Chapter 17: Roadblocking and Arresting

Su the witch's eyes lit up. It seemed that her daughter had quite a lot of magical powers.

"With an ice array, can the house be kept cool?" Then, is there a fire array in winter to warm the house?

Oh, this is what the life of a god is like, right?

"If it succeeds, the effect will be similar." If one cannot even change one's own environment, then what's the point of being a wizard?

"Then go ahead and try it. Mom is watching you at home. But remember not to get involved in any danger."

"Well, don't worry, mother."

Yes, now of course I can rest assured. This is how mother and daughter should get along, with affection flowing naturally, care and respect, reliability and warmth...

After Feng Ling finished breakfast, he picked up a small backpack and other tools and headed towards the mountains.

Behind the Feng family's house, Feng Ming held the bowl, timidly looked through the bamboo fence, and tried to look next door.

Suddenly, a black shadow blocked the gap, obstructing his vision and making him unable to see anything on the opposite side.

"Xiao Ming, what are you doing?" An old and kind voice came from above Feng Ming's head.

Feng Ming was startled and stepped back repeatedly, almost breaking his bowl. Fortunately, he finished his porridge.

When he looked up, it turned out to be the old servant of the neighboring family, "Grandpa Zhong..." Feng Ming secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

The Feng family didn't have much contact with Zhong Bo, but they would say hello when they met occasionally, so they were quite familiar with each other, and Feng Ming was not afraid of this old man.

"Hey, what are you looking at?" The old man was an adult, taller than the fence, so he could see Feng Ming's actions clearly. What was this child spying on? This was the first time he had seen him so curious about his neighbor.

Feng Ming's eyes rolled around as he quickly thought of an excuse, "I, I want to thank you, Master."

Yes, that young man just helped my family get through a difficult time, so I want to thank him.

Zhong Bo's heart skipped a beat. "Thank you?" "Thank you, Master Xie, for sleeping with your sister?" That's not good. Your sister said they were just trying to detoxify each other, so it's even.

Although she didn't know what heinous crime she had committed, otherwise she wouldn't have made such a light statement.

"Yes, today Butcher Zhang came to my house to rob my sister and almost took her away. It was you who fought off the villain, so I have to thank you." It would be even better if I could teach him a few kung fu skills.

But the two women in the family blamed each other for ruining the water-changing business. Feng Ming felt that his mother and sister were being a little unreasonable.

But he is a man, so he needs to express his gratitude in a proper manner. It’s not too much to admire the young master’s appearance at the same time, right?

Zhong Bo was shocked, "Young Master, he took action?!" The man who wouldn't care about other people's life or death even if the sky fell, actually meddled in other people's affairs?

So, Miss Xiaoling is different, right?

Zhongbo missed the opportunity to watch the fun because he went into the mountains to look for medicine in the morning.

What a pity, the young master’s action only happens once in a thousand years.

"Yes, so Grandpa Zhong, can you take me to meet the young master?" Feng Ming mustered up the courage to ask.

Although the scholar is very cruel, he wants to become stronger, so contact is inevitable. As the saying goes, opportunities and dangers coexist.

"I see. However, I need to report this to you before I know whether the young master wants to see you."

Is this a good opportunity? Feng Ming's eyes lit up, "Then please ask, Grandpa Zhong, please wait for me."

Feng Ming hurried back, wanting to put the bowl back home and then go to pay his respects in a neat and tidy manner. Didn't he hear Zhong Bo say that he needed to report? I guess they used to be a wealthy family, so they had many rules.

But when Feng Ming turned around, he saw Feng Ling carrying a basket on his back. He immediately shrank his body and retreated under the eaves to prevent Feng Ling from discovering him.

Because Feng Ling doesn't want to have anything to do with the neighbors and might even try to stop them.

Only after Feng Ling's figure had gone far away did Feng Ming run home like the wind, threw the bowl away and ran to the next door.

The voice of Su Shenpo could still be heard in the room, "What are you doing with this child? He's so rough..."

On the other side, Zhong Bo stood on tiptoe, watching Feng Ling's departing figure, and asked doubtfully, "Xiao Ming, where is your sister going? Is she not going to give your things away again?"

This is what Zhong Bo often sees Feng Ling doing.

"Not this time. My mother said she was going into the mountains, but all the edible food in the mountains had already been picked up, and it was so dangerous. What were those two women thinking? It really makes me worry."

Feng Ming started his daily nagging. He decided to chase Feng Ling after he finished his work here.

Zhong Bo suddenly became a little anxious. The mountains have been very quiet recently, and all kinds of bizarre things could happen. He had encountered them a few times, but fortunately, he had good kung fu and those things could not do anything to him.

"Xiao Ming, wait a moment, I'll go ask the young master." Zhong Bo rushed into the house.

Then he saw his master sleeping peacefully on the cold jade bed in the inner room.

"Hey Master, Young Master, why are you still in the mood to sleep? Miss Xiao Ling has gone into the mountains."

Zhong Bo jumped up and down exaggeratedly, and people who didn't know thought Feng Ling was going to die.

Huo Jinxing didn't move, his reaction was just as Zhong Bo expected.

"Sir, don't you want to go and take a look? The mountains have been very dangerous recently. Not only are there ghosts causing trouble, but there are also spirits. Miss Xiaoling can deal with ghosts, but I don't know about those real things..."

With a swish, the figure on the cold jade bed disappeared from the spot. Only a low curse could be heard in the air, "Damn it!"

Zhong Bo smiled knowingly and said, "Haha, I thought you weren't worried about your antidote."

Then, stroking his beard, he slowly went to tell Feng Ming that his master was not at home...
