Lu Lanruo and Lu Hongye stood to the side, coldly watching Lu Xuening. Lu Lanruo said, "Throw her down."

The man holding Lu Xuening slapped her, and Lu Xuening screamed as she was pushed into the deep pit, falling into a pile of white bones. She reached out and touched a skull, screaming again.
Suddenly, she heard a rustling sound. Her eyes widened, and she saw many poisonous insects crawling out from the dark corners. The pile of bones was full of the insects' nests. They usually slept, but they would wake up as soon as they smelled the scent of a living person.
Now these poisonous insects have awakened.
Lu Xuening felt a chill run down her spine as she watched the poisonous insects surge out like a black tide. She leaped into the air, trying to fly out of the deep pit, but before she had gone more than ten feet high, layers of magic arrays appeared above her head, from which blue lightning bolts shot out and struck Lu Xuening.
She screamed and fell into the pile of bones again.
She felt a tingling pain all over her body, then suddenly a sharp pain shot through her numbness. A spider had crawled onto her hand and bitten her hard, causing her to scream in agony. All the venomous insects then crawled onto her body and began to devour her frantically.
"Aaaaaaahh ...
Lu Xuening let out an extremely shrill scream.
Poisonous insects burrowed into her body, frantically gnawing at her flesh, and her piercing screams were extremely chilling.
Lu Lanruo and Lu Hongye watched as she was engulfed by poisonous insects. She tried to stand up, and swarms of insects fell off her, but even more swarmed towards her. She only used her magic to shake off most of the poisonous insects; some were still gnawing at her flesh.

Because she has magical power, she can still struggle; she won't die so easily. But the poisonous insects are endless; she eliminates one wave, and another wave comes, the insects becoming increasingly terrifying.

She fell to the ground, her whole body being devoured by poisonous insects.

Lu Xuening's shrill screams sent chills down the spines of Lu Lanruo and Lu Hongye, but considering what she had done, they felt she deserved it.

After a long while, the poisonous insects dispersed and retreated to their nests.

Lu Yunshen sat in front of A Yao, his gaze extremely complex. Looking at A Yao sitting in front of him, he felt that his seventh sister was now unfathomable.

Lu Hongye and Lu Lanruo bowed to A Yao first, then clasped their hands in a fist and bowed to Lu Yunshen. Lu Lanruo looked at A Yao and said, "Miss, Lu Xuening is dead!"
Upon hearing this, A Yao remained completely unmoved. She genuinely disregarded Lu Xuening, never considering her an enemy, for she didn't deserve that title. To A Yao, Lu Xuening was nothing more than a fly, buzzing around annoyingly.
She didn't notice the dead fly.
Lu Yun Shen's feelings were quite complicated. Although he had long since grown to dislike Lu Xue Ning, he had genuinely treated her like a younger sister. Hearing that she was truly dead filled him with a sense of loss. How had that innocent and kind little girl become what she was today?
Even though he already knew she wasn't innocent, he never expected her to be so heartless and ruthless.
However, Lu Yun Shen quickly returned to normal.
Ayao stared at him for a moment and said, "Let's go!"
After she finished speaking, she stood up.
"Where to?" Lu Yunshen asked.
“Didn’t you say you were unhappy with your low cultivation level? Well then, I’ll be kind enough to help you improve it today,” A Yao said, looking at Lu Yun Shen.
After saying that, she walked towards the secret room. Hearing this, Lu Yunshen was overjoyed and quickly followed A Yao.

Lu Xuening screamed as she sat up, her body convulsing, but she quickly realized she wasn't in that terrifying insect pit. She was now in a valley, the bright moon hanging high overhead. The valley was unfamiliar and shrouded in mist. She looked down at her body; surprisingly, she was unharmed.
Were all those things just dreams?
Was that a nightmare?
