Chapter Twenty-Three: Who Knows If It's Not a Blessing?



"Okay, everyone has their own preferences, but you're my brother. If she does anything to wrong you or treats you badly, I'll definitely have to say something." Han Yan finally got to touch the cat, but the cat didn't seem to like him. It crawled into the blankets as soon as he touched it and wouldn't come out, even baring its teeth at him.

The cat dislikes him, probably because he didn't bring any cat treats.

"It's none of your business, so please don't meddle in other people's affairs, okay? Haven't you ever been beaten up before?"

Then the conversation turned to what we ate when we were kids.

Zhuang Zhao: I was born several years later in the city, so we don't really have any common childhood memories.
