Chapter 205 Rescue of Nangong Qi

"Shall we continue our research?" Ayao, dressed in a moon-white gauze dress, sat on a white jade coffin, holding a large hammer in one hand and stroking the patterns on the hammer with the other.

“We’ve been researching this for fifteen years, of course we can’t give up,” said Ayao, who was wearing a light blue dress.

Rumble—

A resounding vibration came from afar, and the Yaos sensed two powerful auras clashing thousands of miles away.

After releasing her divine sense, Ayao witnessed this scene:

Deep in the mountains, a man in white is fighting a ferocious beast.

The ferocious beast resembled a macaque, with numerous patterns on its body, red eyes, yellow feet, and white wings on its back. This wild beast wasn't particularly large, its wingspan only reaching a dozen or so feet, but the oppressive aura it exuded was close to that of a Nascent Soul cultivator.

This is a white-feathered ape, a white-feathered ape at the peak of the late stage of the Void Refinement realm.

The white-clad man fighting the white-feathered ape was of near-perfect appearance. He had long, jet-black hair, skin as smooth as jade, and a pair of violet eyes that resembled clear gemstones.

The man's cultivation level was at the early stage of the Void Refinement realm. He wore silver rings on his slender fingers, with silver light shimmering at the tips. With each wave of his hand, countless silver spiritual threads shot out from the void.

These spiritual threads were thinner than a hair, but incredibly sharp. With a single wave of the white-robed man's hand, the surrounding giant trees, rocks, earth, and mountains were instantly cut off, and even space itself was severed. However, because these spiritual threads were so thin, the cut space quickly returned to its original state.

The cut space can be restored, but if it cuts flesh and blood, that would be terrifying. The white-feathered ape was very wary of the white-robed man's spiritual threads, and could only attack from a distance, constantly using its wings to create wind blades, or directly turning its feathers into sharp swords and shooting them out.

The man in white had bloodstains on him, indicating he was seriously injured. He knew the white-feathered ape was constantly draining his strength, but he just couldn't get rid of the beast.

Suddenly, the white-feathered ape opened its mouth and spat out a red ball of light. As soon as the ball of light appeared, it shot towards the white-robed man like lightning, and continued to expand, even absorbing the surrounding天地元力 (heaven and earth energy).

The white-clad man's handsome face underwent a drastic change in expression.

His body shimmered with spiritual light as he flew backward at breakneck speed, raising his left hand to reveal a seven-stringed zither.

The seven-stringed zither had an exquisitely ornate stand, inlaid with numerous gemstones. The strings were silver-white, shrouded in celestial light—it was a celestial artifact. This celestial artifact was extremely taxing; playing it once would worsen the white-robed man's injuries, but he had no other choice at the moment.

With a flick of his right hand across the strings, a clear, ringing sound rang out, and silver-white lightning surged forth from the strings. A swift bolt of lightning, like a silver dragon coiled with countless silver-white bolts, shot forward and collided with the incoming ball of light, bursting forth with dazzling light.

A deafening roar resounded, and the shockwave spread outwards like a hurricane, destroying giant trees, rocks, and mountains, sending countless fragments of stone and dust flying everywhere.

The man in white, coughing up blood, flew backwards for thousands of feet while clutching his zither.

His lips were stained with blood, and his long hair was disheveled, yet it gave his incomparably handsome face a delicate, porcelain-like beauty.

Nangong Qi?

All four Ayaos were very surprised.

The man in white was none other than Nangong Qi. A Yao and the others were shocked that he had come to Chaisang Mountain in the Central Plains. She had not seen Nangong Qi for twenty-five years, and he was already at the early stage of the Void Refinement Realm!

Seeing that Nangong Qi was seriously injured, the white-feathered ape roared and chased after him, putting Nangong Qi in danger.

A Yao looked at the white jade coffin, flicked her sleeve, and a white light surged out, lifting the white jade coffin. The white jade coffin shrank in the air and flew towards A Yao, who then put it into the space of the Reincarnation Pearl.

There's a huge space inside the Reincarnation Bead, which Ayao discovered a while ago. Its purpose is currently unknown, but it's definitely safe for storing items.

After taking the white jade coffin, A Yao in a light blue dress, A Yao in a moon white dress, and A Yao in a pale yellow dress transformed into three long rainbows and rushed into A Yao's main body. A Yao's main body's strength rose from the mid-stage of the Void Refinement Realm to the late-stage of the Void Refinement Realm.

Then, A Yao in purple robes sped off towards Nangong Qi's direction.

Boom—

Smoke and dust billowed into the sky, and the terrifying shockwave shattered the hard rocks.

A white figure streaked through the dust and smoke, like an arrow shot backwards, covering hundreds of feet in an instant. *Whoosh whoosh whoosh—*

Countless feather blades attacked, their sounds of tearing through the air constant.

Nangong Qi held the zither in one hand and plucked the strings rapidly with the other. The clear, resonant sound of the zither transformed into white ripples, shattering the incoming feather blades.

However, his injuries were too severe, and he immediately coughed up blood after plucking the strings. The figure of the white-feathered ape appeared above Nangong Qi, the ground was covered in shadow, a foul wind swept over them, and countless long cracks were torn open by wind blades.

Nangong Qi, his white robes stained with blood, clutched the Spring Thunder Zither and was about to pluck it again despite his injuries when an aura of a late-stage Void Refinement cultivator appeared from a thousand feet away, instantly appearing behind him.

The girl in purple swept past him and charged towards the ferocious beast, which was over ten zhang tall. To Nangong Qi's astonishment, the delicate girl's entire body crackled with azure lightning, and a large amount of lightning gathered on her left foot. Then, she delivered a flying kick, striking the white-feathered ape in the abdomen.

With a loud bang, the white-feathered ape was kicked thousands of feet away, finally crashing into a black mountain peak, causing the mountain to crack and collapse.

The white-feathered ape was buried under countless rubble and clods of earth; it was severely injured, but not dead.

But before it could even pull itself out of the soil, A Yao had already caught up. She stood high in the sky, with huge phoenix wings appearing behind her. These phoenix wings, formed from flames, were ten feet long. She stretched out her hands, and the surrounding spiritual energy and elemental power of heaven and earth roared and gathered towards her hands.

Two enormous, illusory claws appeared in the sky, each a hundred feet long—these were the giant claws of a phoenix.

With a loud bang, rubble and dirt flew everywhere, and the white-feathered ape finally flew itself out from under the collapsed mountain.

Ferocious beasts are all short-tempered. Even though it sensed danger from A Yao, after being severely injured, anger had long since replaced its reason.

It's going to flatten those despicable humans!

But it had only flown a hundred feet when two giant claw phantoms came whistling from the left and right.

In its terror, it didn't even have time to dodge. Its entire body was torn in two by the phoenix's enormous claws. A scream echoed throughout the Chaisang Mountain, and blood and entrails rained down from the sky.
