Chapter 166 Sealed Memories (7)

The girl standing outside the door, listening to the two little brats making a pinky promise, smiled gently.

The sound of hurried footsteps approached from afar, thumping loudly.

The girl looked up and saw a sexy woman in a blue strapless dress swaying gracefully towards her.

The moment the girl saw the woman's face clearly, she felt inexplicably annoyed.

The woman's smile froze the moment she saw the girl.

The two immediately pointed at each other and said in unison, "You old geezer! What are you doing here!"

Upon realizing they were saying the same thing, they immediately put their hands on their hips and glared at each other, saying, "Don't copy me!"

"Who's imitating you!"

Finding the two women remarkably alike, they turned their heads away in annoyance: "Hmph!"

The girl turned her head to the right and snorted coldly.

The woman turned to the other side and snorted angrily.

After a long stalemate, the woman finally opened one eye and said awkwardly, "It's been a long time. It's really disappointing to see you still alive. You're really tough. How come I didn't kill you?"

The girl crossed her arms and held her head high angrily: "Hmph, I thought you were buried in the ground a long time ago, how come I didn't bury you to death!"

Hearing each other's sarcasm, the two became even angrier and glared at each other.

The woman was still angry, but then she seemed to remember something and said smugly, "You old codger, you haven't found an apprentice yet, have you? Wait till I take one in, then we'll see how envious you are of me, hahaha!"

Hearing this, the girl, who was still sulking, was taken aback by her words. She quickly remembered something, raised an eyebrow, and said, "So that's why you didn't die from staying at home. You even bothered to dress up and come out looking so slovenly. So you were in a hurry to take on apprentices?"

They often like to make bets.

Let's bet on who's better.

In order to see who is better, they sometimes go to participate in international competitions to see who will win first place. Unfortunately, they always end up in a tie, even though their strengths are evenly matched. So they simply go all out and gamble on who will be the first to receive their destined apprentice.

The woman, whose purpose had been discovered, did not panic or try to hide it. Instead, she frankly admitted, "Yes! I'm here to take on my apprentice!"

The girl glanced at the ward door, then at the other person's arrogant expression, crossed her arms, leaned against the wall, and laughed, "Oh? Is that so?"

She said mysteriously, "I bet your future apprentice isn't named Jiang Yihuan, is she?"

The woman readily admitted, "Yes."

Girl: "...Silly."

Hearing the girl call her an idiot, the woman's temper flared up immediately: "Ye Xinchu! If you want to fight, just say so!"

Ye Xinchu rolled her eyes: "Jiang Li, you only came after your apprentice almost died. Are you here to collect his body?"

Hearing this, Jiang Li looked at her in confusion: "What are you saying? Her life and soul haven't been extinguished yet. Please don't curse my future disciple so casually, thank you."

Ye Xinchu sighed and then recounted everything in detail.

After hearing Ye Xinchu's explanation, Jiang Li's heart pounded. That old codger was right; she almost came to collect her future apprentice's corpse!

Hearing that her apprentice had saved her future apprentice, Jiang Li breathed a sigh of relief, but quickly realized something and exclaimed in surprise, "Wait a minute! You have an apprentice!?"

Hearing Jiang Li's shocked tone, Ye Xinchu smugly hummed, "That's right! I have a disciple now! You lost to me, hahaha!"

Seeing Ye Xinchu's smug and arrogant expression, Jiang Li gritted her teeth and said, "Damn it!"

Jiang Li immediately rushed in and said to Jiang Yihuan, who had just recovered, "Jiang Yihuan! Hello! I am your future master!"

Upon hearing this, Ye Xinchu, who was standing outside the door and hadn't managed to stop Jiang Li, rubbed her forehead and muttered under her breath, "Idiot, who comes in so bluntly right away! Aren't you afraid of being seen as a pervert?"

Jiang Yihuan did not agree.

the next day.

Because Jiang Yihuan received half of Ye Qi's life force, her bodily functions returned to normal, and she was discharged from the hospital to the astonishment of the doctors and nurses.

Jiang Yihuan looked up and asked the doctor in charge of her, "Uncle Doctor, how are my mom and dad?"

Upon hearing this, a hint of embarrassment flashed across the doctor's face, but he quickly concealed his emotions and said with a smile, "Your parents aren't well yet, Xiao Yihuan, you should go home first."

He told a clumsy lie; he simply didn't know how to tell the cruel truth to the eight-year-old girl who had just recovered.

Seeing the doctor's expression, Jiang Yihuan recalled the doctor's expression when her grandmother passed away when she was a child, and it was the same as the doctor's expression now.

Jiang Yihuan sensed something and immediately grabbed the doctor's sleeve, her voice urgent: "Doctor, what happened to my parents? Tell me the truth!"

When the doctor saw Jiang Yihuan clutching his clothes, he hesitated, unsure how to begin, as he considered telling such a cruel and heartless truth to an eight-year-old child.

Standing to the side, Jiang Li looked at her calmly: "You want to know?"

Upon hearing Jiang Li's words, Jiang Yihuan immediately turned to look at Jiang Li, her gaze intense, eager to know: "I want to know!"

Seeing the unwavering determination in Jiang Yihuan's eyes, Jiang Li directly told her the truth that others were reluctant to say: "Jiang Yihuan, your parents died in the car accident."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yihuan froze on the spot, her whole body suddenly turning cold as if she had fallen into an ice cellar. Her brain went blank for a moment, she could not feel her body, and her face turned pale instantly.

Hearing Jiang Li's overly blunt words, the doctor looked at her with disapproval. How could she tell such a cruel thing to a child directly?
