Chapter 18 You can't judge a book by its cover, you actually like playing this game!?

Ye Qi tied her hair into a low ponytail, with a few strands of hair hanging down on either side. The little ponytail was incredibly cute.

She was dressed neatly and cleanly.

She carried a small white bag on her back, containing her money and essentials for going out.

Before leaving, I glanced back one last time at my surroundings: "Baby, wait for me to come back—"

She resisted the urge to take it apart immediately and decided to do so when she got home that evening.

*

In the classroom.

The cicadas chirped incessantly outside the window, and a cool breeze blew in through the half-open window.

The empty classroom had only ten students. The students sat in a lazy and unruly manner, but upon closer inspection, the students in the class had an extraordinary temperament and superior appearance.

The teacher on the podium was young and handsome, with striking eyebrows and bright eyes, well-defined features, and a perfectly sculpted jawline. He was the epitome of a refined gentleman.

The girl lying on the table raised her hand. Her appearance was pure yet with a hint of allure. One glance would immediately draw your attention, leaving you mesmerized for a long time.

The girl's clear voice held an alluring tone: "Teacher, Qiqi is transferring schools, let's transfer schools together too~"

A robust but not overly muscular boy standing next to the girl chimed in, "Teacher, should we transfer schools together?"

On the other side, a girl with a mature and sophisticated appearance tapped her fingers lightly on the table, gradually forming a pleasant melody. "Teacher, our class has always had fifteen people. It doesn't feel the same when one is missing. Teacher, please transfer to another school with us."

"Let's transfer schools together, teacher!" everyone said in unison.

They are all future heirs sent by their families from City A to study in the countryside.

Because this man gave up his job at the research institute and insisted on teaching in the countryside, his superior conditions, unparalleled achievements, and god-like intelligence led many influential families in City A to send their children to his school.

Ye Qi was different; she just happened to stumble upon this place.

Although the man was only nineteen years old, he had won numerous awards and gained a great reputation due to his outstanding learning and comprehension abilities and his miraculous intelligence.

Not to mention how many impressive connections men make because of their excellent personal qualities.

This made the family value this man highly, and they made their heirs learn from him.

If they want to transfer schools, the man in front of them has to transfer out of the school as well.

The homeroom teacher, standing on the podium, pondered for a moment. He was somewhat hesitant, but he didn't want to leave.

So I didn't say anything.

No agreement was reached.

They did not refuse.

Seeing the teacher hesitating and unable to decide whether to leave, Si Yuelin, who was sitting in the last row, simply raised his hand.

The homeroom teacher gestured for him to speak.

Si Yuelin’s captivating voice uttered the most chilling words.

"Teacher, Qiqi is the only one in our class who hasn't handed in her homework yet. I reckon she won't hand it in anymore once she transfers to another school and gets a new homeroom teacher."

Upon hearing this, the homeroom teacher slammed her hand on the podium, her face contorted with anger: "That little brat didn't hand in his homework again?!"

The homeroom teacher, who had been hesitant, reacted with exasperation upon hearing that Ye Qi hadn't handed in her homework.

Ye Qi, you scoundrel, is trying to avoid handing in your homework?!

No way!

Want to change teachers?

That damn competitive spirit just kicked in.

He's been Ye Qi's homeroom teacher for four years. Want to run away? No way!

"Transfer! You absolutely must transfer! Which school?"

The girl who initially made the suggestion, seeing that the teacher had relented, hurriedly added, "Shengjing School, teacher, if you can't squeeze in, we can find someone to push you in."

The homeroom teacher suddenly withdrew his hand, his face calm.

The students below, observing the teacher's indifferent expression, assumed that the teacher was afraid of not getting into Shengjing School and was considering giving up, so they wanted to say a few more words of advice.

Before he could even speak, he heard:

"Oh. That's alright then. Principal Shengjing is my brother."

A group of people: "?"

What a shining example of connections!

Unaware that she had been set up, Ye Qi took a pink helmet out of the trunk and gave it to Ye Zhixi.

Ye Zhixi changed into a grass-green sleeveless long dress, with two straps at the shoulders tied together into a bow, and the skirt was made of folded lace.

She wore her hair in a princess style, which made her look elegant and youthful.

Ye Qi got on the electric scooter and patted the back seat: "Come on, hurry up."

Ye Zhixi sat shyly on the back of Ye Qi's seat.

"Sorry, sister, I'm too old to ride an electric scooter right now, otherwise I could have taken you for a cool motorcycle ride!"

Ye Zhixi wanted to hug Ye Qi's waist, but didn't dare, so she could only grab onto the handrails.

Hearing her sister's voice, Ye Zhixi said softly, "As long as it's playing with my sister, I'm fine with sitting anywhere, even walking."

"Okay! Sister, hold me tight, it's easy to lose your balance when sitting sideways."

Hearing Ye Qi's words, Ye Zhixi's heart pounded wildly as she looked shyly at her younger sister's slender back.

Ye Zhixi hugged Ye Qi's waist carefully, as if afraid of hurting Ye Qi.

Ye Qi rode her little electric scooter leisurely.

I rode out of my house, out of the villa area, straight to the bookstore.

Ye Zhixi's wish list is number one.

Browsing a bookstore with my family.

Although she didn't know why she was browsing a bookstore.

Ye Qi parked her car in a parking space near the bookstore.

He then led Ye Zhixi into the bookstore and asked her, "Do you have any books you like?"

Ye Zhixi was still excited when she heard Ye Qi ask her a question. She whispered, "I... I really like fairy tale books..."

Ye Zhixi blushed more and more as she spoke.

Is it childish for a sixteen-year-old girl to still like fairy tales?
