Chapter 374 A Twisted Fate

Ayao's vision began to blur, and the figure of the Black Nest Lord in front of her became a double image. She finally couldn't hold on any longer and collapsed to the ground.

The Lord of the Black Nest looked at the girl lying on the ground and didn't know what the best course of action was.

The entire space was utterly silent, so silent that not a single sound could be heard. The Lord of the Black Nest stared at A Yao for a long time, his heart filled with deep struggle. On one hand, he wanted to immediately throw A Yao out of the Black Nest and keep her far away from him, but on the other hand, he couldn't help but feel sorry for the weak A Yao, wanting to pick her up and heal her wounds immediately.

He knew deep down that this girl was entangled with him by a profound karmic bond. The more he connected with her, the deeper he would fall. The lingering obsession stemming from his main soul would cause him to fall in love with her, ultimately losing himself.

However, he was always a part of Xu Fengzhi who had split off, and he could not resist the call from within his heart.

He picked Ayao up.

He picked up Ayao and felt a pang of heartache looking at her pale and weak face. But he quickly realized that holding Ayao in his arms felt like holding a hot potato.

Suddenly, a passage opened beneath his feet, leading to the outside of the Black Nest. Outside the Black Nest was a deathly silent starry sky. He simply threw A Yao into the opened passage beneath his feet, throwing A Yao out of the Black Nest.

The unconscious girl was unaware of what had happened; she floated aimlessly in the starry sky.

This starry sky is actually in the No Return Starfield, where there are many terrifying ancient beasts. The blood on the girl's body quickly attracted all kinds of beasts.

From the gray mist that filled the starry sky, many dark figures emerged. A gigantic, centipede-like beast appeared, its pitch-black body covered with patterns resembling human faces, and it emitted an incredibly foul stench. Ugly tentacles were attached to its body, and its slender eyes locked onto the unconscious A Yao.

Phoenix, phoenix, a pure-blooded royal family of the ancient phoenix!

Delicious! Delicious! This is truly delicious!!

Eat her, eat her, and you can reach a higher level!

The hideous, centipede-like beast roared excitedly, its tentacles and barbels flailing wildly. Just as it was about to pounce on A Yao and devour the unconscious woman, the Lord of the Black Nest, witnessing this from within, finally intervened. A flash of red light appeared, and the beast let out a miserable cry before vanishing into nothingness.

Not only were the other ferocious beasts attracted there affected, but those that hadn't even gotten close to A Yao but had already entered the area were also all wiped out, screaming and turning to ashes.

In the starry sky, the Lord of the Black Nest, clad in a black robe and with no specific appearance but only roughly humanoid features, picked up the unconscious A Yao and disappeared into the starry sky, returning to the Lord of the Black Nest.

He looked at the unconscious A Yao and sighed heavily.

What a tragic fate!

I still can't do it. Even though I know that saving her will definitely get me into big trouble, I still can't bear to watch her die.

On a planet somewhere in the No Return Starfield.

On a planet covered in lush vegetation, many creatures resembling deer were drinking water by a great river. Suddenly, a red whirlpool appeared on the river's surface, and a person fell out of it.

With a splash, water sprayed everywhere, scaring away the creatures that were drinking nearby. Then, a wet boy flew out of the river.

After the boy flew out of the river, he used magic to dry his clothes instantly.

His golden eyes looked around, revealing confusion and contemplation.

What place is this?

The young man was Feng Chu. He had been swept away by the vortex and felt his body falling continuously. No matter what he did, he couldn't break free from the feeling of being bound. So he gave up and let himself fall. He didn't know how much time had passed before he finally reached the bottom.

He had been worried about falling into some dangerous trap, but now he felt quite safe here. But where were Feng Yao and the others?

Just then, Feng Chu saw another vortex appear in the sky above him, a red vortex, from which a sharp scream came. He looked towards the vortex and saw Feng Ran falling out. Seeing that Feng Ran was losing control of her body and was about to fall into the water, Feng Chu raised his hand, and a ball of light enveloped Feng Ran.

Feng Ran kept her eyes open and it took her a long time to recover.

On the river, a pretty young girl with long white hair, dressed in a light blue gauze dress, looked at the boy standing on the riverbank, still shaken. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was Feng Chu.

Seeing that she was alright, Feng Chu dispelled the spell. The sphere of light enveloping Feng Ran disappeared, and Feng Chu flew towards her.

"Are you alright?" Feng Chu asked.

Feng Ran shook her head.

She looked around: "Where is this place?"

"I don't know. I just fell here myself. It's like the starry sky here; you can't even disperse your divine sense here," Feng Chu said.

Feng Ran listened to Feng Chu's words and tried it out. Sure enough, divine sense couldn't be released on this planet. She said:

"It seems we're still in the No Return Starfield. What if the others have fallen somewhere else?"

"I don't know. Let's look for it!" Feng Chu said.

Feng Ran nodded.

So they both flew away into the distance.

They flew forward, and all they could see were steep mountains. There were many creatures here that were not found elsewhere, but they did not see any humans or cultivators of other races. This place seemed to be a barbaric planet.

With a wave of her hand, Feng Ran conjured ice phoenixes around her, these translucent phoenixes gracefully flapping their wings and flying in all directions. Although she couldn't unleash her divine sense, she could use her Insightful Eyes. Golden phoenix-shaped totems lit up in Feng Ran's blue eyes, and her gaze instantly reached very, very far.

She and Feng Chufei flew for a day and a night but couldn't find A Yao or anyone else. One of them was a celestial being, and the other was a golden immortal. At their speed, they would have circled around an ordinary planet countless times, but this planet seemed to be boundless and endless.

“Something’s not right. How come this planet is so big?” Feng Chu said.

Feng Ran said, "We've only been flying for a day and a night, let's keep looking!"

Feng Chu frowned.

Feng Chu looked up at the starry sky, his golden eyes reflecting the illusory stars.

call out!

He flew straight into the sky, wanting to break free of this planet and take a look at the stars.

He instantly soared thousands of miles into the sky, where flashing lights appeared, and the entire sky was instantly filled with countless restrictions. Countless restrictive formations activated, and golden lightning storms shot towards Feng Chu with overwhelming power.
