The Lord of the Black Nest withdrew his hand with lightning speed.
"You absolutely refuse to help me no matter what?" Ayao asked, looking at the Black Nest Lord's profile.
The Lord of Black Nest did not respond to her.
Ayao sighed softly, and silence settled around them. After a while, Ayao looked at him and said, "I don't believe you've never thought about defeating Lou Munan and getting rid of him completely. You can hide for a while, but you can't hide forever. I think you know that better than I do."
"What's the point of living a life of mere survival? How many years have you lived? Millions? Tens of millions? Hundreds of millions?"
"You've lived this long? Have you ever been happy? Is there anything you care about?"
"What are you hiding here for? Just to live aimlessly? Lou Munan is not invincible. Didn't Yan Tang kill him? You say I am her reincarnation, so why can't you place a bet on me?"
Ayao approached the Lord of the Black Nest and pleaded, "I need your help."
The man stared at her for a moment, then looked away.
"Do you believe in yourself?" the Lord of the Black Nest suddenly asked.
He turned to look at A Yao again: "Do you believe you can defeat Lou Munan?"
The Lord of the Black Nest's gaze sharpened, his words piercing A Yao's heart like a sword. A Yao's eyes widened slightly. She recalled her repeated defeats in her past life. Could she defeat Lou Mu Nan? She had no answer to that question.
Deep within her heart lay a fear—a fear of Lou Munan.
The Lord of the Black Nest saw through her heart and saw the fear hidden in her heart. He sneered: "If you don't even believe that you can defeat Lou Munan, how can you expect others to believe that you can do it?"
After he finished speaking, his body gradually faded away and eventually disappeared without a trace.
Ayao sat down on the futon, gazing at the stars reflected in the cosmic lake. Scenes from her past life played out repeatedly in her mind. Death after death, struggle after struggle, and ultimately, demise…

The Demon Realm.
Lou Munan sat high up, holding a glass of wine in his hand; the wine was the color of blood.
The beautiful and charming Ruji entered from outside the main hall, dressed in a black veil, followed by a girl who looked to be thirteen or fourteen years old. The girl wore a light green dress, and her long hair was tied into two buns with gold ribbons. Although she wore no makeup, her pitiful and pretty appearance was truly captivating.
"Ruji greets the Demon Lord."
Ruji bowed to Lou Munan.
The girl in the light green dress knelt down and bowed to Lou Munan, saying, "Yan Rong greets Grandmaster Uncle."
Her voice was soft and gentle, carrying the innocence of a child and the charm of a young girl.
"Yan Rong? Why is that your name? Shouldn't you be surnamed Lu?" Lou Munan glanced at the girl kneeling on the ground. His gaze was cold and devoid of warmth, causing the kneeling girl to tremble with fear.
“Rong’er is a descendant of the Immortal Emperor Yan Tang, so she should naturally revert to her ancestral surname,” Yan Rong replied, her head bowed and her voice trembling.
"If you like to be called Yan Rong, then be called Yan Rong. Your mother is an absolute idiot; I hope you're smarter than her." Lou Munan gently swirled the wine in his glass.
"Rong'er will definitely try her best," Yan Rong said, her head bowed.
Lou Munan took a sip of his drink and asked, "Do you know why I turned you back into a human?"
"Rong'er doesn't know." Yan Rong raised her head and glanced at Lou Munan, then timidly lowered her head again.
"Because of that bit of bloodline from the Great Sun Golden Crow Clan, I need you to use that bloodline to find the Great Sun Golden Crow Clan's ancestral home," Lou Munan said.
Yan Rong raised her head again, her eyes filled with confusion, and murmured Lou Munan's words, "The inheritance site of the Great Sun Golden Crow Clan?"
“That’s right. Your master will tell you the specifics. Don’t disappoint me, I don’t keep any good-for-nothings here.” Lou Munan stared at Yan Rong with a cold gaze.
Yan Rong shivered and bowed to Lou Munan, saying, "Rong'er, Rong'er will definitely not disappoint Grandmaster Uncle. Even if I am shattered to pieces, Rong'er, Rong'er will complete Grandmaster Uncle's mission."
"There's no need for further declarations of loyalty. Ruji, take her away!" Lou Munan said coldly.
"Yes, Demon Lord." Ruji replied respectfully.
Yan Rong stood up and glanced at Lou Munan, her eyes filled with a deep, hidden affection. She had fallen in love with Lou Munan at first sight, but she dared not show it.
She lowered her head, still looking timid, and followed Ruji out.
Her grandmaster was so handsome and powerful; she wanted him. By completing his mission, she could gain his favor, and one day, she would replace Qianxun as his woman.
Yan Rong thought to herself.
She despised her mother and hated her mother, Lu Xuening. She believed that she was definitely a hundred times better than her foolish mother.
Ruji led Yanrong through a corridor lined with braziers, their eerie green flames illuminating the figures of the master and disciple. Ruji was alluring and graceful, while Yanrong was petite and delicate, appearing fragile and vulnerable.
Ruji glanced at Yan Rong beside her and gave a cold laugh.
This little one is indeed a bit smarter than her mother, but does she really think her little schemes can fool anyone? How naive of her.
"Master, where are we going?" Yan Rong asked Ru Ji.
Ruji raised one hand, twirling a strand of her hair with one finger, and said, "The Boundless Starfield."
