Chapter Eleven: Unconscious

Sure enough, perhaps tired of Zhuang Zhao's tricks, the man swiftly bypassed Zhuang Zhao and went straight to Yan Shi's side, picking Yan Shi up like a chick.

Yan Shi couldn't wait to get close to him. Since the black hole couldn't directly swallow his head, he would start from other places, such as his arms and legs.

Even if the alien species is powerful, it can't revive and regenerate like in anime. She'll just devour it little by little.

Yan Shi couldn't reach the other person's legs, and even waving his little arms, he couldn't reach the other person's body. In the end, he could only settle for second best and put his left hand on the hand that was holding him.

A slight itch in my palm indicates that the black hole is finally functioning normally.

In the blink of an eye, the black hole swallowed the man's entire arm. Yan Shi fell to the ground, and Quan Hou took the opportunity to shoot the man. After firing a tranquilizer dart, he immediately switched weapons and shot the man's still-standing hand and both legs. The bullets passed through the man's body and became embedded in the tree.

Zhuang Zhao rushed over, grabbed the laser knife from his tricycle, and slashed at the man's neck, but the man dodged it.

Just as the man was about to break free, Yan Shi snatched the laser knife from Zhuang Zhao's hand and severed both of his legs. The man lost half of his body and fell to the ground.

"Be careful, even without its limbs, the alien can still attack," Quan Hou shouted.

As expected, the man, no longer restrained by his legs, rolled around, and Yan Shi had no way to hurt his neck.

Yan Shi threw away the laser knife and rushed towards the man, hugging him tightly and placing her left hand on his back.

She wanted him to be completely wiped out, not even ashes.

As expected, the black hole was filled with a gentle breeze, leaving only air in his arms as the man's head landed in front of Yan Shi.

The man wasn't quite dead yet, but with only his head remaining, he couldn't do anything except smack his lips and make faces. He posed almost no danger unless someone was bored enough to put their finger in his mouth and let him bite it.

"I'm so tired." Yan Shi was exhausted. After the crisis was over, he felt weak all over and it was difficult for him to even stand up.

"How's your hand?" After poking at the head on the ground with a twig for a while, Quan Hou immediately came over to check the condition of Yan Shi's palm.

"It hurts a little, it didn't hurt before." Yan Shi held out his hand for Quan Hou to see. The area around the black hole in his palm was red and swollen, but there was no visible external injury. According to Yan Shi, it couldn't be a sprain or anything like that.

Quan Hou noticed the red lines on Yan Shi's skin. Following the red lines, he rolled up her sleeve and saw that her entire forearm was swollen, especially the area with the red lines.

"I have a feeling this isn't good," Quan Hou said, frowning with a serious expression.

"It doesn't look good to me either. Can you help me with a wet compress? It feels quite warm, maybe the swelling will go down after a while."

"What are we going to do with this head? Keeping it for research is just too scary." Yan Shi's tone was full of disdain.

"We'll definitely take it with us. We'll dissect it when we have the opportunity. We have to be careful; it's the head of a mutant. We haven't managed to get one in the entire District 11."

Zhuang Zhao silently wet a towel and applied it to Yan Shi's arm, then lifted her onto the truck bed and cleaned her wound.

"You've suffered quite a few injuries too, haven't you? Can you apply the medicine yourself?" Yan Shi asked confidently.

"They're all superficial wounds; just disinfect them."

"Bullshit, I saw it all. Her calf got scratched by a branch; she probably lost a chunk of flesh." When she saw it, she felt pain in her own leg.

"It's not short, it'll be fine in two days. Besides, zombies don't like to eat me, and neither do other species. Next time, don't drag me along. I'll hold them off, and you just don't look back. I don't want to see you get hurt in front of me." Zhuang Zhao lowered his head, his tone indifferent, but Yan Shi felt a pang in his heart.

"Don't say that, I don't like hearing it. What do you mean you don't like eating you? If there's nothing else to eat, it'll eat you. Not every zombie is picky. Maybe some of them prefer you?"

"Even if I really can't escape, I can still find a chance to fight back. What can I do with you if I leave you here? I can bleed you out for fun."

Zhuang Zhao laughed at the scolding; it sounded like concern and care, something he hadn't heard in a long time.

"But my blood is incredibly strong."

"It's even worse when there's no blood left."

Listening to the two bickering like elementary school students, Quan Hou could only sigh that youth is wonderful, still so energetic after a life-or-death crisis.

"Lord Quan, why did you make me take off the bracelet? Does the bracelet have any other function?"

"It contains an electric shock mechanism to prevent abnormal heartbeats during zombie transformation. If the Xenomorph's heartbeat is also affected when using its abilities, it could easily trigger an electric shock. Just in case, it's better for the Xenomorph not to wear the bracelet."

"I suddenly feel incredibly lucky to have survived. You shouldn't wear it anymore; it's harmful in every way." Yan Shi urged Zhuang Zhao to take off the bracelet.

"Hold this for me." Quan Hou walked over carrying the head. He needed to find something to preserve it, as he had no equipment on hand. Only after entering the laboratory in District Seven could he dissect and analyze the head.

"Why don't we just put it on the ground? It's kind of scary," Yan Shi complained. Zhuang Zhao's hands were both busy, and she was the only one who was free.

"The ground is dirty, full of bacteria, fungi and microorganisms."

"There's quite a bit in the air too."

Would you eat food exposed to the air, or food that has fallen on the ground?

"If it doesn't look dirty, then it's fine with me."

Quan Hou gave up trying to communicate with the foodie and reached out to hand it over. Yan Shi reached out to take it, his arm twisted behind his back. Quan Hou handed it over from Yan Shi's left side, but Yan Shi's left hand was covered in a wet compress, so he could only reach his right hand over his left hand to take it.

Just as Yan Shi was about to retrieve the head, it vanished into thin air.

The Marquis was going crazy. This was an experimental material that was even more valuable than that alien hand. How could it just disappear into thin air?

Yan Shi saw this familiar scene and immediately looked towards the black hole. Sure enough, there was a transparent pebble shaped like a date pit on his left, pale pink with a hint of red.
