Quan Hou nodded frantically.
She's already thirty, but she acts like a heartless, clueless, and annoying child. It's so frustrating.
Yan Shi went down to run with the car. Luckily, it wasn't a dirt road. Even if there were puddles on the road, it wouldn't be a problem. It was just a bit annoying to step into puddles from time to time.
Zhuang Zhao stared at the rearview mirror and saw that Yan Shi was focused on playing in the puddles. He then turned his head and said to Quan Hou, "If you hurt Yan Shi, I'll take you down with me even if I die."
Quan Hou was taken aback, and his eyes narrowed.
"Come on, come on."
"What are you threatening me for, you poor thing who's so weak you're not even classified as an alien? Without me, neither of you will grow any stronger. Don't be fooled by how strong she seems now; she'd be no match for an alien. If you really care about her, you should accept my terms."
"I chose her because I felt she had great potential, not because she was the only one. It wouldn't have been a problem to choose someone else."
Quan Hou changed his previous unruly manner. After lowering his voice, his entire aura changed, giving people a sense of imposing authority and overwhelming pressure.
What is your purpose?
"They say genius is on the left and madness is on the right. In our line of work, genius is synonymous with madness. I just want to know what the Xenomorph is, where the potential ends, and incidentally, how to protect myself."
"I'll cooperate with you. Use me as a practice subject, but don't touch her."
"Okay." Quan Hou smiled broadly.
"Are you talking?" Yan Shi caught up and asked Zhuang Zhao. Remembering that Quan Hou should have his mouth sealed, she questioned him, "Why did you tear off the tape?"
"I asked about the Seventh District," Zhuang Zhao replied, his tone as calm as ever.
"Why wouldn't I tear it if I have hands? Who told you to forget to tie my hands?" Quan Hou remained nonchalant.
Yan Shi looked at Zhuang Zhao, then at Quan Hou, and felt that something was amiss.
