Lou Munan stared at A Yao with his bloodshot eyes for a while before turning his head to look in another direction.
Many lanterns floated on the river, and a white figure stood on the riverbank. The white-clad man with silver hair and golden eyes held a jade flute in his hand, seemingly admiring the boundless moonlight, a gentle smile on his incomparably handsome face.
On the sacred tree, Lou Munan let out a soft hum and jumped down.

"Ayao, Ayao, what's wrong?" Hua Yan looked at Ayao.
Ayao looked outside, feeling someone was watching her. But her divine sense detected nothing; was she just imagining things?
Ayao turned around and looked at Huayan: "It's nothing."
After saying that, he picked up his chopsticks and continued to eat.
After enjoying a delicious meal at the restaurant, Ayao, Huayan, Fengchu, and Chutian went to the auction. Ayao felt uneasy, as if something was about to happen. After renting a cave dwelling at the inn, Ayao didn't meditate inside but went outside alone.
The moonlight was like water, and the streets were still bustling. Ayao came to a secluded spot and stood under a crystal-clear white flowering tree. Suddenly, she said loudly, "What exactly do you want to do by following me all this way?"
Her clear voice echoed in the night, and it was very quiet around her, with only petals falling in the wind.
Ayao was wary of her surroundings. In truth, she wasn't sure if someone was really watching her; her earlier words were just a casual attempt to bluff. She knew Luo Bai was here, but the feeling of being watched didn't seem like Luo Bai's. Luo Bai wouldn't give her this chilling feeling.
Suddenly, a tall figure appeared behind her without warning. Ayao's pupils contracted sharply, and she turned around abruptly to see a face that was impeccably handsome.
A man in a magnificent black robe stood a few steps away from her, surrounded by black mist, his long hair flying, his robes billowing, and his blood-red eyes alluring yet cold.
Ayao's face was as white as paper.
Lou Munan! It's actually Lou Munan!!
The Lou Munan standing before her no longer resembled Xu Fengzhi; he was exactly the same as the Demon Lord Xuan Tian from her previous life. His aura was also exactly the same as Xuan Tian's back then, suffocating and creating a sense of oppressive fear that emanated from one's very soul.
With a determined effort, A Yao was enveloped in blue light as she donned the Kunpeng King Armor. Her cultivation level instantly rose from the Golden Immortal stage to the Great Luo Golden Immortal stage.
Seeing A Yao's tense expression, Lou Munan scoffed disdainfully:
"Even if your true form were here, killing you would be a piece of cake. Don't be nervous, you're not my target tonight."
"What's the fun in killing one of your clones?"
Cold sweat beaded on A Yao's forehead. Although she knew Lou Munan was telling the truth, she dared not relax for a moment. He was no longer using Xu Fengzhi's body, and his voice was no longer Xu Fengzhi's voice. The thought of him devouring Xu Fengzhi made the hatred in A Yao's heart surge uncontrollably.
Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!
The urge to kill raged in her mind, but she hadn't lost her mind yet.
He said his target tonight wasn't her? Then who was it?
Ayao immediately thought of Feng Chu, as Lou Munan's attitude towards Feng Chu had always been quite different.
"What do you want to do to Feng Chu?" Ayao asked excitedly.
Lou Munan chuckled softly, but the smile didn't reach his eyes; they remained icy. The Lou Munan before her was completely different from the Lou Munan A Yao had known before. It wasn't just his appearance or his voice; even the tone of his voice, the way he looked at her, and the feeling he gave her were all entirely different.
"That kid's cultivation has improved quite a bit, but it's still not enough. I don't plan to do anything to him yet," Lou Munan said.
Ayao frowned. If it wasn't Feng Chu, then who was it?
"What exactly do you want to do?" Ayao asked sharply.
The man's wide robes danced in the wind, bringing with them petals. He stretched out a slender hand, and a pink petal fell into his palm. The delicate pink petal quickly turned black in his hand and then withered.
"This is a beautiful place, but it lacks a bit of color. Why not use blood to dye these petals even redder?" The man gazed at the tall flowering trees in the distance, his tone cold and filled with murderous intent.
Hearing this, Ayao was furious. Did he want to destroy this place?
She looked around; all living beings here were joyfully celebrating the festival. The streets were filled with young men and women adorned with flowers, and groups of people danced in every alley. Everyone was laughing. The thought of this place instantly turning into hell filled her with extreme anger.
Ayao reached out and grabbed a silver-white longsword, which appeared in her hand. The sword was adorned with a phoenix totem and was the ancestral sword of the Phoenix Clan's royal family, the Ancestral Phoenix Sword. She slashed with it, and the silver-white longsword unleashed a terrifying sword aura. This sword aura cleaved a thousand-foot-long crack in the ground, and many flowering trees were cut down with a single strike.
Lou Munan's body was cleaved in two by the sword energy, but he didn't shed a single drop of blood. After his body was severed, it was as if the dark mist had been temporarily dispersed, then immediately condensed back together. He stood a few steps away from A Yao, coldly watching her, his handsome face expressionless.
Ayao knew she couldn't possibly hurt him. Her sword strike was a warning, to let everyone in Qingyaozhou know that danger was imminent, to alert Feng Chu, Hua Yan, and Chu Tian, and more importantly, to draw Luo Bai's attention.
She didn't believe that Luo Bai couldn't sense her after she drew her sword.
