Side Story 2: Jian Xingzhi (shuhaige.net)

Let them run a couple of laps as a symbolic exercise, and teach them how to use some sports equipment.

They were then allowed to move around freely.

Jian Xingzhi sat under the tree to cool off, but he couldn't muster any interest. His eyebrows and eyes were cold and distant, with shadows hidden in the corners of his eyes. Stray hairs on his forehead covered his eyes, and a gloomy aura of world-weariness lingered around him.

People dared not approach him even a step.

The stadium not far away.

Shi Yun, holding a basketball, walked towards Ye Qi and pleaded with her in a slightly coquettish tone: "Baby, Zhan won't play with me, so why don't you play with me? I want to play basketball!"

Shi Yun has an exceptionally handsome appearance; he is the legendary young and charming peach blossom prince, just as the peach blossoms first appear, a delicate and alluring pink.

He used his feminine charms to seduce others, and it always worked.

But for Ye Qi, who was immune to it, his coquettishness wasn't very effective.

Ye Qi scratched her head. She had stayed up all night reading a novel and was a little too lazy to move.

But Shi Yun wanted to play, but Ye Yunzhan didn't. She wouldn't play with Shi Yun, so Shi Yun couldn't play by herself.

But she's just too lazy.

So she bargained: "You have to buy me ice cream after school!"

"make a deal!"

Ye Qi immediately stopped being lazy.

She rolled up the cuffs of her blue school trousers, revealing a small section of her fair, slender legs. Under the sunlight, they were so white that it was impossible not to look away.

Jian Xingzhi looked up unintentionally and happened to see the girl casually grab her hair and tie it into a low ponytail with a black hair tie on her wrist, revealing her smooth and fair profile. Under the sunlight, it was outlined with a faint golden edge, making people unable to help but take a few more glances.

The girl seemed to remember something, and turned to look at him. She ran to him, stood opposite him, bent down, her eyes gentle, and her smile bright.

"New classmate, wanna play together?"

Jian Xingzhi remained silent for a long time before looking up at the overly familiar girl.

He didn't understand why this girl was so audacious. They didn't know each other at all, yet she could so casually come up to him and ask if he wanted to play ball.

But he didn't want to play.

Just as he was pondering how to politely refuse, the girl seemed to sense his displeasure and tried to smooth things over on her own:

"Sorry, I was being impulsive. I didn't realize how hot it was today. You should rest first. Come back whenever you want to join us; you're welcome anytime!"

The girl jogged back to the court and paid no more attention to him.

Jian Xingzhi showed no impatience or interest in such behavior, simply taking it as a casual chat from a socially enthusiastic classmate looking out for a new one.

Bored, he simply looked up at them.

The girl seemed to know the boy opposite her very well. After chatting and laughing for a few minutes, they quickly started competing in ball skills.

He steals the ball in a few steps, then jumps and throws it out in a perfect arc for a precise basket.

The boy opposite her seemed annoyed for a moment, but quickly got back into the game and tried to steal the ball from her.

Jian Xingzhi watched the two playing ball in a completely unruly manner and pursed his lips slightly.

Playing like this is so chaotic.

There were absolutely no rules, just like a child playing a game haphazardly without following any rules.

He had learned to play basketball from an excellent athlete coach, and he could learn and master the rules of basketball in less than three minutes.

The rest of the game was a breeze.

He quickly lost interest.

But he still remembers the correct playing knowledge and professional dribbling techniques.

Ye Qi and Shi Yun's movements were completely unorthodox, resulting in a chaotic and haphazard attack.

But they were very happy.

Jian Xingzhi has heard that as long as you have fun, it's okay not to follow the rules.

But he was surrounded by people who adhered to the rules, including his parents. Although they did not strictly follow the rules in their daily lives, when it came to professional knowledge related to their fields, they were so rigid that they would never deviate in the slightest.

Because of his hyperthymesia and his tendency to overthink, he can't help but analyze anything he encounters immediately until he has thoroughly understood it.

At first, he felt a sense of accomplishment.

Over time—

He was tired.

When faced with a problem, I start thinking about it intensely, unable to stop until I've finished analyzing it.

I can remember something immediately after seeing it.

The overwhelming amount of memory he had to memorize was almost suffocating him.

He can only disable some features—

For example, expressing emotions.

For example, social interaction.

That way he'll feel a little better.

They won't be crushed.

But his brother was different.

His brother was too accommodating to others, so gentle that he could compromise himself. He didn't know how to correct this mistake, as if it were a "flaw" that came with him.

They are different extremes.

That's why his parents often worried about him.

He knew he shouldn't make his parents suffer so much, but he couldn't control it; he couldn't control his body's self-protection mechanism.

He had tried to communicate with others his age, but once he started communicating, he would begin to analyze the other person's emotions and facial expressions to deduce their thoughts.

This puts him under even more pressure.

Now, he couldn't help but analyze why Ye Qi was so happy, and he could only force himself to turn his head away and not look at her.

It's equivalent to a form of self-protection through interruption.

He simply got up and left.

them--

We could never be on the same path.

During this period, he habitually ignored everyone, stared blankly at the formulas on the blackboard, and then picked up his schoolbag and went home.

Until one day.

He was stopped by a group of overly trendy and eccentric people with blond hair.

They grinned maliciously, their yellowed teeth gleaming, their voices a mixture of disdain and excitement:
