Chapter 316 Ye Qi's Previous Life (shuhaige.net)

This caused her to break down again.

She didn't understand.

Why can't she do anything?

Why is she like a useless person, unable to help anyone, and unable to even save herself?

She was held captive by the thugs like a walking corpse, her heart filled with a deathly stillness, like stagnant water that would never ripple again.

until--

When she saw her eldest brother kneeling before He Nian, she couldn't help but feel jealous:

I wish someone loved her like that too.

pity.

No.

Just as she was calmly awaiting death, she suddenly saw He Nian being pushed by the thugs and crashing into the dilapidated railings. Her eyes suddenly lit up.

Ripples spread across the pool.

She used all the courage and strength she had to grab He Nian.

Together with the lives we missed back then, we hold them tightly in our hands.

But just as she pulled He Nian up, she heard the sound of the thug struggling and collapsing:

"Gu Yun won't let me off the hook anyway! I'll drag him down with me even if I die!"

Her back was suddenly pushed away.

The old railings could not withstand the impact and broke completely.

She and He Nian were about to fall.

As she was caught off guard and felt death approaching, her face instinctively turned pale. But at that critical moment, she inexplicably recalled the life of that girl who had slipped through her fingers years ago.

She seems to be—

There was a second chance to make amends.

At the same time, she also thought about the ending of herself in this world and in this book.

That was a certain death.

At that moment.

She chose to let go.

At least she finally saved the life she couldn't save before.

He was also helpless about his inevitable death.

Her emotions at that moment were both complex and pure.

Gratitude and helplessness.

She saw surprise flash across the face of the person closest to her, He Nian, which then replaced it with collapse and tension—

She forced a smile silently, trying to comfort He Nian and tell her not to be afraid.

But she forgot that she had long since lost the ability to laugh freely.

At the moment of complete fall, her body was filled with fear. The sensation of falling was so real that it aroused her body's will to survive. Her face flashed with instinctive fear, and her eyes quickly reddened.

Her soul began to come alive, began to scream:

Why!

Why her of all people?

Why……

Why does she have to endure this painful life?

turn out to be--

She's afraid of dying.

My thoughts seem to drift back to the past.

Just before she stepped out of the room, on the verge of collapse, she suddenly remembered the lingering fear on the girl's face. She couldn't understand why the girl was still afraid even though she was free.

She asked this question during her last dream about the girl.

The answer received was:

"At that time, I was afraid of dying."

"I was shocked to realize that I was really dead, and there was nothing left."

Ye Qi didn't understand the meaning of those words, so she went out of the room, wanting to find the answer for the girl, and even more so for herself.

The true meaning of this answer.

As she fell, feeling weightlessness spread through her limbs, and she finally understood the meaning of that expression.

Her voice finally faded away with the wind; she cried out in despair:

"But I... don't want to die either."

At that moment, her soul spoke for itself.

Unfortunately, she can no longer save her life, nor can she respond to that voice.

Just as she was about to close her eyes in despair.

She suddenly saw her brother's figure.

She saw her brother reach out his hand to her.

She didn't understand why her brother had fallen.

She thought—

Perhaps it was because it fell down accidentally.

Or perhaps it was because he was pushed down by the assailant.

The only thing I dare not think about is myself.

Because she was too timid, she didn't even dare to think about being loved.

She was thinking:

Was my brother pushed down?

if……

I was cushioning my fall, and my brother just happened to fall on top of me. Will he survive?

She suddenly regretted that she didn't eat every day and ate very little each day.

Otherwise... I could help my brother.

"Thump—"

Ye Qi's entire body crashed to the ground, shattering into pieces like a broken doll.

Behind her, vibrant red flowers bloomed continuously, like a young girl in her prime, blossoming under the blazing sun.

Her brother crashed down in front of her, but didn't die immediately. He struggled to move the rotting flesh on his body, crawled with difficulty to her side, and, enduring the pain all over his body, hugged his sister.

Hug his beloved family.

They died together—

The height of summer in July.

It has a strong aftereffect.

I don't even know how to write this rambling post.

This is the chat section.

If you don't like this rambling section, you can skip it. It won't affect the other extra chapters later on; it's just pure chatting with the little ones.

Some of you may have seen my replies in the comments section. I mentioned that this story didn't have an outline; I just wrote it based on inspiration, and it was going to be a grind. I only knew the sequel a few hours or days earlier than you because I was focused on finishing the writing and playing games every day, without thinking about anything else...

Bao is lazy.

I never originally intended to write about Qiqi's past life (which is the original storyline), nor did I ever think about what the past life of the original storyline would be like, let alone have an outline for it. As I was writing, when I got to the Ye family's awakening chapter, "she" suddenly appeared. Just like Ye Qi at the beginning, who was struggling with the choice between helping and standing by, she finally chose to help Xu Xin who was being bullied.

When I was writing about Qiqi being bullied in her past life, I didn't even remember the story of helping Xu Xin at the beginning. It wasn't until I finished writing that I remembered Xu Xin, which completed the loop.

Even the rooftop chapter was something I never expected; it just popped up suddenly while I was writing it.

I suddenly realized how wonderful inspiration is.

It was clearly not specifically designed, yet it matched up perfectly in the end.

For a moment, I suddenly couldn't tell whether this story was my own or something that had been passed on to me.

So when I finished writing it, I felt it was all so unreal. Suddenly, they came alive in my eyes.

While listening to music and writing, when I got to the last part about the rooftop, a sad song suddenly came to mind.

It made me feel emo.

I even want to arrest myself.

at last.

Wishing everyone happiness every day.

For those of you who feel uncomfortable with the angst, try reading some other cheerful stories first, have a laugh, and remember that your health and emotions are very important!
