
"Neither you nor Dad are fat, so I probably won't gain weight either."
"A gambler's mentality can lead to deep regret," Yan Shi said calmly.
"As long as you stay within a healthy weight range, my sister still has room to gain 20 pounds."
"But if I gain 20 pounds, my clothes won't look good."
"Okay, I was just reminding you that if you eat a balanced diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle, there won't be any problems."
"You humans care so much about being fat or thin," Youjing said to Yan Nuan after the meal.
"I guess so. From an aesthetic and health perspective, being too fat or too thin is not good. Don't you mermaids have this kind of problem?"
"I don't know. Everyone's pretty much the same. After all, we all eat about the same things and swim around in the sea every day."
"Wow, it's so nice not having to study or work."
"We eat shellfish, fish, seaweed and the like, not as diverse as your human diet."
"Then I'd rather be a human being."
After seeing You Jing off, Yan Nuan returned to her room, lay on her bed, and stared at the ceiling.
I always feel a little lonely.
She dreamt of a beach full of mermaids at night, their colorful tails shimmering in the sunlight. She was soaking in the water, thinking of swimming a little further into the sea, when she saw the mermaids come down and play around her.
She felt like she was a queen. Even after waking up, Yan Nuan couldn't stop thinking about it, but she was too embarrassed to tell anyone. In the end, she wrote it all down in her diary.
Before they knew it, it was Golden Week. The Yan family tradition was for the whole family to go out and have fun, but this year Yifan went with his girlfriend, leaving only the four of them.
"Let's go to the mountains and pick mushrooms!"
"There's a temple in the nearby mountains. I heard the vegetarian food there is delicious, and the tea made with spring water is especially fragrant."
"Let's go there."
After finalizing the location, we packed our bags and set off, arriving at the temple in the afternoon.
The temple's abbot was a sorcerer who, along with the monks, protected the villagers during the zombie outbreak. The villagers lived by the mountains and rivers, were self-sufficient, and had no intention of moving away. Over time, this place became a settlement outside the major safe zones, and there are dozens of such small settlements across the country.
Yan Nuan had informed You Jing in advance that she would stay on the mountain for five days during the seven-day Golden Week holiday, and spend the remaining two days with him.
