Everyone echoed, "I'm going too. I'm going too. It just so happens that I don't have anything important to do in the department tomorrow, so I'll go with you. I can't quite believe that Director Xu has such great abilities."
"What if he really is that capable? After all, he used to work in a hospital in a big city. If he is really that capable, with your temper, if you offend Director Xu, and our department needs him, wouldn't that be a sin?
"Bah! Impossible! If you ask me, Director Xu must have offended someone at her previous hospital or was kicked out because of her poor skills. After all, when I was her age, I hadn't even graduated yet, hadn't even tried my hand at surgery, and hadn't even been on an operating table."
You are you, and Director Xu is Director Xu.
What if you are just stupid?
The people nearby curled their lips and stopped listening to their rambling, muttering to themselves, "The dean and the political commissar are no pushovers." If they had agreed to let Director Xu take the helm of the cardiothoracic surgery department, if they had agreed to let Director Xu take full responsibility for this operation and lead all the doctors in the department, it showed that the dean and the political commissar had confidence in Director Xu and that he had the skills.
After all, they weren't stupid. How could they let someone who knew nothing or had gotten into trouble run the cardiothoracic surgery department? It was impossible.
Cardiothoracic surgery is the core of a hospital. If it does well, the hospital's reputation will skyrocket. This is a golden opportunity, but the dean and political commissar have problems and missed it!
Some of the same people looked at those who couldn't eat the grapes and said they were sour grapes, and they were sarcastic, sneering, and mocking them in their hearts. They really wanted to see how they would be slapped in the face by Director Xu tomorrow!
Xu Zhiyi was walking quietly on the way home from get off work when he suddenly heard whispers in his ears. Passersby were vaguely saying: Tomorrow our military hospital will perform a major heart surgery, and the surgeon will be the wife of our Chief of Staff Qin.
Xu Zhiyi held his forehead, sighed, and muttered quietly: "It's true that no matter where you are, there are always leaks! There is really not a single fuel-efficient lamp!"
You know, Old Man Zhang was just admitted to the hospital today and it was decided that he would have surgery tomorrow. It hasn't even been a day yet, but people outside already know about it.
Nowadays, even if there are no televisions, computers and mobile phones, it doesn’t slow down their gossip!
They really don't feel wronged at all with their mouths!
Xu Zhiyi stared at the locked door, wondering: Why did Qin Zheng come home so late today? Why hadn't he come back yet? Was he delayed by something?
It's no wonder Xu Zhiyi was overthinking this. Ever since she and Qin Zheng got married, every time she got home from get off work, she'd see Qin Zheng. Today was one of those rare days where Xu Zhiyi didn't see Qin Zheng, and Qin Zheng hadn't told her why he wasn't home late, or that he had something else that kept him busy.
Xu Zhiyi looked at the house without Qin Zheng, put down the bag in her hand, sighed, and went to the kitchen.
There were pig's trotters and some vegetables bought yesterday in the kitchen. Xu Zhiyi rolled up his sleeves, washed and cut the vegetables in the kitchen, and then went to think about the pig's trotters.
Xu Zhiyi then went back to the bedroom. When he came out, he had a box in his hand.
Xu Zhiyi straightened the pig's trotter and opened the box. He saw surgical instruments such as scalpels, needles, and threads neatly arranged inside the box.
Xu Zhiyi picked up the scalpel, placed it on the pig's trotter, cut it open, and sewed it up.
Only after Xu Zhiyi completed a series of operations did he remove the thread from the pig's trotter, wash it, chop it up, and put it into the stew pot.
As soon as Xu Zhiyi finished, Qin Zheng hurried into the room.
Qin Zheng pushed the door open and saw Xu Zhiyi busy in the kitchen. He was surprised and hurried into the kitchen. "My dear, are you cooking?"
Xu Zhiyi nodded, then shook his head. "I simply washed and cut the vegetables. Then I took out the pig's trotters and practiced for a while. I had just finished practicing and put the pig's trotters in the pot, just as I was about to stew them, when you came back."
Qin Zheng nodded, thinking: Fortunately, he came back in time, otherwise I would have to cook for him. But Guaiguai didn't know how to make a fire, so I could only wait for him to come back and cook.
The smile on Qin Zheng's lips slowly rose, and he said, "Be good, leave it to me, you go out and rest, we'll have dinner later." After that, Qin Zheng stood in Xu Zhiyi's position and began to cook tonight's meal.
After seeing Xu Zhiyi walk out, Qin Zheng looked at the dishes Xu Zhiyi had prepared on the table and felt happy in his heart: He is going to eat two bowls tonight. These were cut by Guaiguai herself, and I made them myself. This is the dinner that Guaiguai and I completed together.
After dinner, Xu Zhiyi and Qin Zheng slumped on the sofa. Qin Zheng held Xu Zhiyi in his arms, and Xu Zhiyi lay in Qin Zheng's arms, flipping through a surgery book in her hands. The contents of the book were exactly the precautions related to aortic dissection surgery.
Qin Zheng noticed Xu Zhiyi's inner panic. Qin Zheng remained silent, hugged Xu's waist tightly with one hand, and took the book from Xu Zhiyi's hand with the other hand.
Xu Zhiyi looked at Qin Zheng dissatisfiedly, "Qin Zheng, what are you doing? I'm reading a book, give it to me."
"My dear, are you scared?"
Xu Zhiyi snorted and turned his head away, saying stubbornly, "I'm not afraid. I'm just reviewing what I've learned to gain new insights and improve my proficiency."
